BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the operations executive for a Venture Capital company. I oversee all aspects of the companies operations.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Augusto Digital, and what were your goals?

We had an existing website which did not reflect our true values and mission as an organization. The site flow did not lend itself for visitors to gain knowledge of our company nor did it allow NCTF to create a proper marketing vehicle. We needed a new site which reflected our mission and business affiliates.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We sent out an RFP for the work to the existing website development company, Augusto and one other company. Augusto's proposal gave us the best flexibility, pricing, and timing to bring up a new site.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Augusto held kickoff meeting to review the method and timeline for the project with the stakeholders. They used story boards and short sprints to keep the migration and enhancements on schedule. At the end of each sprint, a playback was conducted with the stakeholders to ensure the development was consistent with their vision. Any new ideas were logged to the backlog, positive tradeoffs were made, and current scope item could be easily tweak. This ensured a quality product and a site we can easily maintain -- low code! The key tools used are Jira and Craft CMS.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The project manager and development executive were our main contacts for this project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Once the site was launched we have received an increase in traffic up ~50% over last year and have been able to add a new channel for business development with no coding needed which increased our pipeline by 20%. We have received an increase in interest based on the amount of emails coming from our contact us page.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The project manager had weekly updates calls with me and weekly status reports. Jira was used to help with communications and the development team used slack internally.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The upfront approach to managing solutions to problems (very knowledgeable), the discussions on scope trade offs, and ability to deliver a quality product on time and in budget!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We had no bugs at launch or anytime after launch. They were fantastic to work with.
