I’m an accountant for Alrassi Artificial Trees, a wholesale and retail trade company for artificial trees. We’re the largest company in our field in Saudi Arabia.

We needed support developing a custom B2B e-commerce platform to serve our wholesale customers and meet our business requirements.

What was the scope of their involvement?

AlexApps has designed and developed a custom B2B e-commerce platform for us. The team has built the platform from the ground up based on our needs. The scope of work includes the storefront, backend system, admin dashboard, product and customer management, order management, and integration of the different parts of the platform. AlexApps has also developed several custom features based on our wholesale sales process and operational needs.These custom features include customer account approval and activation, wholesale-specific pricing, advanced product search and filtering, customized product ordering and quantity management, customer-specific order links, and an admin dashboard for managing customers, products, orders, and platform settings.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

AlexApps has successfully developed and launched a fully custom B2B e-commerce platform tailored to our wholesale operations. The platform has enabled us to move key wholesale processes into one digital system, including customer management, product browsing, wholesale pricing, ordering, and order management.We’ve seen clear improvements in the efficiency of our internal workflow and in the ordering experience for our wholesale customers. The successful implementation of the custom features we require, along with the platform’s continued development and improvement, has been a strong indicator of the project’s progress and success.From an operational perspective, the platform has significantly streamlined our workflow, centralized customer and order management, and reduced our reliance on manual ordering processes. We estimate that the platform has reduced the time spent on ordering and order management by approximately 70%–90%. Many processes that previously required manual communication, product selection, and order entry can now be completed directly by our wholesale customers through the B2B platform. This has significantly reduced the workload for our team, saved time for both our staff and customers, and made the overall ordering process much faster and more efficient.

How did AlexApps perform from a project management standpoint?

AlexApps manages the project professionally, with good communication, cooperation, and responsiveness throughout the development process. The team is flexible in handling our requests, changes, and additional requirements as the project evolves.While some stages have taken longer than originally expected due to the custom nature of the platform and ongoing changes in requirements, the team has remained committed and transparent throughout the process. Overall, we’re satisfied with their project management and the level of support and cooperation they provide.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re most impressed by AlexApps’ flexibility, honesty, and willingness to understand our business needs rather than simply delivering a standard solution. The team works closely with us to build a fully custom B2B platform around our actual wholesale operations and is always open to feedback and improvements.We especially appreciate the professionalism and integrity of Eng. Overall, we’re very satisfied with our experience with AlexApps. If there’s one area they could improve, it would be providing more detailed timelines and progress updates during some stages of development, especially for a large and highly customized project like ours. This would make planning and coordination even easier. However, the team has always been responsive, cooperative, and willing to address our feedback and make the necessary improvements.
