I’m a senior product owner at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.

We needed support with Salesforce solutions.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ALIO IT SOLUTIONS LLC has built two Salesforce solutions from the ground up, creating new environments to support our various departments. We work with two different teams: one for clinical education and another for enrollment and admissions.

When they were brought on, they were tasked with helping us grow by leveraging Agile methodologies. We practice the Scrum framework within agile methods, and they’ve had Scrum Masters help us get up to speed with those processes. When we first started, there was nothing like that in place. They’ve coached us on how to transform our organization into a better-functioning project management office. We've provided them with limited documentation because our agile engagement was brand new. I work closely with all the teams to provide the necessary documentation. I also set up meetings based on their recommendations.

What is the team composition?

We initially worked with 20–25 people from their team, and we’re now down to about 10 people.

Our CIO referred them to me. He worked with them in a previous engagement and trusted them 100%. They were chosen because they were knowledgeable about Salesforce solutions. They had business analysts, product managers, project managers, and developers who were all knowledgeable about Salesforce.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We measure success based on the implementation and solutions that allow our end users to do their jobs more efficiently. In that regard, we’ve received a lot of great feedback from our end users. Every time we deploy new features, we give a demonstration to our end users, and they're extremely happy because we’re making their jobs a lot easier. As a result, we can engage with our customers more effectively. This has also given us a 30% higher conversion rate for enrollments within our school.

How did ALIO IT SOLUTIONS LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

They deliver on time and on budget. We use Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams for communication and task management.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Karla has had a major impact. She’s the reason we converted to the Agile framework and has the knowledge to move in an Agile environment.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're very efficient with their solutions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

All the improvements are usually on our side, and I have nothing negative to say about them.
