For what projects/services did your company hire BeCurious Studio?

We needed a modern product design and company brand that matched our market intentions and core values.

How did you select this vendor?

We sought to work with an award-winning design firm that would challenge us to develop a simple, yet elegant product. We interviewed several firms, and we appreciated the direct, honest, and diverse approach that the BeCurious team presented from the initial introduction throughout the entire selection process. They were reasonable with their time and cost estimates, and were willing to work with us on our schedule.

We initiated a design sprint using their methodology to understand our purpose and customers better. We engaged with market experts and target customers to gather perspectives and validate our direction. We collaborated on core design principles, and co-developed the product vision. BeCurious then developed the UI, UX, and wireframes we needed to create our product design. They then led us in a Branding Sprint to establish our core principles. That resulted in a Brand Guide.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We established wireframes and a brand guide that our development partner was able to utilize to drive our new development efforts. We've now released an alpha version for BeCurious to provide design and branding adherence feedback.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Excellent communication and collaboration using tools like Miro, Zoom, and email.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I'm impressed with their candor and fresh perspective on an old industry. Their willingness to push us forward and push back when needed. The open and honest communication was critical. They were all incredibly responsive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The timeline extended a month longer than we anticipated, it would have been nice to have been completed on our original timeline. However, creativity does not always align to rigid timelines, so it's important to create the slack in the overall project to account for it.

Six Cinquième is a creative agency with a focus on branding and production for businesses and entrepreneurs. I am a creative director, brand strategist and founder of the company.

We hired BeCurious to help develop our website. We recently rebranded and did an in house, custom redesign of the site. We needed BeCurious' expertise in developing the designs and realistically adapting our ideas to the web.

How did you select BECURIOUS STUDIO and what were the deciding factors?

Our agency has collaborated on web projects with BeCurious prior. Having observed their detailed process and professionalism first hand, it was an easy decision to hire them for our own project.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Having completed the designs internally in Adobe XD, we gained feedback on their feasibility. This was an important step, because BeCurious' knowledge in UX is unparalleled and we wanted to make sure our site offered not only a beautiful experience aesthetically, but a user friendly and functional one as well.

With designs approved and expectations communicated, the hand off to development was smooth. We were engaged in the process and able to give our feedback on how the designs were being adapted. With user testing, small tweaks were made until our vision for the site was achieved. The process was swift. Being first time Wordpress users, upon completion of the site, we received a tutorial on how to use the WP platform and customize it to our liking. It was a learning curve at first, but fairly easy to take on.

We worked with 3 people, one project manager and 2 web developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We had a successful launch of the site with a flood of great feedback on the design and user experience.

The PM was very personal, we felt engaged in the process with regular meetings. The team was very attentive. As the project was small scale, we communicated mainly over email and using google drive to transfer important assets.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their knowledge of web design and UX. Also the attentiveness and willingness to solve problems no matter what.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Doesn't apply here. No complaints!

BeCurious was hired to design our company logo and build a website.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to have a create clean modern logo that would be different then all our other competitors usually have in the industry. We wanted a clean, modern and straight forward website.

From online reviews and we this vendor has done a previous project for us in the past.

Vendor created our company logo , as well as business cards and developed company website.

What was the team composition?

Team was composed of several people, we used message boards to go over every step of the project to ensure no detail was missed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have had positive feed back after printing marketing materials with our logo. People feel that the design is very new age, and different.

Their workflow was seamless and professional.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Most impressive I found to be the execution, the presentation and the delivery of my vision. They were able to take my ideas from scrap paper and bring them to life. A job well done!

What was the team composition?

Primary contact and project manager was Stanley. There was also a team consisting of designer Vlad and creative director Fabrice as well as another designer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I was absolutely thrilled with the services received. We had constant communication and they challenged my understanding of things and have taught me so much about how websites work and how branding is created.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Super easy and effective, every week I received an update of work completed and we reviewed progress together.

Never was there a moment of uncertainty or me having to look for them.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Communication and how interesting the process was. A task of creating a website and logo seemed like a nightmare to me but they made it fun, exciting and like a game.

Payball was a mobile app only. BeCurious developed a web app so now Payball customers can Payball from any device!

What were your goals for this project?

Enable Payball users to Payball from any device.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

BeCurious had helped design some of the UI of the Payball mobile app.

BeCurious proposed a UX and UI for a desktop experience.

What was the team composition?

Stanley, the CEO, was the main point person focused on design. He employs an offshore development team and I had one main point of contact from the team - Krisanu - who was very knowledgeable, very communicative and responsive. Overall a great experience with them!

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

I just completed a project with Stanley and his BeCurious team for my app, Payball and they were fantastic! Stanley was a pleasure to work with as was his development team. 

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They were - and remain - extremely responsive. Communications with them were simple...something that's not always easy to find. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I've worked with many design and development teams in my career and BeCurious stands out in their ability to quickly understand business context and apply highly effective design approaches including both UX and UI elements to create elegant, simple and robust solutions.

No. I have already recommended BeCurious to a friend who hired them for their own business launch!
