What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We hired Young to manage our PPC in April of 2020. He managed our PPC until July of 2022. Over those 2 years he stole $21,493.33 from us. He would charge us a monthly fee that was supposed to be used towards the Google budget. He had his credit card on file for our account (he said he had to do it this way). He would not use the full amount of our budget each month, so his credit card wouldn't always be charged the amount allotted towards our PPC budget, and then pocket the difference. After an audit on our account - we discovered the mishandling of funds by Blindspot Digital. Shame on us for trusting Young - but SHAME on Young for stealing from us! We have multiple emails where Young admits fault and promises to repay every penny.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Blindspot Digital could have done differently?

He only paid us $15,493.33 back and defaulted on the last payment (we had agreed to setup a payment plan instead of pressing charges becuase he promised, in writing, to pay us back). Young states we didn't pay the last invoice and this is how he is justifying not paying us the last payment. It is really simple math. You add up the amount of money we paid Young and then deduct the amount of money Young spent on the PPC budget. He is a very smooth talker and a dishonest person. Ensure you are doing monthly audits on your accounts with him so this doesn't happen to you!!

The vendor responded on May 14, 2024.

 We worked with ServiceWise Electric initially managing their PPC for two years and then their website and SEO. During this time, there was an error made with their PPC campaign. Once it was brought to my attention, I accepted responsibility for the mistake, apologized, and informed that I would reimburse them for any money that was due. But it was a mistake, not intentional. They had full access to the campaign from the beginning. 

If our goal was to intentionally steal, then we would not have provided full access to see everything. After reviewing all the charges, we let them know that we would reimburse them for the discrepancy. We did not pay the additional amount they claim we are short because the last invoice was voided which I tried to explain to them to no avail. So contrary to their statement, we fulfilled our obligations like we said we would. However, we will not pay more because of threats or scare tactics. 

In terms of results, they received 457 calls and 3,084 total conversions. We increased their monthly SEO clicks from approximately 700 to 1,300 and increased the number of organic search keywords to 2,000+. We worked together very closely during the time and they always said they saw an increase in their business from our efforts. We never missed any deadline. I was available for them at all times including weekends. 

Our project turnaround time was never an issue. And having one contact to work with vs. people in different departements is something they preferred and enjoyed. They were so thrilled with the results that both owners provided lengthy testimonials about their results and experience. I deeply regret and have apologized for this unfortunate situation. But we made every effort to end the relationship in an amicable manner.

I’m the owner of Calibur Construction. We do residential, commercial, and industrial construction. We focus on everything, from flooring to roofing, and we’ve been in business for ten years.

What challenge were you trying to address with Blindspot Digital?

Nowadays, everyone uses their phones or computers to look for contractors, and we’re all looking to drive in more work from Google, so we were trying to get more Google leads. We wanted to get on Google’s front page but hadn’t had any luck with the companies that we worked with in the past.

Blindspot Digital helps me with my Google Ads, and they take care of having our SEO updated to drive more business into my website and have more people calling us.

Young cold-called my office one day, and the lady who helps me in the office knew what we had been through with other vendors. She had a good feeling about Young and told me to talk to him.

I was reluctant about hearing him, thinking it was just another sales call. However, he sold me his idea and told me what he was going to do. To this day, he’s the only vendor I’ve ever met who has performed and taken care of what he said he would do.

We started working together in 2014, and our engagement is ongoing.

I know, without a doubt, that Blindspot Digital has done what they said they would do, and they’ve driven more business toward us. We ask people how they found us in every call we get, and we’ve had more people telling us that they found us on Google than before we started working with Blindspot Digital.

How did Blindspot Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

We usually communicate via email, phone call, or text message.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s impressive how Blindspot Digital has done what they said they would do — it’s that simple. I’ve dealt with several companies and spent a lot of money in the past, and we hardly got any people saying that they found us on Google.

Working with Blindspot Digital, I couldn’t ask for anything more; I’m pleasantly surprised and very pleased with their work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of something that they could improve on. Young is the only person I’ve ever worked with, and he has gone above and beyond.

We went through each one, and I picked out some parts that I wanted to be on my website. They then proceeded to build out the website. They’re now working on our SEO and manage our Google Ads campaigns.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The website turned out awesome, and I’m very happy with it. Whenever I want to make any changes, they’re always super accommodating and give me what I want. Overall, the project has turned out great. They couldn’t have done a better job.

In terms of SEO, we’ve seen results earlier than I expected. We’re only a few months into it, and our site is already on one of the top three results on Google.

Blindspot Digital is extremely good at keeping in touch — they frequently send me suggestions and ask questions on how they could help us. Additionally, they always send reports on how our campaigns are going. There’s been no lack of communication at all. Any questions are answered within an hour via email or call. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They put my mind at ease because they care about what I want and how I want them done. Furthermore, Young always informs me what my best options are and works closely with me to achieve my goals.

Honestly, there’s nothing they could do better. I’m thrilled with Blindspot Digital.

The challenge was increasing our presence online and making our website look better.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Blindspot Digital designed and developed our WordPress website. First, they did thorough research on our company and talked to us about what we needed, where we were, and what goals we were trying to achieve. The team then designed banners and all the graphics on the site. The site’s main features are online ordering, a page for our menu, and another page listing our locations. Currently, the Blindspot Digital team manages our PPC campaign on Google.

The evidence is the website itself. The appearance and functionality are excellent. Blindspot Digital’s work has successfully increased our online presence. We’re now more prominent on search engines, too.

They performed very well in terms of project management. We communicated through email and phone.

I’m most impressed by the quick response times. Overall, I’m delighted with their work.

Be brutally honest about your own company. Don’t hold back and have a candid discussion with the team so the team can figure out what to improve.
