Scope of Work

B-Three Solutions designed, developed, and continues to enhance Sight On Scene, a comprehensive safety and security platform built to centralize critical information, improve situational awareness, and streamline emergency response. The project included the development of a scalable application capable of integrating live video, emergency alerting, personnel accountability, visitor management, communications, and facility-specific safety resources within a single platform. The engagement also required an agile development approach, allowing the platform to evolve as new operational needs and use cases emerged. B-Three worked collaboratively to transform concepts into deployable solutions—from developing new functionality and hardware-supported workflows, such as a self-service visitor management kiosk, to adapting the platform for specialized environments, including mobile medical units deployed nationwide.

Key Deliverables:

Centralized Safety & Security Platform: Development of a unified application providing access to live camera feeds, emergency information, facility resources, and response tools from a single interface.

Emergency Alerting & Panic Response: Integration of panic buttons, emergency notifications, critical mobile alerts, location-based beacons, and communication tools designed to accelerate emergency response.

Personnel Accountability & Reunification: Development of staff/student accountability, roll-call, status tracking, and reunification capabilities to support organizations during emergency events.

Visitor Management System: Creation of a comprehensive visitor management workflow, including self-service kiosk functionality, identification scanning, badge/label printing, watchlist and whitelist management, and administrative oversight.

SIS & Third-Party Integrations: Integration with external systems and data sources, including student information systems such as PowerSchool and FACTS.

Facility Mapping & Situational Awareness: Interactive mapping capabilities connecting cameras, alerts, access points, escape routes, documents, and other facility-specific information to physical locations.

Mobile & Specialized Deployment: Adaptation of the Sight On Scene platform for nontraditional environments, including a power-independent deployment on OptumServe mobile medical units supporting veterans' healthcare nationwide.

Custom Feature Development: Ongoing design and development of new functionality in response to evolving client needs, allowing ideas to move rapidly from concept and prototype to production-ready features.

Scalable Architecture & Ongoing Enhancement: Development of a flexible foundation capable of supporting new facilities, organizations, integrations, hardware components, and future functionality as the product expands.

1. Successful multi-site deployment: Sight On Scene progressed from concept to a production-ready platform deployed across multiple organizations, schools, facilities, and specialized environments.
2. Expansion into new use cases: The platform was successfully adapted beyond its original implementation, including deployment on OptumServe mobile medical units supporting veterans nationwide, demonstrating the scalability and flexibility of the underlying technology.
3. Continued feature growth: The product expanded to incorporate live video, panic alerting, emergency communications, accountability, visitor management, SIS integrations, facility mapping, document access, and other safety functions within one platform.
4. New hardware/software solutions: Emerging customer needs led to entirely new solutions, including a self-service visitor management kiosk integrating the application with ID scanning, badge printing, and visitor screening workflows.

Their team consistently delivered project milestones on schedule while remaining flexible as our needs and priorities evolved. They were especially effective at taking new ideas—sometimes presented as little more than a concept—and quickly determining how to design, develop, and integrate them into the existing platform. Communication was consistent and accessible, and their ability to adapt on the fly allowed us to pursue new opportunities and use cases without disrupting the continued development of the core product.

What stands out most about B-Three Solutions is the accessibility and consistency of their team. They are a small but highly capable group, which gives us the benefit of working with people who genuinely know our product, our goals, and our history. Their entire development team is in-house and US-based, with no outsourcing, so we aren't constantly being handed off to unfamiliar developers or waiting for someone to become acquainted with our project. As a local Pittsburgh-area resource, they're readily available when we need them, whether we're discussing a long-term product goal or working through a new idea on the fly. That combination of personal attention, technical depth, and continuity is difficult to find in a software development partner.
