BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the director of e-commerce for a women's clothing company. We have stores and an online presence throughout Canada. We offer fashion at affordable prices.

What challenge were you trying to address with Blue Badger?

We needed a development company for our e-commerce business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Blue Badger takes on anything related to our website, including the frontend and backend. Initially, we had a website in place, and Blue Badger previously helped us refresh it. Now, we're doing that again. We just re-engaged them for the same thing because we need a lot of refreshing in e-commerce, and it's been a few years now.

We're heading into another project with them. The team is also doing backend work on a very old promo engine and modernizing it. They have made many mock-up suggestions for us and suggested best practices.

We're on Shopify Plus, and they help us with maintenance and hosting services.

What is the team composition?

We work with an account manager and a lead developer. They also have an in-house designer who has led a big portion of the design with our internal resources. The owners, Jon and David, also jump in from time to time.

How did you come to work with Blue Badger?

My predecessor worked with Blue Badger previously and was very satisfied with their services, so she re-engaged them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've been working with Blue Badger since July 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

With Blue Badger's help, our website has become faster, prettier, and more user-friendly. With this refresh, we're focusing on conversion optimization and speed.

Every metric has increased year over year since the initial refresh. Revenue-wise, we have more than doubled compared to where we were before.

How did Blue Badger perform from a project management standpoint?

The team constantly meets deadlines and stays on budget. They use Jira on their end. We communicate via email, and we have them on our internal Microsoft Teams channel. The team's account manager is fantastic. I think of her as part of my team, more than a partner. She's very involved, extremely helpful, and ready to jump in at all times. Their lead developer has also been very nice and helpful.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The partnership has been impressive. We have worked with different vendors, and it hasn't been this easy with anyone else. Blue Badger makes things extremely easy. They are true partners, showing up to support in any way they can.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't think there's anything they can improve on. I'm very pleased with them.

Go and sign them. You will be extremely happy.
