We needed help with software development.

We worked with Addepto on a software development project. They built a software tool for us to manage our production lines and optimize waste of the materials. 

We had technical specifications and requirements and they helped us build the solution. They helped us to adjust and implement machine learning and AI. They used Python, jQuery, and Flask. For the rest of the work, we used custom code in PyTorch and TensorFlow libraries.

What is the team composition?

There was a project lead, a senior engineer, and a data scientist.

How did you come to work with Addepto?

Their reply to our RFP was the best. They were the best match for us. They had the industry experience of working with manufacturers. They were also cost effective.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost was about $80,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project took place from February–August 2020. We’re planning to engage on another project with them.

We had the milestones planned for delivery of particular software parts. The communication was great. Everything was great.

Everything was tracked using Jira. We had weekly online calls. It was an agile, scrum approach.

Addepto’s involvement and commitment to the project was most impressive.

I don’t see any failures. It’s been a great experience.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We started working on the project with a meeting which helped us clearly understand the goal and possible ways of fulfilling it. Once we agreed on the best ML & BI solution, Addepto team prepared a prototype which we consulted and updated together. The final solution was - implemented analytical dashboards and customer churn prediction, all working flawlessly.

Members of the team were mostly machine learning engineers and business intelligence consultants. The project manager, experienced in machine learning solutions, kept us informed about the progress and answered all the questions that arose.

Addepto has an individual approach from the very beginning. They are open to change and ready to face difficulties. The effect of their work was satisfactory and ready on time.

I haven't noticed any specific area they should be working on.

After that, they collected data from our systems and analyzed it, preparing their recommendations for solutions and how they could be implemented. Once we chose the best one for us, Addepto continued with data preparation, modeling, and then deployment.

There was a project manager from our side that controlled the work. Addepto assigned two senior developers and a middle developer to create all the solutions.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Thanks to their involvement, we received additional BI and Machine Learning modules for our SaaS product. The reports are interactive, giving us the possibility to analyze all KPIs and see through all the details. The machine learning module for churn prediction is very accurate.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was easy to communicate with Addepto’s flexible team. We used Slack and Google Hangouts to communicate, which increased overall efficiency and optimized our time. They use Jira for project management.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have an extremely deep knowledge of machine learning and BI. They can create new solutions from scratch which can become big game changers. They don’t use standard approaches.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The BI solutions and machine learning models that they implemented work well. We’re now preparing a roadmap for the next areas of improvement, which we will start working on in the next few months.
