The scope was extensive. Automat Studio delivered two distinct visual ecosystems:

 1) The “Prevention Package” (Adults/Adolescents): A complete visual identity using sophisticated photo-collage art direction. Deliverables included a comprehensive textbook for peer educators, educational board games (box, board, and cards—incl. Trafedo), posters, and supporting promotional materials.

2) “Miša & Maša” (Children): A child-friendly prevention system featuring character design, a comic-style large-format poster, coloring books, puzzles, a storybook, and the “1, 2, 3 From Home to School” board game. Every asset was modular, allowing for easier translation and adaptation across different formats and media.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Reached 350,000+ people via peer education (as of Jul 2017) and localized into 7+ languages. The design delivered high-precision clarity for children, teens, and high-risk adults—across cultures and contexts.

A psychologically engineered education framework—metaphor + gamification—making a sensitive topic accessible without sensationalism. Materials were immediately usable in the field and built for repeatable nationwide rollout.

14+ years in active use with zero redesign—rare proof of ROI and timeless, world-class craft. Automat Studio turned institutional content into a prevention system that still sets the national benchmark.

Automat Studio has the ability to translate "invisible" social problems into a powerful visual language. They didn't just design books; they designed a psychological framework for education. The fact that their work from 14 years ago still looks modern and is being used across Europe and wider today is a proof of their exceptional craft. We’re most impressed by their ability to move between very different contexts – corporate, municipal, cultural, hospitality – while keeping each project visually coherent and appropriate for its audience. They care about details, from typography to print specs, and at the same time bring strong creative ideas that make the work stand out. We also value that we always work directly with Milan as the principal designer, rather than being passed to juniors, so the quality and accountability are always consistent.

The only thing we sometimes wish for is even more of their time, because we tend to send many different requests at once. Overall, we’re very satisfied with the collaboration.

The second was a dedicated educational web project built around a complex traditional subject. We did not want a standard reference site, but an experience that would make the topic more approachable, especially for younger audiences, while remaining serious and respectful. What Automat Studio did especially well was recognizing that these projects required different design approaches. They brought clarity and hierarchy to one, and atmosphere and interpretation to the other, while maintaining a consistently high standard across both.
