What challenge were you trying to address with Bitmotive, Inc.?

We needed a company that could design a new website for us and handle our digital marketing initiatives.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bitmotive, Inc. has designed a new website for us. I wrote the copy and gave them an idea of what we wanted on each page and how we wanted the site to look, and they took it from there. They also handle our digital marketing initiatives, which involve creating videos and helping us with social media advertising buys. They’ve taken raw videos that we had to create 60–90 second videos for social media.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with six people from Bitmotive, Inc., including a project manager, a webmaster, and media buyers.

How did you come to work with Bitmotive, Inc.?

We found Bitmotive, Inc. through a referral. I got bids from four other companies, but we chose Bitmotive, Inc. because they were the most responsive, and I was impressed with their background in military and law enforcement. They understood who we were and what we were trying to accomplish.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent somewhere around $100,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They give us regular metrics on the ad buys, and we seem to be largely having pretty good results from that.

How did Bitmotive, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Bitmotive, Inc. has performed well in terms of project management. They’re responsive. We typically communicate through Slack, and they use Trello for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Bitmotive, Inc. is creative and dependable. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only issue we have now is that they're growing so much, they're so busy that we don't get the time and attention we used to get from them, but they're still responsive, and they're still doing a good job.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the Marketing Director for a consumer products company in the Conceal carry industry.

For what projects/services did your company hire Bitmotive, Inc. , and what were your goals?

We had some tasks and projects that simple web design and basic Shopify knowledge couldn't accomplish. And we needed someone who could take UX standards and apply them in the places that we were missing them. And most importantly test ideas and have a team we can be close with on making our customers happier and converting more.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They are well regarded by other people in our industry. Our industry is very tight and only has select people that we trust. But also, people who are like-minded and capable of understanding the needs of a company like ours.

Our relationship and project are ongoing with Bitmotive. But one important thing we have done is create a better dropdown experience for our customers to build out their custom products on our page. Our configuration variance is vast and can be overwhelming to customers. Bitmotive is helping us to improve that!

We have worked with the owner, developers, team leads, and project managers. I would say probably 5 or 6

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

There are a few but one recent specific project was a small change that we notice could affect conversion rates. They tested it and we ended up getting a 2% increase in conversion, on average.

We communicate a lot through Slack. Bitmotive has improved their communication significantly. As far as project goals and outlines, we use Trello.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

A lot of the team we work with actually cares and understands us as a company. That is incredibly rare these days, especially in our industry.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Communication, and up-to-date info on projects.
