Despite the challenges of capturing health reporter attention during the COVID-19 pandemic, Beyond Fifteen delivered exceptional results that significantly advanced our goals and demonstrated substantial progress and success. Here are the key measurable outcomes from the project:

Media Coverage and Visibility:

Secured 37 pieces of published coverage, resulting in 244,742,137 earned media impressions. This widespread coverage significantly enhanced our visibility and positioned our organization as a thought leader in patient safety.

Press Releases:

Issued 14 press releases, far exceeding our annual goal of four press releases. This consistent stream of information kept our audience engaged and informed about our initiatives.

Events Supported:

Supported three key events, which helped in promoting our mission and engaging with our stakeholders effectively.

Specific Achievements (2021-2022 Metrics):

Press Release Results: 

• Achieved 1,368 full-text placements with 82.5K total views and 2,170 link clicks.
• Earned Media Placements: 
• Successfully doubled the number of earned media placements from 20 to 40.
• Achieved a balanced distribution of placements across consumer (40%), hospital/healthcare (40%) and policy (20%) audiences.
• Secured at least one thought leader interview per month, totaling 12 for the year.
• Targeted and achieved one tier-one media placement during the fiscal year.
• Media Impressions:
• Although the target was to increase overall media impressions from 217M to 382M, the impressive reach of 244,742,137 impressions was still a significant accomplishment under the prevailing conditions.

Key Message Integration:

Ensured that 63% of the earned press placements included at least two of our key messages, such as the goal of zero by 2030, Patient Safety Moonshot, and APSS, which furthered our mission's awareness and impact. Through these efforts, Beyond Fifteen met our major SMART goals for the year, including enhancing our visibility, driving brand and mission awareness, and generating substantial support for our ongoing lobbying and legislative endeavors. The first 90 days of our engagement were focused on the competitive analysis, customer survey and gap analysis. Beyond Fifteen managed everything from research to survey development and distribution. They then analyzed the results and presented the findings and recommendations to our leadership team. From there, Beyond Fifteen developed a 12-month plan that helped our internal team better align on priorities and focuses. 

Each month, they delivered four blogs optimized for SEO, they also developed and managed the organic social media content creation and posting on Google My Business. In addition, our scope included a quarterly media outreach effort and they developed pitches and media lists to share Cerium’s story in the news. Each week the team shared progress reports and each month we received a recap report.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within the first two months of the program, we had five published blogs and six keywords ranking in the top ten positions. We also saw a 9% click-through rate from Google My Business to the website and seven calls made from the profile.

I would love to see measurable results earlier in the engagement, although I understand those take time to develop and their team was always clear about where their work would serve awareness and consideration vs. conversion goals.
