ARSNL developed a marketing plan for Fluid Marine and then executed a brand strategy and web design. For the brand strategy, ARSNL interviewed our leadership, sales team and customers and developed insights that helped us position and differentiate from other rigid inflatable (RIBs) brands. In the end, they delivered a brand hierarchy with positioning, tone of voice, a more focused positioning and stronger ‘reasons to believe’.

ARSNL then applied the new branding to development of a new website with a new look and feel, content, copy and conversion options. 

ARSNL continues to work with us on SEO and marketing.

Our sales team and partners have been very energized by the new website and how much sharper it is than the other sites in our category. We also feel very confident that the branding changes will help us stand out from other RIB competitors.

ARSNL served as the Agency of Record (AOR) for Smokey Bones, providing marketing services to our 58 location casual barbeque concept restaurants located throughout the East and Midwest. ARSNL’s scope included marketing strategy, media buying & planning, advertising campaign development, social media and influencer marketing and website management. 

ARSNL’s team worked with us to define and manage the retail promotional calendar, develop and execute campaigns, deliver messaging across paid digital and traditional media, and measure results and business impact.

ARSNL relentlessly improved media performance by expanding the Smokey Bones media footprint and testing new channels and tactics. We experienced increases in year-over-year online orders and an increase in overall restaurant sales on the back of impactful promotions and strong, rapid partner agency execution. In many periods, we bucked the industry trend and comp’d positive.

We’re a global company, so we put together a team of executives from each office to meet with ARSENL virtually. During the meeting, we answered a list of questions that the ARSENL team prepared and used them as a guide to facilitate productive discussions. The team encouraged us to think about who we were and who we wanted to become as a brand. 

Then, they designed a new logo, color scheme, and brand guidelines. They also created standard visuals for our email signatures and helped with names. We plan to continue working together as we’re currently reviewing their proposal for a new website and social media management services.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

ARSENL conducted an extensive interview process with great questions. It’s clear they listened to our needs because they’ve delivered exactly what we asked for. The final product is outstanding, and they’ve exceeded our expectations.

Although we don’t have concrete business development metrics, our internal team is pleased with their efforts to standardize our messaging. For example, they created a unified email signature for our employees to use, which has enabled us to present a clear and consistent message to the market.

How did ARSENL perform from a project management standpoint?

ARSENL does everything we ask and more, and we enjoy working with them. They’re very efficient and communicative, which has enabled us to build a positive working relationship. Additionally, they deliver work on time, and we’re usually to blame for any delays. They typically provide us with a detailed project scope and schedule, which we don’t tend to follow. 

We used Zoom for our initial discussions with our executive team, but we typically meet in person and communicate via phone and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We take a long time to make decisions, and we’re not the easiest client to put up with, so I’ve appreciated ARSENL’s patience and understanding. Even though we’re one of their smaller accounts, they seem genuinely interested in working with us and helping us reach our goals. We’re working on being a better client for them, which indicates how much we appreciate their support. 

I’m also impressed with their creativity and artistic talent.

After back and forth discussions, we came up with a solid contract that we had to approve, and consequently, we started with the process.

Thanks to their work, we’ve increased our engagement and followers in our Instagram profile. Their efforts have also been exactly on brand and what they said it would be — they’ve taken our vision and brought it to life. Overall, they’re a consistent, top-notch agency — they’re everything I hoped they would’ve been.

Communication has been great, and they’ve been flexible with our vision and how we want things done. They’re also amenable and ensure to have calls with use before starting a big project to guarantee that everything’s understood. In addition, they always stay on budget and meet deadlines. For communication, we use email and Zoom and share assets via Google Drive.

We would have a biweekly call with the team to discuss metrics of the campaign for the specific time period as well as make any changes to the ad or creative as we saw fit.

The amount of communication typically we would only receive monthly progress reports from other agency's. They were communicative and open to any new ideas we might have wanted to incorporate mid-campaign.

Our small team is not the best with designing creative they did help but we thought it could have been a bit better
