BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

We are building an A.I. powered voice assistants for gamers called Fridai. Our company is a startup located in Berlin, Germany, and as COO I oversee financial, legal and other operative tasks at our company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Battalion?

When we decided to rename our voice assistant to Fridai, we realized we need a complete re-brand. We have heard from our investor partner that Battalion did a great job with their re-design, so we have decided to work with them.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal with this project was the complete re-design of an existing solution: colors, fonts, brand book, logo, animations, you name it.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We have looked in a couple of providers based on the recommendations we have received, but Battalion seemed to be the most excited about the opportunity, and during the initial discussions they've shown great level of professionalism too.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

We have started with a thorough screening document: we were asked about all sorts of details about our company, about our customers, our goals, our expectations, our vision, etc.

After this we have launched a workshop where we dug deeper into our needs, our vision, and based on that Battalion has promised to provide us a timeline and action points to follow on.

They have kept their promises: within the agreed timeline we have received the initial branding elements which we could use as a starting point of our further discussions.

In the final phase we have decided which creatives did we like the most, and finalized the solution. Everything was running smoothly according to the plan, the project management was excellent and the participants were dedicated and professional.

What was the team composition?

We worked with a project manager and a branding expert. The owner of the company was checking upon us from time to time.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have received many feedback about how cool the new brand look is, also our customers love it: since we are a startup, it is important to show that we might be at the beginning of our journey, but we take ourselves and our solution seriously. Battalion helped us to achieve this goal.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective workflow: we have used PM (Trello) and collaboration (Slack) tools to keep the information flow undisputed. The team was always available during our project, and ready (and capable) to help.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The level of excitement and dedication they showed towards our small startup was amazing.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They need to grow bigger so more companies can work with them. :)
