EVP of Product Marketing in charge of advertising and branding for satellite communications products and solutions.

For what projects/services did your company hire Borenstein Group, Inc., and what were your goals?

We were launching a new platform for our military customers in the u.S. and roll out a number of new technologies that were hard to explain without having a great creative and strategic marketing effort. That's why we hired the Borenstein Group. They were exactly the right match.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed a number of medium and large firms, and we recognized that given the parameters we have, we can't waste anytime on an agency that will 'learn our business'. The Borenstein Group does a lot of Defense and Aerospace marketing projects for government contractors, so it felt like a good fit for us. Ultimately, we picked them over others because they we ready on day one to execute a highly complex marketing launch with lots of moving parts.

The Borenstein group helped us launch the platform campaign by doing competitive messaging research, developing a narrative and story for the brand introduction, and then build and execute creative tools for our demand gen including digital ads, web site , and a product marketing video with voice over.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked closely with the whole team. That included:

• creative director
• content strategist
• web and digital designers

The entire campaign was managed by their CEO, Gal B., which made us feel we are always in good hands.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The bottom line is that we launched a major marketing campaign during COVID, and were able to get wide acceptance to our innovative solutions, generate quality leads because of the integrated branding that we launched. So both our customers and new prospects were definitely impressed.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had weekly synch calls to ensure comm flow is effective and we had to herd a lot of cats to get technical information and then verify it. I'd say that use of video conferencing (Zoom) saved us as we could see and exchange ideas on a regular basis. big deal during covid to collaborate so closely.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We are a very technical company, and our management team consists of very smart engineers in telecommunications. Marketing technology isn't easy. The Borenstein Group are experts in defense and aerospace and making it simpler to sell to engineers. They bridged the gap between technically complex and easy-to-understand concepts, which helped us convey our products.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

If we had more time, we definitely could have developed more marcom deliverables, but that wasn't in the cards.

The art director and company leadership were both very informed. They made sure that the presentation was accessible and helpful for clients with limited technical knowledge.
