The company is a Human Resources consultancy focused on offering employee engagement solutions. One of the the solutions is a rewards and recognition mobile application to drive employee engagement. My position in the company is Founder and CEO

For what projects/services did your company hire Badgewell, and what were your goals?

We wanted to develop a a simple, intuitive yet engaging mobile app that facilitates peer-to-peer recognition and rewards redemption from a rewards catalogue. Our goals were to ship a user engaging mobile experience with a clean design and seamless experience that automates the rewards and recognition function end-to-end.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Well, we met and received proposals from 15+ software vendors to be able to settle on the best partner for this project. We had some criteria in mind while choosing the right vendor. Firstly, how collaborative the designated team is, in the sense that we are able to ideate, discuss and solve problems as we go along in an agile manner. In essence we were looking for a vendor who would not just deliver the software but contribute in solving the problem we are trying to solve.

Second, is the design team, as we were looking to ship a product that is user friendly and intuitive, we needed a UX/UI designer who can deliver intuitive workflows and screens. Third, is the price, as the app is still in the MVP stage, hence we needn’t spend loads of money on the solution to start with.

The scope of work included the following steps.

1. Design sprint
2. User story mapping
3. UX/UI delivery
4. Backend and frontend development
5. App testing

The technologies used were:

• Framer for the prototype
• Node.js for backend development
• React Native for frontend development
• Angular for the admin panel
• MongoDB for the database
• Jira for real-time collaboration

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Well, to start with, the delivery estimates were within the communicated range (3-4 months) which was aligned with our aim of shipping an MVP fast to be able to test our hypothesis. Second, the design of the prototype and the actual design received great feedback from real customers. Last, the development work resulted in some bugs (but as far as we understand it is normal to have a few bugs here and there), Howbeit after testing, a smooth running app was shipped.

Badgewell follows a scrum approach to delivering work where they use Jira for running 1-week sprints.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What is most unique about Badgewell is the partnership approach they follow when working with customers. They worked as if they owned the product and were actually part of your own team, not an outside vendor. This provides clarity when it comes to people, processes and progres.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Well, we believe they have a great team with a great spirit. They might look at the pace of work at times and how synchronized the work is internally

"Here is my Talent" is a fully designed digital platform that serves as a smart brokerage ecosystem in the world of football. The platform connects players (amateur and professional), clubs, agents, and fans—revolutionizing talent discovery, scouting, and communication in the sport.

Key Deliverables (Design Completed):

1. User Interface (UI) & User Experience (UX) Design

• Full set of high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes for mobile and web platforms.
• User-centric flows tailored for players, clubs, agents, and fans.
• Design system including typography, color palette, iconography, and UI components.

2. User Profiles & Onboarding

• Custom-designed onboarding flows for each user type (Player, Club, Agent, Fan).

From a social perspective, there were no areas for improvement—Badgewell maintained excellent communication, fostered a collaborative atmosphere, and ensured that all interactions were respectful and professional. Their team was approachable, responsive, and genuinely committed to building a positive working relationship throughout the project.

We needed advice and help in creating an app that connects small retailers with local clients nearby. Our goals with hiring them were to get insight about how to layout the app and then create the design.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was referred to this vendor. The deciding factors were someone who can help us and give us advice on how to better the app, while simultaneously creating a professional app, and being active in order to keep the project moving.

I communicated the project through a meeting, then BadgeWell made colour schemes and I chose one, then I was updated on their progress through weekly meetings until the app design was finalized. The project was done on Figma.

We have not launched the app but conducted surveys using the app design, it was very professionally done.

The communication was perfect, on a weekly basis on Zoom as planned. All the work was done efficiently within our planned timeline and anything needed was corrected quickly.

They guided us through the features within the app and recommended replacing the more costly or inefficient features.

It was very well done.

We are in the phase of implementation now. We just started a month ago, we are already getting positive feedback from users about how the system can save them time and improve productivity.
