We had a small budget to create a new video explaining our value proposition with our recently revised brand.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I reached out to my network and Google to find a handful of companies that could provide the service we needed to achieve our objective. I then created a short list, meet with the agencies and asked for a portfolio with proposals.

Working with the Ark crown team was easy from the beginning. They made me confident they could get the project done within budget.

We had a initial discovery meeting, which was followed up with a proposal. Scripting was handled by us but they provided their expertise to make the script more succinct and flow better with the video itself. There were two rounds of revisions and onto the final.

I worked with Vanessa and Dan directly. They were excellent. Even when we went in for an additional change to script, that was outside of scope, they rolled with it. The software they use to gather feedback was incredibly easy to use and helpful.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The entire project was a success, we are extremely happy with the outcome, the process was simple and straightforward and perhaps most importantly on budget.

They communicate promptly, simply and use the appropriate channels and methods to communicate and gather feedback. I can’t say enough positive things about working with Arc + Crown Media.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Even though our budget was small, they treated the project as though it was an important project for them. We also had a lot of time to complete this project, but didn’t saw them down and they delivered it earlier than expected

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I would not suggest any room for improvement. They are well oiled team, experts in their field and extremely easy to work with.

I’m the head of marketing for Engage People Inc., a technology company that services the loyalty sector. We’re based in Ontario.

What challenge were you trying to address with Arc + Crown Media?

We engaged with Arc + Crown Media to provide full video production services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The Arc + Crown Media team is in charge of scriptwriting, filming, audio mixing, and editing. They bring their own equipment to all of our shooting schedules.

We’ve worked with them on a number of occasions, primarily to provide a visual representation of some of our marketing initiatives such as our product portfolio and organizational culture. They’ve also done a couple of things for us, including creating animated videos, producing product videos, and editing some interview work that we’ve done with third parties.

Most of the videos are done on-site, which is ultimately reflective of the organization. The videos mostly feature employees in our company, but occasionally, we’ve hired actors for our projects.

What is the team composition?

We’ve had different engagements, but we’ve probably worked with 6–10 people at a time. Their project manager is our main point of contact.

Our ongoing partnership began in November 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The team’s video work has been utilized by our company in various formats and posted on several platforms, whether through social media, website, or other means. For social media, we post it on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. They’ve also been able to increase our engagement on social media platforms. 

On top of that, we’ve been able to use their videos as an introduction for some of our clients, and the feedback we’ve received from people has been very positive. Overall, they’ve exceeded our expectations.

How did Arc + Crown Media perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very proactive, especially in conversations concerning the project’s budget. We have regular phone calls and emails with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Arc + Crown Media has been a great asset because they’ve been able to provide great recommendations to us. Their personal touch and commitment to delivering what we ask from them have been impressive. Their cost is in line with the value they provide, too.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be proactive with them, especially in sharing your long-term goals. Additionally, be transparent with your budget. Providing them with a clear outline of what you want will give them the opportunity to work and plan towards your goal.

I was the Head of Learning Strategy at a learning and development company with a focus on high-end training for customer service.

We shot a series of soft skill based training videos for a major Canadian bank. Our goal was to feature fully life-like situations between customers and bank reps that display best practice skills.

Arc + Crown came highly recommended. From the first contact we knew that Vanessa and team would be a highly trustworthy and skilled partner. Their portfolio was excellent, their personal engagement was excellent, and their costing was clear and fair.

The first project return excellent videos that had our client incredibly happy. When we engaged Arc + Crown for a second project with the same client, we worked closely to evolve and enhance all parts of the project and realized an even better end result the second time. The client was truly delighted, as were the end learners.

I had seen Arc & Crowns work online and in particular how they demonstrated the effectiveness of Do It Yourself Videos. After initial consultation, made the decision to move forward.

The course provided by the company provided detail instructions on what are the right tools, how to use them effectively and also guidance on content strategy. They basically execute the entire production process themselves, but they also help us in terms of scriptwriting and personal recordings.

The videos that Arc + Crown Media delivers have been predominantly featured on our YouTube channel. The content posted on there is good for people who’re looking to know more about us. 

Additionally, the videos have helped increase our brand recognition, and positively contribute to our image.

How did Arc + Crown perform from a project management standpoint?

Working with them is incredibly easy because they understand what our needs are without us having to go into too much detail.

We trust them to accomplish any adjustments quickly and whenever we need a video produced, it would be done on the same day or the next.

I’m the sergeant of a law enforcement organization and I’m in charge of our mobile crisis intervention teams.

What challenge were you trying to address with Arc + Crown Media?

We used to have an in-person two-week mobile crisis intervention training program for officers and nurses but because of the pandemic, we needed to find a way to provide our training while abiding by the restrictions set by the public sectors.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Arc + Crown Media helped migrate our training program into a virtual hybrid environment where the students would be at the college, while guest presenters and lecturers would conduct their courses virtually.

They conducted our virtual training program through Zoom and provided us with technical support during the live sessions. Apart from that, they transcribed all the content on the videos so we can access them and store them in our library.

Our program manager found Arc + Crown Media through a LinkedIn search. We then put out our project proposal to at least three vendors and chose their team due to their success in the tender process.

We worked together from December 2020–June 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of their work was phenomenal and their hosting abilities were fantastic. They kept everything on a tight schedule, which was essential when managing around 40 people.

Furthermore, our participants found the whole program to be well-organized, professional, and realistic.

How did Arc + Crown Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Arc + Crown Media was great from a project management standpoint. They successfully scheduled and conducted four training sessions for all our 30 presenters.

We were very impressed with their flexibility, adaptability, and professionalism.

I'm the marketing manager for a local nonprofit that serves the homeless population in Toronto and provides volunteer opportunities for people looking to help.

For what projects/services did your company hire Arc + Crown Media, and what were your goals?

Our annual signature fundraising and volunteer event has always been the single largest source of individual fundraising dollars for our organization. We've trusted the video promotion and post-event video with Arc + Crown for three years in a row as it can be difficult to explain the premise of the event's activities and show the impact participants have on the homeless population, especially when the event had to go virtual two years ago because of COVID-19. Videos were the quickest, most effective way to convey the event to people in a way that was compelling.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was not the person on our team who found Arc + Crown for our project.

The promotional videos were all 30-45 seconds and the post-event videos were 90-120 seconds. We started with a discovery meeting to discuss the vision for each piece and the logistics that needed to be considered in order to capture the right content to make it happen. I worked with A+C's team to draft a brief script and shot list and book the videographer. Once all the content was finalized, they shared a first draft of each video very quickly, and my team reviewed and provided small edits needed. We did this for 2-3 rounds of revision before we had a final product we were happy with.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with a project manager who was very responsive and open to all our feedback on each revision, even when our feedback wasn't the clearest. The A+C makes the feedback process quick and easy.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We've always received a ton of positive word of mouth feedback on all our videos, from our staff, donors, board directors, and sponsors of the event.

The project manager was responsive, open to feedback, and very helpful. The video drafts are always shared using a link that incorporates a function to leave comments on the video using a time-stamp, which is super helpful. They've upgraded this year and now there are even more features, like the ability to add markups right on the video frame.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They gained a deep understanding of our organization, the population we serve, and the brand voice we want. They're always incredibly easy to work with, provide fast turnaround times, and produce videos that are spot on for what we need.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I genuinely cannot think of any areas for improvement. Our team has thrown some tough asks at A+C and they've never failed to deliver.
