The developer is responsible for building out the complete architecture and functionality of Firmora, a SaaS platform designed to operate as the unified operating system for accounting firms. This includes developing and integrating core modules such as the CRM, billing and proposal system with e-sign, workflow and SOP management, task and document management, and the AI-powered firm guidance and tax planning modules. The developer will ensure seamless integration with QuickBooks, Xero, and ADP systems, as well as implement role-based permissions, secure user authentication, and IRS-compliant data handling. Additional work includes building the client-facing portal with messaging, project visibility, and KPI dashboards, plus internal firm health analytics combining engagement, capacity, and profitability data. The developer will also create a scalable infrastructure to support multi-firm deployment, deliver responsive UI/UX design consistent with Firmora’s brand identity, and provide full documentation for setup, API connections, and maintenance procedures. Key Deliverables: Fully functional Firmora MVP with all core firm management modules.API integrations with QuickBooks, Xero, and ADP.AI-driven SOP/workflow and tax planning systems.Client portal with live project tracking, secure messaging, and e-sign.Firm health and KPI dashboard.Role-based access, audit logs, and data encryption.Complete technical documentation and deployment guide.

-System Integration Performance: Verified real-time data sync and successful API connections with QuickBooks, Xero, and ADP, tested on a minimum of 10 live client records per integration.
AI Workflow Functionality: Deployment of the AI-powered workflow and tax planning assistant, capable of interpreting user input and generating at least five actionable recommendations per client file (e.g., task automation prompts, tax insights, SOP suggestions).
-Operational Efficiency Gains: Internal firm testing demonstrates at least a 30% reduction in time spent on client management and workflow coordination compared to the previous tech stack (measured using time-tracking logs).

Tasks are tracked through a shared project management system to provide full visibility into progress, blockers, and dependencies.

A lead developer oversees technical architecture and code quality, while a project manager or product owner (on behalf of Firmora) coordinates priorities, defines feature requirements, and ensures alignment between business goals and development output. Regular stand-up meetings (at least weekly) maintain momentum and resolve issues quickly, while milestone reviews occur at the end of each development phase to assess feature readiness and confirm deployment schedules.

All code undergoes version control via GitHub with documented commits, peer reviews, and testing prior to merging into the production branch. What I find most impressive and unique about the Apophis development team is their deep technical expertise and proven experience building robust, scalable SaaS applications. They brought a strong architectural foundation and a disciplined approach to system design, ensuring that every component of Firmora could scale securely and perform reliably across multiple firms and integrations. While I provided the strategic vision and accounting-industry insight, they excelled at translating that direction into a high-performing platform with modern frameworks, clean code practices, and an emphasis on user experience and long-term maintainability. Their ability to balance technical complexity with practical usability—especially in areas like API integrations, data security, and AI implementation—was what truly set them apart.
