The biggest advantage we received from Apples & Oranges was a launch plan for our grand opening that included a free ticketing concept, where customers were able to snag a free ticket and save a spot in line for the GO.  It resulted in nearly 1300 RSVPs and a vast majority of them mentioned the free ticketing process as a reason.

They also helped us establish our digital presence on social media and the website, developing both pages and running admin over them.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Social media presence dramatically increased.  Web site was completed.  Started a successful Founder's Day to honor the first major investors into our brand.  A Grand Opening that brought hundreds  into the store.

I was terrible about keeping up on emails, so I often would miss those notes from A&O.  They did their best, but could have been more firm with me so I would meet deadlines.  But it's okay overall.

We didnt know much about the marketing process and A&O's team helped us by making a new updated website, SEO and this helped fix our initial obsticle. They have set out a clear agenda and helped us understand the process while taking time to explain the data and progress.

Increased website traffic and sales and a faster and more functional website with great user friendly design. Helping us implement better POS software and supporting and informing us through many decisions with this process. They have provided an ongoing supportive team for us to trust with our online presence.

The team has mostly met deadlines and has been quick and professional to respond to feedback. We at times feel that we do some of the lead with the creative aspect of the ads but we also have a clear vision of what we want for the outcome. We have been a little unsure of what expectations our role has been and how much we are to be contributing to this. They have been able to work with well our direction and deliver.

We think you have already improved on this since we started working together but mainly we have felt like we have put a fair amount of time into some of the projests on our end and I dont think that was clear from the beginning. Perhaps heling us understand our time comittments from the begining would have helped our manager with this process.

Michael and his team are always happy to adjust to your needs and present comprehensive plans to get you to your goals. Personal attention and service were an important piece for us when bringing on a marketing partner and Apples and Oranges delivered. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Apples & Oranges Analytics and Marketing could have done differently?

Restaurants and Cafe's have very limited budgets so adding ad spend onto the retainer can be difficult to maintain. Larger businesses (4 locations or more) could better absorb this cost but for a 2 unit business its difficult to maintain. 

Building out a basic support plan with ad spend for a lower fee would help support business in this catagory but perhaps its not a good long term strategy for Apples and Oranges, it might make sense to work with larger business or businesses with more locations.
