I wanted to create a mobile app that was user-friendly, and unlike any other app available. They helped create a platform to meet all of my needs to provoke change within many women. My goal was to have a course, a social platform, and healing activities available for ultimate healing.

I am the CEO of a social economic development and strategic communications company focused on the Pacific region.

Due to the crisis issue of climate change and covid-19 we wanted to develop a digital platform for Pasifika peoples voices to be heard in the global climate change and Ocean degradation conversation especially concerning the Pacific Ocean - Moana Pasifika. Auxano were engaged to develop mobile app and web platforms for us.

We placed an RFP in a global tech industry magazine to find a developer. After a vetting period we eventually commissioned Auxano. We chose them because we were able to shape our needs, structure communication, ensure space to be creative all around a value for money budget and payment structure.

Initially all on paper, we focused on refining the concept. Then functionality. We then determined feasibility. Once satisfied we then entered into the build phase. Content creation, brand identity, usability and budget were all integrated in the build. Next server and network integration. Marketing and development planning. iOS, Android, website, Flutter, AWS, MYSQL, NODE.JS. Angular.

We worked with the company executive and also an assigned account manager, then departmental heads with sometimes technicians. All in all 1 Exec, 1 AM, 3 to 4 HODs, 5 or 6 technicians. It was good to have access at all levels.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We are currently in the first days of releasing the project with high global interest.

Management style was great. Important for us was face to face, regular and asap. We used zoom, teams and whatsapp. Everything was documented and shared on email, dropbox or google docs. We worked in time zones on opposite sides of the world without a problem.

What impressed us was the level of communication made available and the dedication to customer satisfaction.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There is always room for improvement on both sides of the project. We look forward to a bigger and better things in phase 2 of Moana Pasifika.

Auxauno Global Services took the client's existing WordPress and WooCommerce website and made some modifications with the home page plugins. They also modified the website’s code on the backend of WordPress, but they didn’t interact with our servers at all.

I did a Google search, and we sent our RFPs to 5–7 companies.

The website is faster. Our goal was eight seconds, and we reached around 12 seconds in December.

How did Auxano Global Services perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication was excellent — they explained everything that they did and were efficient. We communicated through WhatsApp, email, and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Auxano Global Services worked well for us. They were professional and friendly. The developer went out of his way to explain to me what he did and what could be improved in the future. It was a good experience.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Our optimal goal was eight seconds. It would have been good to reach that goal but we can’t blame them. We had a small budget.

Whether it’s with Auxano or another company, specify your metrics and then get an offer. Let them know the speed you want to reach.

We had hired another company for our technical services, but they weren’t able to meet our needs. My website had a few glitches and bugs. It wasn’t operating in an efficient manner, so we needed to partner with another company to help.

I hired them to redevelop my existing website and fixed all of the bugs. They helped us with the third-party payment integration and created the site using WordPress. They designed the website in the first phase before developing it. They did it all within one month’s time and continue to handle all of our support and maintenance services.

My experience with them has been very good. They helped us fix all of the errors and developed the new site in an efficient manner. It was a smooth ride. We were able to reach our goal of expanding our business globally.

We were very clear about our requirements, and everything was documented properly. They have weekly video meetings with us, including the sales head in the entire process. It’s been very nice. We haven’t had any issues.

We hired Auxano Global Services to build a native iOS and Android app and a web app for our client. Additionally, we collaborated with them to develop a game under the same category, for the same platform.

We kicked off the engagement through a debriefing session and proceeded with the wireframing and prototyping stages. Auxano took over most of the discovery and research aspects of the project, working according to the guidelines that we set.

My project management team scoped out a few development agencies from different nearby areas. Auxano Global Services stood out to us because of their promising portfolio, which was packed with high-quality deliverables. They were also highly communicative during our initial meetings, so hiring them was definitely an easy decision to make.

The initial scope was around $550,000 AUD (approximately $426,000 USD). Our client requested additional modifications, so it went up to $650,000–$700,000 AUD (approximately $503,000–$542,000 USD).

The project ran from August 2020–April 2021. We're now doing post-completion work to maintain the quality of the product.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Communication was our main partnership metric, and Auxano Global Services was on top of everything. We’ve worked with a lot of companies in the past, but everything about Auxano Global Services' delivery was seamlessly outstanding. They foresaw any issues that could hinder the development of our project and addressed those right away.

Overall, their work received positive feedback from our internal team and our client's team, who were highly impressed with the end product. 

How did Auxano Global Services perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly communicated via Zoom, while urgent matters were discussed through WhatsApp and Microsoft Teams. As I mentioned, Auxano Global Services was on top of the communication game. Working on a lean and agile basis, their team quickly applied changes and listened to our client's needs. We didn't find the need to check on their progress as they always delivered results swiftly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What mattered most to us was the fact that we were able to rely on their team throughout the project. We weren’t after the most mature offshore company, but one that exceeded expectations in building trust and reliance — this was exactly what we got from our engagement with Auxano Global Services.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They delivered satisfying results, so I think there were no areas that needed improvement.

Set your expectations before starting the project — there are a lot of things that can go right or wrong throughout the engagement. If the expectations are set correctly before the project starts, their flexible team will have the full opportunity to deliver exactly what you need.

I’m the founder and owner of Project Delivery, which owns an application and website called Shopzz.com.

What challenge were you trying to address with Auxano Global Services?

I had a business selling novelty items on Instagram, and I used to receive orders through WhatsApp. Because the business was growing, I’d sometimes receive 40 or more orders a day. I couldn’t keep up with that on WhatsApp, so the idea was to create a website and application where I would receive those orders. 

Customers were asking about details and availability, and I wanted to address that through a website and application. I can fulfill more than 100 orders a day, but I can’t answer 300–400 customers on WhatsApp.

I started this business from ground zero because I didn’t want it to be connected to my previous business. I wanted it to be an individual website and application. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They worked on the website first and started on the iOS and Android application after 3–4 months when the website was completed. I gave them the idea and the pages I wanted on the site, such as the “About Us” page. Auxano Global Services then gave me some suggestions which they integrated with my vision to come up with the layout of the website.

The website was a sort of test for the team. I wanted to see how things would go and how we’d communicate because I didn’t want to invest directly in the application. After the website was done, they went ahead and developed the application.

I usually work with Aakash (Operational Head), along with about 12 other teammates who I communicate with. 

How did you come to work with Auxano Global Services?

I checked out different service providers on Clutch, but most of them gave me a very high price. After filtering the by price, I looked at other vendors and their work. I don’t have a lot of experience with development, so I judged them based on the apps and websites they’d made, to see if any were similar to the idea that I had for my project. 

I ended up with two, including Auxano Global Services, and I chose them because they gave me the best price and they promised me some aftersales services. I don’t have a tech background, so I couldn’t ask them details about what languages they were using and so on. Instead, I asked most of the candidates to send me previous work. 

The websites and apps made by Auxano Global Services weren’t that similar to what I wanted, but I liked their smoothness and functionalities. I chose them based on their price and previous work, and they had a really good portfolio compared to the other companies. I was looking for software that didn’t have glitches or slow loading times, and their work fit that requirement.

How much have you invested with them?

The website cost around $11,000 and the application around $15,000. Over the past year, I’ve also spent about $3,000 for maintenance, changes, hosting, and other services.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with Auxano Global Services in November 2017, and I’m still working with them for maintenance. We started working on the mobile app in April 2018 and it was ready in October of that year.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

After I started marketing, I was able to attract product reviews and receive more orders. It was a good idea to start a website. In the beginning, I didn’t want to invest a lot in the website because I wanted to build the app and launch both at once. 

In Kuwait, the trend is toward apps, and very few people use websites. Although we had a good amount of sales at first, they weren’t significant because we didn’t do any marketing. We were also still waiting for the application.

How did Auxano Global Services perform from a project management standpoint?

I talk to Aakash about any general ideas I come up with and, we also have a group on Skype. There are designated teammates who answer my questions about the website, the app, or digital marketing.

Official communication, such as quotes and change requests, is done through email, and we also use WhatsApp. I’m comfortable with the tools, and we often share screens to see the progress of the project. I sometimes give them notes about what I want to adjust before launching a service or implementing a change request.

I’m not part of a large company and I don’t have a lot of resources, so I just talk to them in a friendly way about the work that I want. Talking to them directly about the changes I want to make is much more time-efficient than, say, using Excel. They then send me an email with my request, and I approve it. This process is easier for me. I like the way they communicate. It’s professional but also friendly — exactly what I wanted.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I am most impressed by the quality of Auxano Global Services' work. I’m not tech-savvy, so this is what I judge them on.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I have no suggestions. I’ve talked to friends about their experience with other development companies, and I’m glad I chose Auxano Global Services.

It’s important to have a clear idea and to spend some time growing it. You can’t make everything at once; you have to choose what’s important and what direction you're going.

Taking into account factors such as availability due to varying time zones, level of experience, price, and knowledge, we reviewed nearly 30 teams, and decided on a team that will remain unnamed. The lack of availability, lack of professionalism, lack of commitment, and eventually going off contract, were just a few reasons we terminated our contract with this team. Heading back to the teams we narrowed our search down to, we decided to contact AGS. They demonstrated the kind of flexibility, work ethic, passion, and drive that I look for in my own team.

How did you select this vendor?

We considered around seven companies, evaluating their proposals against different criteria (company portfolio, client references, cost and quality of services) and Auxano Global Services made the final cut.

The mobile app revolves around collecting data in the field and generating reports. Users fill out forms on Android tablets and upload photos and videos they’ve taken. Projects will then be automatically uploaded to the web platform, where users can modify and download the reports.

There were 3–4 people involved in emails and conference calls. In total, around 10 people were involved in the project from the vendor's side.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The project has created an efficient process for us. Additionally, it’s encouraged innovation and provided an effective form of communication.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

It was good for the most part. There were a few change requests along the way that caused delays, however.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Despite the time difference, people at Auxano always responded to emails promptly.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There were miscommunications on a few occasions where certain comments were left unaddressed.

I am a consultant in the sports industry.

To support teachers and sport coaches, I wanted to develop a custom video player for Windows and Mac along with many customizations in my web application. Also, I needed a mobile app for both iOS and Android.

What were your goals for this project?

The apps had to be functional in Wi-Fi and non-Wi-Fi settings for all coaches. In addition, the apps had to integrate with my website’s specialist app and license management system.

How did you select this vendor?

I wanted a creative partner that wouldn’t simply copy the old, tired system but would deliver a modern, robust project. Auxano shouldered a major responsibility in this respect, and I appreciated their technical creativity.

The apps and website I needed were in a bad state originally; they needed a fresh look and modern functionality. I presented an outline of the apps’ functions and aesthetic and explained how they related to the part of the website that allows video-license administrators to manage their licenses.

First, Auxano spent time gathering all the required data for my project. The original models and functions were unsatisfactory, so Auxano created a working model through their research. They completely redefined and restructured the project to make my platform effective.

Next, they started development and reacted positively and quickly to achieve my goals. My technical demands were considerable, and they accommodated the changes with ease and accuracy. Their ability to communicate clearly helped the project progress.

The team was extensive but very well-coordinated. Android developers, iOS developers, and a web developer were all associated with the team. I managed to speak with all of them during the project. Their quality control and business analysis were both meaningful and impressive.

Without a doubt, the team’s work ethic and leadership facilitated worthwhile outcomes. From a technical viewpoint, I have four new apps and an effective website. I was impressed by their ability to keep everything moving forward. My lack of technical expertise meant that I needed a sensible and effective management plan. Without this component, I am afraid that my requests for changes might have derailed the project.
