I’m a project manager at Significa. We work on digital products, UX/UI design, and front- and backend implementation for these products.

What challenge were you trying to address with Another Collective?

We needed help with branding.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Another Collective did a rebranding for us. They started with an evaluation of our brand’s current status. Then, they gave us some insights as to what could be improved. The first iteration was very analytical of what already existed, and the team made suggestions of where we could go from there based on benchmarking and their expertise. Overall, they made us think about how we wanted to be perceived and how we dealt with design.

After we ensured we were aligned on how to pursue the project, Another Collective presented us with a few options for our brand identity. The final deliverables were the brand book, all the presentations they’d done until then, and all the files we needed to implement the branding.

Additionally, they helped us configure what our social media could look like in the future.

We worked with Ricardo (Strategy & Project Manager) and Bruno (Co-Founder & Art Director).

How did you come to work with Another Collective?

We all worked in the same city, and other people on our team knew them beforehand. We went for lunch and talked about where we wanted to go; Another Collective seemed to be in line with what we wanted, so we took it from there. We trusted them because we knew they’d be the right people for the project.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $10,000–$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in February 2022, and the project ended in November 2022. However, we want to keep collaborating with them. They were strong in editorial design; we talked about launching a magazine together, but we haven’t moved forward yet.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re still implementing a couple of things that they delivered. We’re currently building the website based on the branding, so it isn’t live yet. However, the most impactful thing from Another Collective’s work was that they made us think about who we are and how we want to be perceived. They went beyond graphic design and focused on what we needed to deliver accordingly. 

Also, our team gave good feedback, which is the most important part.

How did Another Collective perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was great; it was one of the best parts of collaborating with them. They delivered on time, and the team was always available to talk with us, answer our questions, or iterate a bit further. We had many meetings with them, and they were always quite flexible with experimenting and going back and forth to ensure we got to the final result. Since we worked directly with them and organized our meetings based on our schedules, we didn’t need any other project management tools.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The rationale and point of view behind their work was their most interesting trait. Moreover, the quality of the design was outstanding; their portfolio was pristine and well put together. Nothing looked too crafty, and there was a certain finesse to Another Collective’s products. All in all, the experience was a 360 journey; we started with an idea, and the end product respected every single detail.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have anything to point out; there weren’t any red flags. Their communication was great; even though they spoke Portuguese with each other, their English was good. We never had a problem.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Even if they tell you things you don’t want to hear about your company, trust their expertise. Having a bit of faith in the beginning is crucial to get a good result. In the end, their experience will bring you the best solution.

I’m the sales and marketing manager of Mota-Engil Real Estate Management. We are a construction group with more than 55,000 employees.

We hired Another Collective for their branding and marketing services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Another Collective developed our branding and brand strategy. They carried out many interviews with our stakeholders to get a better understanding of our company. They also worked on our brand name, book, communication strategy, voice, color schemes, font, copy, and other brand elements.

Their team is in charge of commercial marketing. They create all the materials I need to promote the brand. They’ve delivered everything I need and are now delivering the file for the project.

What is the team composition?

Our main point of contact is their contact manager.

How did you come to work with Another Collective?

A friend of mine recommended them to me.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about €27,000 (approximately $29,000 USD) on the project.

What is the status of the engagement?

We started working together in July 2021, and our engagement is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve done a great job, and I am satisfied with their work. The look and feel of the website are good.

How did Another Collective perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management style is great. They’re proactive and always deliver on time. They also constantly do follow-ups on every subject, which helps me comply with the deadlines. We use Microsoft Teams as our project management tool.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with everything they’ve done.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything that Another Collective could improve on.

I’m a co-founder and business development manager at Untile, a design and engineering studio.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenges were you trying to address with Another Collective?

We had the same brand image for 11 years, so we wanted to change our whole brand based on what we’re now doing as a company. We also wanted to change the company’s name so the redesign wouldn’t consider only the visual part. Ultimately, we were aiming to go into the market with the right communications strategy and aligned with the new market sector we were trying to reach.

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, Another Collective did some research to help us establish our values, mission, and brand. Afterward, they created a new image, logo, photography, and all the details we needed to communicate our brand to clients better. They based the creative part on the previous research and helped us find our brand's signature.

Additionally, they were in charge of trade marketing. They checked all the keywords related to our new services and saw if other companies used them.

What was the team composition?

We worked directly with three teammates: a project manager, the head of design, and someone else. However, more people were involved, so we had about 5–6 people working on the project.

How did you come to work with Another Collective?

They had an excellent portfolio and were aligned with what we were looking for. Another Collective was minimalist, but their work had high quality. Moreover, the team was detail-oriented, professional, and trustworthy. Ultimately, the quality of their work and the sense of trust they gave us were essential to us.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent between $10,000–$15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in August 2020, and the whole process took about six months.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

One of the best metrics we can share is that no one remembers our old brand anymore, which was our main goal. Since we had our previous brand for 11 years, we knew it’d be challenging, but we achieved it — even our team was able to make the switch quickly.

Moreover, we had excellent feedback from clients. We’ve received new projects from companies that’d never worked with us because they now see us as a new company. After we launched the brand, people heard about what we were doing, which created new business opportunities for us.

How did Another Collective perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was good. The part that took the longest was the naming; it was difficult for us to choose a new name, so it took longer than originally planned. However, it didn’t have any impact on the budget. After that, they were always on schedule. Moreover, Another Collective made things happen as planned; we had a defined launch date, and everything was on time.

We mainly communicated via email and used Google Drive to share documents. Additionally, they had their own project management tools, so we always knew where we were and what would come next. Overall, they were very organized.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of their work was outstanding; they had a unique signature, so we could always tell when they did it. Another outstanding trait was their honesty. Working on these projects was challenging, but with their honesty and transparency, we could always find solutions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It’s hard to say something in that regard. The budget and schedule were nice, so I don’t have anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give them the right details about what you want. Don’t miss any references or ideas; they can do a great job, but they aren’t magicians.

Please describe your company and your position there.

TONTON, is a small architecture practice, focous on the individual, we make highly personalised projects, usualy residencial. We think of ourselves as house taylors. I'm the owner and creative director.

For what projects/services did your company hire Another Collective?

They design our brand, the only request we had was that it had to be strong enough to stand time, but plastic enough to change colors and organizations, if needed.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They were introduced to me by a mutual friend, and as of the first meeting, I knew they were the correct choise.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

As stated, they were completely free to think of the brand, I had no idea at the time I only knew I didn't wanted to redesign the brand in a few years as a lot of trendy brands do, we have our core business, well defined so should be our brand. As they were free to do what they are really good at, we had a few initial meetings, and a presentation at the end. It may not be the usual process, but it was the approach here, because as a creative myself I didn't wanted to intrude on their process.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I met the whole team, not sure about what each other did on the company.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Progress is hard to describe as our process was a bit unusual, but success is noticeble every time a pull out a business card.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

On the creating process I excluded myself, but later on, every time I needed a new item, a specific alteration based on the presentation I was creating for a client, they were as helpfull as they come, amazing doesn't beging to describe how good the relation was.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We admired the way they did their meetings so everything was clear and the creative process could start.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In my specific case I think they were just perfect.
