I am the Co-Founder of a software development company.

For what projects/services did your company hire Bitorix, and what were your goals?

We worked with Bitorix on the custom software development for a Dapp. We paired on various fronts - coming up with a scalable architecture for the application, choosing the right frameworks and also the best infrastructural resources for the application.

Bitorix helped us in building the backend using microservices architecture, ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the development.

Bitorix was recommended to us by a mutual connect. The founders have a great experience and bring in a lot of expertise. The team was super friendly and agile. After multiple productive conversations, we decided to go ahead with Bitorix.

The scope of work mainly included:

1.  Architecture overview and improvements
2.  Coming up with a project plan
3.  Collaborating on the development of microservices.
4.  Building the infrastructure for the same.

The tech stack included AWS, python, serverless stack and VueJs.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A total of 3 developers worked with us. The founders also provided inputs whenever necessary.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was delivered on time. Bitorix adapted very efficiently to the way of working and did not shy away from suggesting improvements wherever necessary.

We worked in an agile manner, followed disciplines such as a story board that showcased the most recent updates on the stories. We also followed practices such as story kick off and demo at the end of the stories in front of the QAs and BAs. The whole team used a secure messaging platform and people were always available over chat.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We really liked the ease with which Bitorix was able to deliver the project. Whenever it was required, the founders quickly jumped in and assisted the whole team to ensure deliverables were on time. Highly recommend!

Paxful required the development of a platform to facilitate the sale of digital assets by its customers. This platform was intended to integrate with various external services to enable the sale of cryptocurrencies in a variety of jurisdictions and currencies.

We selected this vendor due to their reputation for successfully delivering complex fintech systems on time and their strong technical background. These factors were crucial in our decision-making process as we needed a vendor with the expertise and track record to deliver a high-quality and reliable platform.

The scope of work for Bitorix included extending our existing platform to enable our customers to sell digital assets and receive payment to their traditional bank accounts. To achieve this, Bitorix configured the necessary infrastructure and built microservices to handle the transaction flow. They also configured alerts and metrics to ensure smooth operation and provided ongoing maintenance to keep the platform running efficiently. The technology stack used for this project included AWS, Kubernetes, Python, and Fast API.

We had direct interactions with two principle members, while there were an additional 4 senior devs from their engineering team involved in the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The successful implementation of the project has resulted in several notable outcomes, including the automation of transaction flow in certain regions, which has significantly reduced transaction processing time. Additionally, the use of verified vendors for transaction processing has led to a marked reduction in fraud levels. These results demonstrate the overall success of the project and the high quality of the deliverables. As a result, we have also been able to increase our revenue by charging more for each transaction.

The vendor utilized an agile approach, using sprints to deliver progress on the project. At the beginning of each sprint, they refined the goals and at the end, they provided a demo to update us on their progress. Throughout the project, communication was excellent and they always kept us informed. Additionally, their Jira was consistently updated, providing visibility into the project's progress

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Very strong technical level, which is rare to find among consulting firms. The founders are directly involved in the project, which has contributed to the outstanding results achieved. This is very unique setup.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

To the best of my knowledge, the project has progressed smoothly without any notable issues.

What challenge were you trying to address with Bitorix?

We needed help with custom software development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bitorix developed our custom software from scratch based on the requirements and information we gave them on how to integrate with the database structure from our existing system. The part they built was determined independently, including an internal database structure, which tools to use, and how to make it. In terms of technologies, they used Python, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch.

They built the platform for our internal back office, where we give the recruiters access to the system so they can search through the internal database of profiles.

We worked with an engineer and a DevOps specialist from Bitorix's team.

How did you come to work with Bitorix?

Someone in our company referred them to us.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $200,000–$300,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–August 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The system they created could house hundreds of millions of profiles to make it searchable by various criteria by our recruiters, keeping the database up-to-date. Before, our recruiters had to use LinkedIn, which was cumbersome and difficult — there was a huge decrease in the number of hours recruiters were spending.

How did Bitorix perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was good; they delivered on time, were very responsive, and communicated with us via Slack and GitHub — we asked them to use the tools we preferred.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very competent, dedicated, and goal-oriented.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could find more implementation details of whether the clients are competent or not.

We partnered with Bitlabs on an NFT Platform build and needed them to design and build the whole platform.
