We wanted a refreshing website, built on GatsbyJS, that could be updated and maintained by non-technical employees. Loading times were also extremely important.

Our loading times greatly improved, from five or six seconds to 400 milliseconds.

Their commitment to JAMstack was comforting. They were the perfect partner to help us transition to a new development philosophy. I was extremely pleased with the whole experience.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their Slack channel enabled focused, frictionless communication with the whole team. They answered questions quickly. I’ve been working in this field for over 10 years, and this was the best experience I've ever had with an agency.

Since JAMstack is a new way of developing websites, they should scope projects thoroughly in advance. That will impact the resources needed.

We evaluated software teams based on their customer's reviews of how strong their design, frontend, and backend teams were.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We loved working with Bejamas to rebuild Charm's website to allow carbon removal subscriptions for consumers and small businesses. The Bejamas team was well organized, had very high speed of iteration in both design and engineering. We were able to spec out and release multiple features every week, and the resulting site had great quality and UX.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We did weekly sprints, and communicated project plans over Slack. Their plans are clear, and work is on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We loved that Bejamas fell in love with our projects, and we could feel that their work was heart felt.

We wanted to refresh the designs of the websites for all sister funds under the giant Vertex umbrella. The service covers both development and project management.

Replace old Wordpress monolithic application with something more modular: CMS + React + Netlify.

We had conference calls once or twice.

Regular PM sync calls to set solid foundation at the first part of the project. Weekly development sprints ran mercilessly. Design discussion happened adhoc on demand.

What was the team composition?

Denis was doing PM at the beginning while Thom set up the project skeleton. Gracjan was one of the senior. Super-star team who cleared todo lists at lightning speed. Later more juniors joined and they’re also decent. Ralph joined as PM and adopted fast.

No doubt about the impact. The website is the face for any VC company.

Typical best agile practices. Can’t beat it.

Understood user requests well. They delivered quality work at a consistently fast pace. They were communicative on Slack and equally well via email.
