What challenge were you trying to address with Arab Calibers for Consulting Services?

We needed a company that could provide us with outsourced resources and technical training, so we tapped Arab Calibers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Arab Calibers provided outsourced resources including business intelligence specialists, system administrators, content management specialists, and technical operators.

They provided us with at least 3 CVs for each position. We interviewed the candidates and had them undergo a three-month trial period once they were accepted. When a particular resource didn’t meet our needs, we asked Arab Calibers to source a replacement. 

Their team also provided technical training for the resources. We required the trainer to be IBM-certified since most of the courses would come from IBM. We agreed that the training session be conducted twice a day — once in the morning and again in the evening — so that the candidates could choose the schedule most suitable for them.

There were 45 training sessions about security, storage, installation, configuration, operating systems, databases, and monitoring, all of which Arab Calibers provided.

What is the team composition?

They provided 11 resources and I had one main point of contact.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent 4.8 million Saudi riyals (approximately $1.3 million USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from September 2019–August 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Arab Calibers met my expectation and requirements. They were able to provide IBM-certified resources and find resources that matched what we needed 85%–90% of the time. The three-month trial period also allowed us to evaluate the candidates and request replacements when needed. 

How did Arab Calibers for Consulting Services perform from a project management standpoint?

After I send them the description, they were able to send back at least 2 CVs within 5–10 working days. Most of our communication was done through email, and they would wait on my feedback after 10 days of evaluating the fit of a CV.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their pricing sets them apart from other agencies. They were quick to respond even on the weekends.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s always room for improvement, but I don't have any complaints. They were good.

Get quotes from different companies so that you can measure the difference.
