Karla served as the lead UX designer for the Integration Portal, where she was responsible for driving the end-to-end user experience, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and acting as the primary UX point of contact for the initiative. Her scope included discovery, workflow design, interaction design, stakeholder collaboration, and iterative refinement of the user experience based on business and user needs.

In addition to the Integration Portal, Karla contributed to several strategic initiatives across the organization. She supported the evolution of the design system by helping define and apply reusable design patterns, contributed to the Design Team website, worked on enhancements within the Management Portal, and provided UX support for the Buyer Portal dashboard experience.

Key deliverables included:

• Leading the UX design and delivery of the Integration Portal experience. 
• Creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to support product development.
• Collaborating with Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of design solutions.

The projects Karla contributed to are currently in beta, with select customers being onboarded and actively using the experiences. Early feedback has been very positive, with customers consistently affirming the improvements in overall usability, navigation, and workflow efficiency compared to previous experiences.

We engaged BeeReal in a few separate projects: 

1. A blue-sky exercise to redesign our mobile and desktop UI/UX. We worked with BeeReal designers to explain the requirements and evaluated the various creative solutions they provided. 
2. BeeReal worked with us to jazz up our marketing materials. They worked with us to create a set of slides and a brochure that presents our business in an appealing light. 
3. BeeReal redesigned our website flow and design from the ground up. 
4. BeeReal is working with our Engineering team to refine some of the UI/UX in the current shipping product.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Each project had well-defined deliverables that we jointly agreed upon up-front. In one case, it was a set of actionable designs in Figma. In another case it was a completed slide deck and brochure. In a third case, it was a finished website we could deploy to production.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

BeeReal is simply incredible at managing its projects. Although we typically have one meeting per week, the team is in constant communication, reporting progress, obstacles, and seeking our opinions. They are also flexible - sometimes we've changed our minds mid-stream and need to pivot; when this occurs, BeeReal listens carefully, offers suggestions, and gets to work. We haven't had any late deliverables from BeeReal because they take such care to deliver.

BeeReal is willing to meet us on our terms - they happily crafted their work to our budget, learned everything they could, and got to work. They are respectful to us, but are unafraid to voice their opinions when they differ from ours. BeeReal's independent voice has made them more of a partner than a consultant.

I've got nothing here. We've been completely satisfied.

What challenge were you trying to address with BeeReal?

We needed support for the development of our back office, a research tool for public use, our marketing efforts, and regular tech maintenance.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

BeeReal has delivered a comprehensive range of digital marketing and product support services. On the marketing side, they developed a robust content calendar aligned with both SEO and business objectives, while also providing practical guidance for promoting content across social media and other platforms. They set up and managed PPC campaigns on Facebook and LinkedIn Ads, crafted a social media strategy to strengthen brand awareness and engagement, and oversaw the regular scheduling and posting of content. Additionally, BeeReal handled email campaigns and newsletters, monitoring key performance metrics such as open rates and click-through rates, and refining strategies based on results.

Beyond marketing, BeeReal contributes significantly to design and product development. They created UI prototypes and refined interfaces based on UX principles, enhancing both a custom made, public facing research tool and the engagement workflow. Their process included gathering real user feedback, translating it into actionable UX/UI improvements, and running test iterations to identify and resolve issues prior to launch.

On the technical side, BeeReal managed a database migration between server platforms and optimized user flows on the ProSocial website to boost engagement. They tested and configured the backend database to ensure stability and functionality, improved UX and UI within the back office, and carries out CRM data integration and testing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

BeeReal's projects have been successful. We've launched a functioning research tool and back office with no issues or kinks. We've also seen increased engagement rates on social media and through direct marketing emails.

How did BeeReal perform from a project management standpoint?

BeeReal's project management is very attentive and responsive. We communicate via email, Slack, and Zoom meetings.

Internal reliance on the platform, which was not there before. Operational improvement for the teams on methods to deliver information to investors, which was very manual before.

Very responsive to needs and requirements. Items delivered on time and in budget, focus was on getting the UI/UX right first before building, which meant that the build was as expected and did not need revision once developed.
