• Build our wordpress-based website
• Maintain the website and facilitate design and content updates on an ongoing basis
• Provide general support and respond to troubleshooting requests about the site.

The engagement with Atomic glue was started before I joined the company.

Why did you select Atomic Glue over others?

I did not select them, but I did decide to retain them based on our excellent working relationship.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

This has been a broad, long engagement wherein Atomic Glue provided weekly and frequently daily support in maintaining and building out the website. The range of responsibilities included: building page components based on provided designs, making technological recommendations to improve the website implementation, actively managing some content on the site, responding to troubleshooting and content change requests from stakeholder throughout the company, building web applications that we embedded into the site, facilitating technical partnerships with 3rd party services that we employ on the site, managing security and patch updates to our WordPress instance, and helping to educate us about industry changes and best-practices. We would meet with Atomic Glue at least weekly, and maintained an open slack channel to facilitate rapid responses.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We maintained the website in good working order with no meaningful downtime for more than three years. Atomic Glue also facilitated numerous design updates that affected all pages of the site and site navigation. Atomic Glue executed on every request that we made to them in a timely manner and with clear communication. During this period the site experienced meaningful increases in traffic and other key metrics.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Atomic Glue always delivered. Communication was always clear and prompt. Every team member I’ve interacted with has been a pleasure to collaborate with and they really do feel like allies with a shared goal.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I appreciate the trusted relationship we’ve built over several years. I like working with the team, and I trust their expertise.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Atomic Glue could have done differently?

I wish they had been able to support us on the new website platform that we are migrating to. As a growing organization, we are always looking to move faster on projects. Atomic Glue has been able to surge resources for us to accommodate unusually fast schedules. I’m not aware of how we could have moved faster without bringing web development resources in-house, but perhaps there are opportunities there.
