I’m the president of BatesMeron, a Chicago-based creative design boutique.

What challenge were you trying to address with The Banditry Co.?

We needed someone to provide us with video production services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The Banditry Co. has been our primary video production partner, providing us with animation-style videos. We share creative briefs with them and fully involve them in the project acquisition process so they can achieve a better scope of the work.

Our collaboration includes scriptwriting, storyboarding, and the post-production process.

What is the team composition?

I primarily work with the two partners of the company.

How did you come to work with The Banditry Co.?

I interviewed one of the partners prior to them starting their own business. We kept in touch over the years and have been partners since they set up The Banditry Co.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested somewhere between $50,000–$200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing relationship started in November 2015.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The Banditry Co’s work has been instrumental in helping us and our clients achieve our goals and improve our brand recognition.

How did The Banditry Co. perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team consistently works ahead of schedule and is quick with their deliverables. The team is always on top of the process and despite not having a dedicated project manager, they’re still highly organized.

We manage the project through Basecamp and typically communicate on Teams.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with their level of creativity, innovative solutions, and accurate delivery of tasks.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There will always be limitations, but I’m mostly excited to watch them grow and expand so I can get more out of them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would advise you to have a complete creative brief of what you’re trying to achieve, so they can better understand your needs and present you with a variety of samples.
