Beleaf was responsible for the end-to-end development of FIDEX DLT’s centralized digital asset exchange, delivering a fully integrated solution across both web and mobile platforms.

 The scope of work encompassed the design, architecture, and implementation of a scalable and secure trading infrastructure tailored to institutional-grade standards. On the frontend side, Beleaf developed a responsive web application alongside a native mobile experience, ensuring seamless user interaction, real-time portfolio tracking, and efficient execution of transactions. The user interface was designed to balance accessibility for retail users with the robustness required by professional and high-net-worth clients.

On the backend, Beleaf engineered the core exchange infrastructure, including order management systems, liquidity integrations, account management, and secure API layers. The system was built with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and compliance-ready architecture, enabling efficient handling of trading operations and user data.

A key component of the project was the development of a bespoke custody solution. This included the implementation of a secure wallet architecture for the centralized exchange, as well as an advanced custody framework designed specifically for decentralized finance (DeFi) portfolio management.

The custody system leverages Safe (multisignature smart contract wallets) to ensure robust security, operational control, and segregation of assets across different stakeholders.

 Additionally, the solution was designed to support professional asset managers operating within DeFi environments, enabling them to manage client portfolios securely while maintaining transparency and on-chain verifiability.

Overall, Beleaf delivered a comprehensive, production-ready digital asset platform that combines centralized exchange functionality with advanced custody infrastructure.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Thanks to Beleaf’s development, we successfully delivered a fully functional Minimum Viable Product (MVP), which has been instrumental in demonstrating the platform’s capabilities to prospective investors and stakeholders.

This milestone enabled us to validate our business model and accelerate commercial traction. As a result, we have reached approximately €1.5 million in assets under management (AUM), reflecting early client adoption and trust in the platform.

In parallel, the existence of a robust and production-ready MVP played a key role in securing our first seed funding round. We successfully closed the round with equity investors at a pre-money valuation of €4.25 million, marking a significant step forward in the company’s growth and strategic positioning.

What stood out most was their ability to combine deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of the business context. They didn’t just execute requirements — they challenged assumptions, proposed better alternatives, and thought through the implications of each decision from both a product and infrastructure perspective.

Their experience with custody architectures and smart contract-based solutions, particularly using multisignature frameworks like Safe, was especially valuable. It allowed us to implement a setup that is not only functional, but aligned with institutional standards from day one. Additionally, their level of ownership was notable.

They approached the project with the mindset of a long-term partner rather than a typical vendor, which made a clear difference in both the quality of the output and the overall collaboration.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Beleaf Technologies could have done differently?

Overall, the collaboration was very solid and we were satisfied with the outcome. If anything, earlier alignment on certain technical trade-offs could have helped reduce a few iterations during development.

That said, these adjustments were handled quickly and didn’t impact delivery timelines in any meaningful way. Beyond that, there are no major areas for improvement — the team was responsive, pragmatic, and easy to work with throughout the project.

Overall, we had a very positive experience working with Beleaf Technologies. If we had to point out an area for improvement, it would be around timelines for minor revisions—sometimes small changes took a bit longer than expected due to ongoing development priorities. That said, they were always responsive and made sure everything was completed properly. Improving turnaround time for smaller updates and providing more frequent progress checkpoints could make the experience even smoother.

I had a very negative experience with Beleaf Technologies. They failed to deliver the project as promised. When I decided to move on and work with another company, they locked my system and refused to release it. I requested a refund, but they disappeared and stopped responding.

This was unprofessional and highly damaging. I strongly warn others to be very careful when dealing with this company. Based on my experience, they cannot be trusted to deliver on their commitments.

There were no measurable outcomes or progress from the project because Beleaf Technologies failed to deliver. Instead of providing results, they locked my system when I decided to stop working with them and refused to issue a refund. The lack of delivery and professional conduct made it impossible to achieve any progress or success

Dear Client 

We take all client feedback seriously and would like to respectfully clarify our perspective. This engagement was not a greenfield development but a revamp of an existing platform that had previously been handled by multiple vendors, and upon taking over, we identified several structural limitations and vulnerabilities in the codebase that required additional effort to stabilize and align with the agreed scope. 

Despite these challenges, our team delivered all agreed functionalities within scope and provided continuous support, iterations, and demonstrations, including transaction flows, to ensure alignment with the defined requirements. Throughout the project, we coordinated with the client’s internal team, including their CTO; however, we experienced differences in technical understanding and interpretation of blockchain workflows, which led to misalignment during testing and validation. To address this, we conducted detailed walkthroughs and referenced industry-standard platforms to explain implementation approaches, but acceptance criteria continued to shift, and at times progress was impacted by internal holds and changing directions from the client’s side. Additionally, there were requests for features beyond the agreed scope, and while we remained open to supporting them, we clearly communicated the need for revised timelines and commercial alignment, which led to disagreements, including a request for a full refund despite substantial work already being completed using senior technical resources as defined in the contract. Regarding system access, we followed standard security protocols to protect the project environment during ongoing discussions. 

Due to continued differences in expectations and alignment, the project was formally concluded in accordance with the agreed terms. While we regret that the engagement did not meet the client’s expectations, we stand by the work delivered and the efforts invested by our team throughout the project lifecycle.
