aveneo developed a multi-layered application for us using cross-platform Electron technology for macOS and Windows, with plans for future Linux support. The application is modular, allowing any layer to be replaced at any time. Its greatest strength and advantage is the provided SDK, which enables expanding its functionality with additional plug-ins available from the marketplace.

aveneo built the entire application from scratch within a few weeks, demonstrating impressive speed and efficiency. They developed a multi-layered architecture that ensures flexibility and scalability for future enhancements. The team also created an SDK and several plugins, enabling control over various system aspects on both macOS and Windows via our devices. 
These achievements reflect significant progress and success, meeting our project goals with precision and thoroughness.

We are a long-term and a recognised partner of Microsoft, functioning on the market since 1996. We specialize in the use of IT in business. Our team consists of experienced consultants, experts in the field of IT consulting and programming, whose skills are confirmed by numerous certificates. My name is Piotr and I’m the CEO of SEETECH.

For what projects/services did your company hire aveneo, and what were your goals?

We created a whole B2B/B2C eCommerce platform integrated with Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Our goal was to create a web solution for our customers and their customers as another endpoint of our solutions. Our platform provides web-based interface for whole transactions process and real time end to end objects synchronization. We have implemented many instances of platform for customers, created custom mobile apps and customizing it both from UI/UX point of view and business processes, business logic and even further - core fundaments.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We meet once before starting cooperation and talked lot about how we can create an eCommerce solution, that will be strongly dependent on our product, but also flexible enough to implement on different market and meeting different needs. Our meeting was full of ideas and good starting points so we decided to move on and start transforming vision to real market product.

As our company uses Microsoft products as base for any project we decided, that .NET is a good point of start and in long-term perspective is stable technology stack. We started with implementation functionality from mockups that we designed few months earlier. From the very beginning we implemented two branches of our new product creating generic implementation and specific for one of our customers. After a few months, together with aveneo, we delivered the first release and started over refactoring code and moving to next customers.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with a few people. Over 10 years many things have changed, but we always worked closely with Dawid and his business partner Maciej on analytic and consulting areas. We spent many many hours discussing about product shape and rethinking some ideas, to make it even better. This was core value for us to not only have developers or project managers, but somebody who is really involved in our business and helps us making right decisions.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We managed to get many customers thanks to the jointly created platform with aveneo. We were be able not only to provide Microsoft Dynamics NAV solutions, but we added a complementary web and mobile solution what met the needs of our customers.

We always worked remotely. We spend dozens of hours on phone calls every week, Skype calls etc. and this time was priceless. aveneo used their own internal process of task management, but we delivered them TFS as tool for code base management. This was one of our needs to keep code locally and serve it from our internal servers.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Hard to say about one thing. But most impressive is flexibility of the team. Even if they have no experience on some area like development inside Microsoft Dynamics NAV they are not afraid to say that and they just do it. For some of our implementation we needed to modify things on our side and if we didn’t have enough own resources aveneo did it for us. Just like that.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

After few years we were in need of migrating existing solution to newer version of .NET and browser technology area. But in fact it wasn’t the fault of aveneo - technology developed very dynamically. The only thing that could be improved was around time-planning of migration. On both sides we chose the wrong moment whee two clients were waiting for their implementation, but after all everything goes smoothly.

I’m the CEO of a tech leasing company. Our company was established in 2010 and we operate in the Polish market only. Our main focus is to make small-ticket contracts for computer and photography equipment.

What challenge were you trying to address with aveneo?

We needed someone to develop a platform to manage and cooperate with our partner companies.

What was the scope of their involvement?

aveneo built and developed an internal infrastructure that allows us to manage our partner companies, as well as their employees. We use this system to manage and process different types of contracts.

This also allows us to delegate questions by the partners within our company so they can be answered by the right person. Moreover, our system shows us statistics so we can easily analyze our history, the number of applications we acquired, the cases we’ve answered, and the technical issues and problems experienced.

We still cooperate year by year whenever we have new ideas on how to process applications. aveneo also changes and adapts the software according to our needs.

What is the team composition?

We work with 2–3 people, mainly the owners of the company.

How did you come to work with aveneo?

Their company is actually located in the same building as ours. At the time, we were both small companies, so we spent a lot of time discussing different solutions in the beginning.

How much have you invested with them?

Yearly, we spend about €15,000–€20,000 (approximately $18,000–$24,000 USD), but for the 10 years that we’ve worked together, we spent less than €200,000 ($240,400 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership started in January 2010.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

To some extent, the success is very obvious. We are able to process a number of applications from the different websites of our partners, with the system created by aveneo. From my point of view, the software is good enough to provide solutions and manage our partners properly.

How did aveneo perform from a project management standpoint?

The communication is well enough as our relationship with aveneo is very close all the time. If there are new ideas, we arrange meetings where we discuss our needs, expectations, and level of engagement.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I think aveneo is quite flexible in the different aspects of the work and technologies.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We evaluate the state of our cooperation and continuous process all the time. When something is not satisfactory, we sit down with the people and discuss the areas of improvement.

The most important part is the relationship you establish with the company. You should always have clear expectations. Sit down with them and precisely define the expectations in your cooperation.

Key deliverables included a flexible system capable of handling various claim scenarios, electronic document exchange, digital signature capture, claims settlement functionalities, and a high standard of availability and security throughout the platform.

Aveneo started with an efficient analysis conducted at Metro’s headquarters in Warsaw, followed by iterative weekly deliveries of new project areas using the Agile methodology. They continuously verified requirements and designed subsequent elements of the business process.

After several weeks, this approach resulted in the delivery of a final product that precisely met our expectations.

We have built an LLM-based (Large Language Model) AI generative tool to handle queries. This tool is powered by our own data source, which is why we have developed tools for scraping documents and websites. We have also built a module that allows you to define advanced communication flows and a decision-making system. Additionally, we have equipped assistants with solutions for predicting user behavior and roles.

Creating our own dedicated AI assistant, building the knowledge base it uses and fine-tuning it to answer the most complex questions.

They were ahead of schedule from the beginning. We worked in an agile methodology. Our every need was met. If something was impossible, they explained it and showed the technological limits while suggesting an alternative path.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their determination to explain technology to us. During the bidding stage, they were very active in showing us the different possible paths. They are also very flexible for small side jobs. The ease of contact and their availability were also impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something aveneo could have done differently?

They need to improve their way of offering because at a very early stage we didn't understand the options they presented to us and we almost didn't enter into this cooperation. Only at a later stage did they explain in detail why they presented us with three offers.

Invado company is a manufacturer of modern interior doors, offering several hundred door models on different markets. We represent Invado marketing department and we are responsible of promotion of our brand.

For what projects/services did your company hire aveneo, and what were your goals?

We needed a tool that would allow us to generate a visualization of each of our door models. Since there are thousands of possible combinations, and the number is constantly growing, the tool had to be flexible and well suited to our operating scheme.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They made a good offer for our project and showed us, that they understand the scope in every detail. This was most important for us, to have a partner, who will clearly transform our needs into a ready to go project

We worked for a few weeks in a really well organized environment. After each week aveneo delivered some functionality to tests. Finally they presented us with a beta product, that we tested. After doing some UX changes and bug fixing product has been installed on our Linux server.

As far as we know whole stack is based on Microsoft .NET platform, but we are not technically involved. It's working as expected and this is the biggest value.

Mainly we worked with one man, who was responsible for being our single point of contact, and this was quite convenient. But there were a few more guys in the background of every meeting - like developers, project manager, devops

We use delivered visualization to supply our ecommerce platform. It's used on every step of selling process.

We worked 100% remotely using phone calls and online meetings. aveneo shared management tools with us useful during the development process, and stage environment for testing purposes. This was perfect experience.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Thanks to their SDK the very first result of their work was available after one sprint/week! This was very impressive, how fast they can build application using components their have. And contact with person responsible for business part of cooperation, that has full technological knowledge allowed us to better understand the project structure and costs, on every level.
