We hired Amplify Marketing to run Amazon advertising campaigns. After about eight weeks they informed us they would not continue the engagement but said they would continue optimizing campaigns through the end of March and ensure a smooth transition.

Instead, once the prepaid ad balance ran out the campaigns were paused without any warning, which caused a complete advertising blackout during the transition — exactly the scenario we had been assured would not happen.

At no point were we notified that the balance was close to being exhausted or that campaigns would be paused without additional funds.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Amplify media + marketing could have done differently?

The engagement was effectively halted after only eight weeks. Anyone who runs Amazon ads knows that campaigns typically require sustained testing and optimization cycles before meaningful conclusions can be drawn, and the metrics at that stage were not indicative of a failed campaign.

To their credit they refunded their service fee, but the lack of communication left us in a worse operational position than when we started.

I needed support and wasn’t sure I had funding to hire a certified business. Additionally, I was afraid of creating a relationship and wasn’t sure if it’d last. In essence, I needed a website. I already had one, but it wasn’t up to par. I needed help with the digital aspect, social media, as well as assistance in figuring out how much to invest and where to put the money. I’m not a media person, I needed somebody with expertise.

One of the things I appreciate about working with them is their integrity. I was very wary and didn’t know how much to invest. However, they were very supportive in my uncertainty and never asked for more.

I receive a monthly report about my analytics. If I have any questions, I can ask them. The report is detailed and their team reviews it with me at our meetings. It’s a very effective process.

They have the interest of their client at the forefront. They never promised anything, they asked what I was looking for and then worked with me to set up a structure that fit me.

Their team wanted to know my story and see how they could help me build my business. That is so rare; most people are sales-oriented. Their team is legit. They love what they do and care about their customers.

No, because if there’s anything I have a question about, they take care of it for me.

I’m the owner of RGV Junk Removal. We specialize in residential and commercial junk removal services.

What challenge were you trying to address with Amplify media + marketing?

Our biggest issue was educating the general public about our services. We were trying to do that on our own through basic social media efforts and a generic site, but they just weren’t effective. That’s when we heard about Amplify media + marketing and met with their representatives.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Amplify media + marketing set the foundation for our digital presence by creating a user-friendly website. The site was compatible with mobile devices, easy to use, and sharp-looking, too. That helped our clients know that we were a professional company.

From there, they set up our Google My Business (GMB) profile, company emails, and social media accounts. It was pretty much like a turnkey service. They made sure that we were uniform across the board.

Another task they helped us with was online reputation management. They configured our setup so that we would get notified whenever a customer left a positive or negative review. This all tied into our organic/paid listings to get placed on the first search page on Google.

I’ve worked with three teammates: a social media specialist, a Google Ads specialist, and a web designer.

A colleague of mine was already doing some advertising with Amplify media + marketing, so I checked them out. I thought they were a good fit because they were transparent about everything—there were no hidden fees or automated call systems. If I called them, they would respond however worked best for me.

We started with them in early 2015, and they’re still managing all of our online marketing.

They provide a monthly report that shows us where our traffic is coming from, whether that’s through organic searches, one of our Google Ads campaigns, or social media. That report breaks it all down so that we know how we’re spending our money. 

$12,000 per year is a lot for a small operation like ours, but we see the right ROI. That’s why I’m confident that they’re doing what’s best for me and my company. The first year that I started doing my own marketing, we generated under $30,000 in revenue in total. But, once I invested with Amplify, we went upwards of $100,000.

They keep us informed on our campaigns. I’m an old-fashioned type, so I expect to reach a real person when I call and that they’ll get back to me in a timely manner. And Amplify media + marketing does.

Occasionally, we might see a delay, but some of that is my fault because I can get pretty busy. During those times, they’re always very patient as they wait for our content, and the team will email me to see if there’s anything they can do on their end to speed up the process.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with how they’ve helped me grow my business. I know it sounds unrealistic, but we really did jump from $30,000 to $100,000 in revenue in a single year.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think so. We’ve been very fortunate in that we haven’t had any issues with them, so it’s hard to think of any critiques. They’re always sending out emails about new opportunities for us if they see room for growth on our campaigns.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t be scared of investing in your own company. The marketing side of your business takes time because their team needs to understand your market and target audience. With all of that data, they’re able to find the right keywords and select the right platforms to help your business grow.

Yes, it’s a terrifying process to invest so much, but it’s extremely worth it at the end of the day. You just need to trust what Amplify media + marketing is telling you to do.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Once the website was up, we started receiving more and more calls without any marketing efforts of our own. The SEO and keywords worked because our leads increased directly for our target audience. We’ve been at 90%–95% capacity for three years, which is great. Even despite the pandemic, we’ve been able to remain at a stable capacity.

Amplify media + marketing has great ideas and is innovative. They keep with the times, and it’s clear their team is aware of their field’s trends and latest practices. All their hard work has had a positive impact on our business.

For example, the apartment model was great because it avoided people calling the office to see if a unit was available. This meant I don’t have to take time away from doing something important to check if that particular unit is available. It was useful for us because it decreased our time doing tasks like that.

Alex responds quickly to our needs. Our company is so dynamic, and we need a partner that can keep up with us. I’ll notify their team about a change with a specific lot, and they’ll send me an updated plot of that. Everything moves quickly and they’re great at keeping up.

They’re great people to work with and have made collaboration easy. Their team pays good attention to detail. We think we know what we want, but they’re able to take it further. They’re experts on what people are attracted to.

No, we’ve never had a problem.

Give them a chance. Don’t be afraid to use a local company just because they’re small. There’s a lot of local talent and that’s embodied in how Amplify media + marketing performs. They’ve helped us grow significantly.

Amplify media + marketing designed our websites for us. They maintain the sites and make updates and changes. We have periodic changes to our menu based on specials and things like that. They also helped us with some social media posts, PPC, and SEO, which we aren’t doing right now but we plan to go back to it at some point. The platforms included Facebook, Google, and Instagram.

Everything they’ve been doing and implementing has been great. I check our social media sometimes twice a day and we haven’t had any negative feedback on the websites or anything.

Amplify media + marketing has and continues to always meet deadlines and keep in contact. Janeisy and I are in contact over text, phone calls, and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very fast to change any discrepancies we might find. Janeisy has been really helpful and whenever I have a question or am having difficulty with anything, she is very quick to offer up a solution.

Landstar Telecom is a cloud hosted communications firm delivering voice and managed services to customers primarily in Texas and across multiple states across the U.S. I am the CEO and oversee staff responsible Infrastructure, Carrier Services and multiple tiers of support.

We struggled with several design companies including our own attempt to design our website in house. Our goal was to build our brand to compete on a nationwide scale and not just local.

How did you select Amplify media + marketing and what were the deciding factors?

Travis at Amplify was a customer of ours and thru our already existing professional relationship, He was ready to take on the task of taking our online presence to the next level!

After providing Travis with a very broad scope of what we wanted to accomplish, He was able to dissect and help organize our requirements to create our new website.

While Amplify has a full staff, we dealt with Travis directly. Travis was able to effectively communicate to His team our requests and the result was very little back and forth communication as they were able to hit the nail on the head every time!

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

As a result of the work done at landstartel.co, we have commissioned Amplify for additional products and have referred Travis and His team to already existing clients of Landstar Telecom for projects relating to online presence and site design.

Because of our busy schedules, we primarily used email to communicate. This proved to be a very effective method over phone as we were both able to collect and respond to requests in a timely manner.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed that there was very little back and forth trying to figure out what we wanted or expected. The entire process was super smooth without incident.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No recommendations yet. With the stellar projects they turn out, they'll have to hire more people as more business discover them and hire them for their projects!

I'm the manager of Discount Used Auto Parts. We do retail and wholesale sales of used auto parts.

What challenge were you trying to address with Amplify media + marketing?

We were trying to drive traffic into our brick and mortar store as well as generate leads. Most of our sales are done through salesman and not the website. So we wanted to drive phone calls to our locations so our salesmen can speak to potential customers and bring them into the store to buy parts.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Amplify built a new website that’s interactive in order to increase the amount of time that people spend looking at the pages and on the site in general. They use script to improve our results in searches and integrated a keyword list to trigger potential customers searching for a product. They also manage our AdWords campaign. Our focus has been increasingly on mobile so they made the site responsive and are building a mobile application.

They were a referral by a friend in the restaurant business. He was happy with their service and referred them to me.

I'm not entirely sure because the amount has increased over time, but I've probably spent over $100,000 in total.

We started working together around three years ago and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re doubling or tripling how long the average person stays on the site. Since we started working with Amplify, they’re improving the website's conversion rate by about 300%. My cost per conversion and my cost per click are down by a third as a result. Their advertising is also very effective. It's driving much more traffic to the site and our sales have increased month over month for the last three years.

How did Amplify media + marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

I really like that they have designated people working on my account. I don't have to call them because they will regularly call me to find out what they can do for us, what can be improved, and what we're working on. They value our input as business owners. I mostly deal with the account manager but I can contact her supervisor if there's ever a problem. I haven't really had any issues but every once in a while I'll call him just to discuss what's going on and how we can improve.

When we first started working together, they sent people to my office for meetings or we’d collaborate over email. We had weekly scheduled calls the beginning. Now that everything is rolling on its own, we speak monthly or every couple of months. I do still get a monthly email from the account manager letting me know what's going on or if there's any new products being rolled out by Google. They do a great job letting me know if there are any changes to the procedures for the remarketing campaigns or anything else.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Working with Amplify is definitely paying for itself. I don't even see it as an expense because my cost per conversion continues to go down as our sales are increasing. They’re multiplying the impact because the campaign is designed in a way that I continually see an improvement in the cost per interaction. In terms of their service, the most important thing for me is that they're available. Being able to actually speak to somebody immediately if there's an issue is really critical. Even when it's not necessary, it's nice to know that there's somebody available right away.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I'm always going to want to drive the cost down per interaction to save money. So that can always be improved.
