Algoscale has been responsive, collaborative, and professional throughout the project. The work has been complex and evolving, but they have stayed engaged, communicated clearly, and been receptive to detailed feedback and architectural direction. When issues or blockers came up, they were transparent about them and worked with me to resolve them rather than letting them stall progress. Overall, they have managed the project well, remained flexible to changing requirements, and shown a genuine willingness to align the build closely with the intended outcome.

What stands out most is their responsiveness and willingness to engage seriously with a technically demanding, evolving build. They were open to detailed feedback, adapted well when requirements became more refined, and stayed constructive when working through blockers or architectural changes. I also appreciated that they were transparent about challenges as they arose, which made collaboration much more effective.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Algoscale Technologies, Inc. could have done differently?

One area for improvement would be aligning the architectural interpretation earlier in the process so fewer structural clarifications are needed later. This was a complex build, and some elements needed tightening as the system became more clearly defined. That said, the team was receptive to feedback and adapted well once expectations were clarified, so the collaboration remained positive and productive throughout.

We wanted to get our beta product developed into a web application.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Algoscale Technologies developed a Python web application; it hosts our central IT and gives access to our data company, providing feedback. The app allows users to upload building plans and other documents to digitize and automate their internal workload. A fully automated web crawler visits building product manufacturer websites and downloads product documentation, catalogs installation instructions, etc. After that, an old CR engine takes PDF drawings, building plans, and other materials to enable users to select the area they want to digitize. A PDF processing software feature allows users to upload PDF files, add mockups, highlight, write text boxes, combine things, and more to create a compilation of documents.

We provided requirements, screenshots of the intended UI/UX, and an entire storyboard for user interaction. They currently offer ongoing maintenance, as well as the support of future developments.

What is the team composition?

Initially, we worked with a part-time project manager, two frontend engineers, and two backend engineers. We recently added another backend engineer and someone to handle software architecture.

They led project management in the beginning, but I recently took over. We communicate throughout the day on Slack and have daily meetings to discuss updates, progress, and priorities for the next day.

They’re attentive to their clients — I can reach out to the owner or anyone on the team, and they quickly respond.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve their communication and the accountability of individual team members, but it’s a good partnership overall.

They’re strong regarding their developers, so having an internal project manager works best to ensure staying on a timeline and getting everything done.

I’m the CEO of an AI-based platform that helps businesses, of any scale, deploy machine learning-driven customer acquisition at scale.

What challenge were you trying to address with Algoscale Technologies, Inc.?

We were doing a full bottom-up review of our machine learning, data pipeline, and pre-processing operations. The scope involved building multiple models to test different outcomes and compare them against a set of existing KPIs. Once that was done, we’d make a decision on whether or not we wanted to deploy new models into production.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They did and continue to do quite a lot of work in terms of data cleansing and building different pipelines in order to accommodate our different data acquisitions. They combined those into a single user journey across a number of different channels. Then, they’ve built profiles and clusters against which we can target different behaviors on our customers’ sites.

They’ve really worked from the ground up in terms of building the acquisition of the data, deploying pipelines, monitoring them, and accessing the quality. Then, they built those into a production environment and ensured they were stable and scalable. They’ve pretty much been working exclusively in Python.

They had to do quite a lot of work to understand our business. They had to learn the user experience flow, connect that to the generated data, and then process that data in a way that makes sense (not only from a data science perspective but also from a real-world perspective). After we worked with them for a couple of weeks, we were confident that they understood what they were taking on.

This was partly an audit process as much as it was an R&D process.  We gave them a broad brief because we wanted to get a birds-eye view of the scope of the project.

We’re working with two people, and we’re about to include a third person.

How did you come to work with Algoscale Technologies, Inc.?

For a couple of weeks, we spent a lot of time speaking with the CEO, their data scientists, and engineers. It was a process of us getting to know them and vice versa. Ultimately, we decided they were intuitive, committed, and definitely open to working on a long-term basis. Also, they wanted to take a holistic approach.

We’ve invested between $25,000 and $50,000 so far. It will probably be a $50,000 per-year contract.

We started working together in September of 2019, and the work is ongoing.

It’s all working so far. We’ve already deployed what we built plus the pipelines. We’ve also deployed the way of presenting them to clients. We’re be adding our customer acquisition tools on top of the existing work they’ve have done. We’re now into the production and application phases.

Project management is going extremely well. They communicate, deliver on time, and work long hours. They’re accommodating and detail-oriented. They take guidance well, and they deliver insight along with high-quality outcomes. We use Slack and communicate constantly, every day for the last five months.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They managed to understand a business and product offer that they had no direct experience with. They’ve delivered and built pipelines that reflect not only what we need from a business case, but also real-world outcomes. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we’ve had no issues with them.

Set aside a period of time to have a clear, open discussion about the project scope and complexity. Ultimately, it will enable them to get their feet wet and dig into the project. We found that once we actually started work, they were able to adapt quickly and intelligently to the problems.

IGNI is our flagship product to track vehicles operational efficiency that are running inside a warehouse. Raw data will come from the GPS tracking sensors fitted on the vehicles where we need to transform the data to get us meaningful insights on vehicles operational efficiency, driver's efficiency, remote immobilizing and much more which will help production shift manager to plan his day and vehicle operator's productivity.

Initially, we started with a 3 member team and increased to 5 that includes 2 full stack developer, 1 business analyst and 2 quality engineers. During the project, we lost a scrum master from our side and Algoscale extended their help by taking care of running the sprint and ensured smooth delivery.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are able to monitor 100+ vehicles inside our customers warehouse located in different location within India. Productivity insights such as vehicle's running time, stop time, idle time, ignition time, drivers attendance vehicles attendance, overtime and many such reports are developed flawlessly by Algoscale which helped us in winning customers confidence that in-turn helped us to grab more orders.

We connected with them through slack and their entire team is very effective in communicating and delivering on time. we used JIRA to run the sprint and track bugs which really coped up well with our strict timelines and developed the product and fixed bugs on time

They have a quality and delivery-centric approach that impressed us. They always stand beyond our expectations.

We hired Algoscale to build a scalable reporting and data tracking infrastructure. The technology that they built handled millions of requests per hour and operated at a global scale. It was critical that this infrastructure was able to scale without downtime and Algoscale was able to ensure that it was able to.

What were your goals for this project?

The goals of this project was to increase efficiency and performance with our product and within the organization as a whole.

How did you select this vendor?

I interviewed and/or worked with at least 5 other vendors before Algoscale. After those did not work out I created a more rigorous interview process in which I gave Algoscale a small project to ensure that they could effectively complete it in a timely manner. The succeeded and in doing so showed a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. This convinced me to use them for the larger project.

Describe the project in detail.

The scope of this project was to create a big data capturing engine as well as create an analytics platform to synthesize the data. This data synthesized so that it could be presented to clients externally as well as used internally for optimizations and tracking. My role was to facilitate the project by working with the development lead from Algoscale. We contributed rough design docs and project requirements. Algoscale assisted in determining the best and most cost effective solutions and technologies to use. Algoscale was responsible for maintaining the platform after the build was complete. This was mainly for platform additions and changes

The entire team for this project was provided by Algoscale. There was one project lead and then a core of 3 engineers. The team fluctuated from there based on the workload and expertise needed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The platform a built on time and met the specs that were originally laid out. Over the course of the build some of the requirements were changed as we started to fully understand what we needed. Algoscale was adaptable to these changes and helped guide us to the best possible solution for our needs.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had a pretty seamless workflow. Most of it was guided by the algoscale tech lead. Code was tracked through a share git repository and tasks and changes were tracked through Jira.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their ability to research and develop domain knowledge in areas where they had not previously operated in. Additionally Algoscale is unwilling to settle for anything less than full customer satisfaction. There were times when the changes/missteps were our fault but Algoscale stepped in and made changes without negotiation or back and forth. Their ultimate goal is a truly happy client and it shows.

Are there any areas for improvement?

It would have been nice to have a US based project lead at times however Algoscale made a great effort to be available at all times.

Our software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform brings providers (hospitals) and suppliers (manufacturers, dealers, and distributors) to the same place, enabling them to do business with each other. The big difference about our solution is that, unlike others, it provides buyers as well as sellers with the ability to manage their day-to-day operations using cloud and big-data analysis.

What challenge were you trying to address with Algoscale Technologies?

We were working on the analysis part of our solution, bringing in various sorts of structured and unstructured big data, normalizing it, making it analyzable, and using various methodologies in order to create a prediction engine. We wanted to use that engine as a means of making cost-saving recommendations.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Algoscale provided software development. There was a lot of work with the data itself, both structured and unstructured. We needed the ability to understand it since the data were coming in from over 200 sources. Making it analyzable meant doing various operations connected with the ETL [extract, transform, and load] process in an easier way. There are regulatory and product data coming in from various manufacturers. We call this the curation engine internally, and it was a big part of the whole exercise.

We used various technologies, including Python, JSON, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch. There were multiple development sprints, and we used the Agile Scrum methodology. The team fluctuated between anywhere from 6–9 people at different parts of the engagement.

How did you come to work with Algoscale Technologies?

Neeraj, their founder, was actually a former colleague of mine. He’s been involved in many big-data analysis and predictive intelligence projects. We knew about other companies, but this was why we decided to use Algoscale.

What is the status of this engagement?

We have been working with Algoscale Technologies since around July of 2014. We continue to use them as a partner.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The database for which we’re creating the curation engine is the core of our business. It’s being used for multiple sets of analysis for order management and in a variety of other ways. I wouldn’t say that we couldn’t have done this without Algoscale, but they were helpful in speeding up the process. We had started the development, so they came in as an auxiliary resource.

How did Algoscale Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed well and worked with us in a collaborative fashion. Algoscale was responsive to our requests and brainstorming sessions, either coming up with interesting ideas and out-of-the-box suggestions or challenging the concepts we already had in place. They responded to our emails in a timely fashion. We also used Skype, Cisco WebEx, and other communication tools.

I appreciated their ability to come up with certain ideas involving newer technologies.

No, they’ve been a great partner and have helped us whenever we needed it. They continue to grow and have tried to be a true partner, bending over backward to meet our deadlines. There is always room for improvement in some areas, but I have no specific recommendations for Algoscale.

Clients need to have a vision when partnering with anyone. Be prepared for different kinds of contingencies. We crafted our own model neatly, which wasn’t Algoscale’s responsibility.
