We hired AnimationProLabs to bring our game storyline to life through 26 animated videos. Our goal was to create engaging videos with voice over that would capture the attention of and entertain youth.

We looked on Upwork. We selected based on reviews and after seeing the quality of past work.

We coordinated all through Upwork. We had the scripts, design direction notes, and individual assets available. The AnimationProLabs team would provide storyboard drafts for us to review and provide feedback. They then updated them until they were approved. We then moved into production and they would share completed animations for another round of feedback and approval before being finalized.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I coordinated with Iqbal. The process was seamless. Quick feedback rounds helped us hit pretty tight deadlines without sacrificing the quality of the videos.

Our app is launching in in about a month, so at this point feedback is minimal.

We coordinated all through Chat on Upwork. Used Google Docs to share scripts. Their team would share PDF storyboards that were easy to leave comments on via Adobe.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were great with feedback and were very creative given the minimal directions we initially provided. They took two sentences of design direction and turned that into an engaging 30sec video that moved the viewer along.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not that I cat think of.

We discussed the projects via direct message in extensive detail, we set clear project milestones such as design, development, responsiveness etc. WordPress, SiteGround, Illustrator, Adobe etc were all used.

Clients loved the designs and final projects and submitted excellent feedback. Customers loved the new sites and were highly engaged by the videos. Animations helped to sell tickets for the client.

The project was scripted frst and then AnimationProLabs created a story board. Once the story board was cleared they went to work on creating the video. Once the video was cleard we recieved all the renders we asked for.

We looked at multiple companies in Upwork, and chose this vendor based on their end results - they had created explanatory videos similar to what we needed to create for our project.

Our workflow was all-remote, via Slack. We submitted a description of the video and what it needed to convey. We worked with the vendor to create a storyboard, and went through several steps refining both visual and audio.

Our contact at the vendor was highly responsive, and comfortable with an all-remote workflow.

We received a completed video with underlying music and voiceover. This video was the result of a couple of iterations

The project manager was proactive - they asked for things they needed. When they hit a milestone, the presented iterations of the video for auditing.

Visuals were built quickly, and used industry-standard vector graphics

I wish that I had developed a detailed timeline for the steps. A lot of the back and forth editing was related to exactly what words to put under a particular image. If you've got your storyboard set, you'll get things done much quicker. Also, for web projects, they need to get more comfortable with Figma.

I looked for highly rated companies off of upwork and watched numerous videos and thought the work of AnimationProLabs was superior to others.

We started with communication regarding what I was looking for. I then sent over a script which they shared back with some edits around timing and wording. After we finalized the script they sent over a storyboard with contained an image over each line of the script.

If I needed edits I communicated that with them which they would fix promptly. After I finalized the storyboard they animated the entire video and sent it over to me for a final review. During this process I choose a voiceover artist that they recommended.

I worked with a manager throughout the entire process. He always kept in communication and provided work in a timely manner. Always gave me feedback regarding what I was looking for and was able to fix my requests when asked!
