Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We needed a mobile application that would enable our users who visit our facilities to manage their waivers, players, and teams. Upon initial login, we'd check to see if they've completed a recent waiver. If they haven't completed a waiver recently, we'd prompt them to fill out the waiver. After they finish the waiver, they're then able to view standings and schedule for their teams. We also enable them to manage multiple player accounts, e.g. a family with children who play soccer. In the next version of the app, we'll introduce payments and player check-in.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Prior to the mobile app, forms were filled out at the physical facility. This would lead to a queue of people at the front of the facility waiting for a kiosk or navigating the waiver on their mobile devices. With the new mobile app, the users are able to fill out the waiver anywhere, which greatly relieves congestion at the front of the physical facility.

AllCode was a pleasure to work with. They delivered the project on time and on budget. They're always available on Slack or via email.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

AllCode was able to do the UI\UX design, project management, software development, quality assurance, and DevOps.

Are there any areas for improvement or something AllCode could have done differently?

We would have liked to add the mobile payment option to version 1.0 of the mobile app. The mobile payments will have to wait for version 2.0.

I’m the COO of ConsejoSano. We connect Spanish speakers in the US with Spanish-speaking physicians and healthcare providers.

What challenge were you trying to address with AllCode?

We needed help with developing the platform that formed the basis of our service offering.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

AllCode built the original solution for our service offering, which was a platform that allows for a culturally sensitive interaction between Spanish speakers in the US and Spanish-speaking physicians in Mexico. 

AllCode developed the platform in Ruby on Rails, using AWS in the backend and React and Java on the frontend. This is now a legacy product that their team maintains alongside our in-house engineering team

What is the team composition?

We originally worked with seven people. They supplied a product manager, and Joel (Founder & CEO, AllCode) did a lot of work with us directly. Now, we work with two people. 

How did you come to work with AllCode?

I joined the company about 1.5–2 years after we had started working with AllCode. I believe the company originally found them by searching for vendors in the San Francisco area.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $1.2 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

The company started working with AllCode in 2015 or 2016. My involvement didn’t start until early 2017. Our collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve since largely retired the platform and replaced it with a different approach to our service offering. We’ve also added features and built out the capacity from 20,000 users to over one million with our in-house engineers. However, AllCode supported that scaling in a fundamental way. We have nothing but positive things to say about their team and the cultural impact they’ve had on our company.

How did AllCode perform from a project management standpoint?

Most of the project management work happened prior to my arrival. However, I can certainly say that they are collaborative and supportive. We’ve put a lot on them as a client, and they’ve delivered. They’ve been extremely flexible with everything from adding new requirements to delivering on narrow deadlines to billing. They’ve been a great partner to our growing startup.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I think AllCode’s flexibility is the number one trait I’d note about them. They really fill the gaps that an organization may have; they can scale their involvement and be an entire solution if needed. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wish they had engineers based in the US; that would help us with the regulatory requirements our company faces.

Any advice for potential customers?

Joel’s a very dedicated individual who’s built a great business. Go into a partnership with them having high expectations.

• At KlearNow.AI, we needed a way to make our supply chain more transparent and secure. We wanted to track every step of goods movement and create trust for all partners in the process. Blockchain was the right tool, but we needed expert help to plan and build it.

Allcode worked with us from the very start. They helped us design a blockchain-based system that could track shipments in real time and provide secure data to all parties. They created a plan for a phased rollout so we could start small and scale up over time. Their team also set up a secure marketplace and payment gateway, opening up new business opportunities for us.
