We also value that we always work directly with Milan as the principal designer, rather than being passed to juniors, so the quality and accountability are always consistent.

The only thing we sometimes wish for is even more of their time, because we tend to send many different requests at once. Overall, we’re very satisfied with the collaboration.

One was our main institutional website, which needed to serve as a clear, dependable public platform for a large volume of editorial and informational content. The challenge was not just visual design, but structuring complex material so it felt readable, organized, and sustainable over time. The second was a dedicated educational web project built around a complex traditional subject. We did not want a standard reference site, but an experience that would make the topic more approachable, especially for younger audiences, while remaining serious and respectful. What Automat Studio did especially well was recognizing that these projects required different design approaches. They brought clarity and hierarchy to one, and atmosphere and interpretation to the other, while maintaining a consistently high standard across both.

What stood out most was their ability to work convincingly in two very different modes. One project required order, hierarchy, and editorial discipline. The other required atmosphere, interpretation, and a more inviting entry point into a complex subject. Very few studios can do both equally well. They also approached design as a tool for clarity and access, not just appearance. In the educational project especially, their work helped make the material feel more open, engaging, and easier to connect with for people who were not already familiar with it.

Nothing significant comes to mind. This was thoughtful, high-quality work delivered with a strong sense of responsibility.
