I’m the director of Fishfinger Creative Agency. We specialize in animation, website design, and branding.

BBK Partnership supports us with tax, accounting, and financial consulting services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve been working with BBK Partnership since our organization began. In that time, they’ve helped us with all of our financial dealings. They’ve supported us through the best ways to sort out our taxes and maximize our R&D efforts through tax credits. When we deal with international companies, the team helps us prepare the required documents and forms. On top of those services, they also advise us on the day-to-day running of the company.

What is the team composition?

We’ve mainly worked with two contacts, the director and a tax specialist. They have a larger team supporting them on the backend.

How did you come to work with BBK Partnership?

We’d worked with them before within our larger organization.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began in January 2014 and is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their consulting has saved us a lot of money, especially on the R&D front. As a whole, BBK Partnership’s team is extremely clever—they don’t just understand the taxes, they understand how our business runs. If they ever think we’re not performing as well as we could, they’ll advise us and provide guidelines on how to correct ourselves. They allow us to focus on our own creative work, as we’re confident they have our business’ best interests in mind. Their partnership has been invaluable. 

How did BBK Partnership perform from a project management standpoint?

We have monthly meetings, where the team comes into our office and we can discuss where we are and what we need. It provides our team with a comprehensive overview of what’s going on. In that way, their locality makes a big difference.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their understanding of how our business runs, rather than just looking at the numbers, makes all the difference. BBK Partnership has enough insight to be able to have discussions as to how the business is performing and can provide input, which we really appreciate.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we’ve never had an issue with them. All of the advice they’ve offered has been completely sound and they’ve been very professional. We couldn’t value it enough.
