Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m an individual entrepreneur and the founder of the startup dsk.ua. It’s a bulletin board and a business directory with complex functionality.

For what projects/services did your company hire Antalogic, and what were your goals?

I had an existing project - It has been developed by several IT companies with whom I worked before, but I wasn’t satisfied with the quality of the code and with their work speed. I wanted to change the performers and find a company who can provide me a development team or a full-stack developer to continue working on my project and fix the issues it had.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I posted a job on a popular job marketplace, received their proposal and scheduled a call with the business manager. After we discussed all the important questions, I was highly impressed with their approach to work and we’ve started working almost immediately.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

First of all, we have discussed the current status of the project, my needs and my budget with Antalogic. Then we’ve come to the conclusion that I need a skilled full-stack developer who can work and communicate with me directly. Antalogic has provided an excellent PHP developer who was very involved and interested in the project. From the very beginning I was happy to communicate with the developer and the other Antalogic’s company members and also, unlike previous developers, I was highly impressed with the speed of the development process. The company has always supported me not only with the development, but also with the advice on how to help my business grow. The following technologies were used in the project: PHP, JavaScript, SCSS, Laravel, Composer.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The team had one Full Stack Laravel developer who was responsible for the front-end and back-end. He is a skilled software developer with a wealth of knowledge and deep understanding of programming.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The company helped to make a global update of the admin panel, update the old version of Laravel version to the current one, and edit the existing code. Now my project is completely redesigned and I’m highly satisfied with how it looks like. Also, I’ve already started to get profit from my project.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The work on the project was carried out according to the Agile methodology. Tasks were set in Trello, frequent meetings were organized with the developer in order to discuss the progress and the current tasks. Our communication was great. In terms of deadlines, Antalogic meets them.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Antalogic seems to genuinely care about the success of my business. They proactively reach out to me each week to make sure they're meeting my expectations and aren't missing anything. They’re still providing high-quality technical services according to our needs.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think that they have high-quality developers in their team and their hourly rates are fair. I’m satisfied with everything.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-owner and founder of Shipcosts. We’re a region-based company supported by a government organization.

What challenge were you trying to address with Antalogic?

We brought them on for web and mobile app development services. We wanted to optimize the travel management process for the marine and offshore crew who fly to and from their ships and oil rigs. We wanted to streamline the process of arranging the crew change.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built a web application and mobile apps, both for iOS and Android. The solution connects office travel, crew port agents, and everyone else involved in the process of organizing the crew change.

Additionally, it’s provided the duty of care for the crew so they’re always connected and companies know where the people are. This would allow them to get help and make communication easier. Their team built the mobile app solutions in Swift and Kotlin.

What is the team composition?

We worked with one project manager and three developers.

How did you come to work with Antalogic?

They were introduced to me by another company.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested about $26,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement ran from June 2019–March 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I was impressed with their communication. Not only did they answer my questions, but they were proactive in solving problems instead of just following what was written in the technical specs. I was happy with them and would recommend working with them. Our team is happy with the quality of the service provided.

How did Antalogic perform from a project management standpoint?

The project was managed to good standards. They followed the timeline and met deadlines. They were always available for discussion and came up with good ideas.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their project management and how the process was organized impressed me the most. Even though all the developers were great, our project manager was a highlight. This is their strong suit.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there isn’t anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s important to set goals, KPIs, and explain your business objectives so Antalogic understands. This will make the collaboration easier, not only from the development part but the project management as well.

We operate in the management software industry and we focus on the NetSuite ERP. I’ve worked in this area for 10 years and I’m launching a new startup.

What challenge were you trying to address with Antalogic?

I’m developing a marketplace for the NetSuite ecosystem and I decided to outsource the project to Antalogic.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Based on my functional and technical requirements, Antalogic is developing my marketplace from scratch. The backend is the main component of my project.

There are several information fields that users can interact with and its main goal is to allow NetSuite developers to manage different applications and projects on the technical side. Additionally, it can also possibly allow the developers to publish those on the marketplace.

What is the team composition?

Initially, I communicated with their account manager. After that, Antalogic provided two developers and one project manager to finish the project. 

How did you come to work with Antalogic?

I used Clutch as a reference and looked at several development companies. I evaluated five in total, including Antalogic. I discussed several aspects with them, including their approach and pricing. Antalogic gave me the best feeling because they were the only company willing to invest more time and effort to go into detail about my requirements. 

They made me understand what their approach would be and what steps they’d take. Their team also had a deep understanding of what I wanted to implement. I also develop software for other companies and I don’t normally go into such detail. Even though Antalogic had the highest quotation out of the five firms I looked at, I still decided to engage with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about €40,000 (approximately $46,000 USD) so far. 

What is the status of this engagement?

I had the initial contact with Antalogic around April 2020 and we kicked off the project in June.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I haven’t launched the software yet so I can’t speak yet about results in terms of sales but the experience with Antalogic is really good. They’re very good at doing the work I commissioned them for. Moreover, they’re flexible when it comes to payments. This is a startup project so the cash flow isn’t good sometimes.

How did Antalogic perform from a project management standpoint?

When it comes to their project management, Antalogic is very transparent. They keep me updated at all times and so far, I haven’t had any issues with timelines. We also have regular calls to discuss their progress.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We like Antalogic’s versatility and passion for work. Despite being a small company, they have the right people in place.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I can mention at the moment when it comes to areas they could improve on.
