I’m the co-founder of Kicks Guru, a fashion news outlet. We write about upcoming sneaker releases.

What challenge were you trying to address with Adaptia?

We were trying to improve our organic traffic.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Adaptia set up a plan for us to build out backlinks, and they helped us build our WordPress website from scratch. The website is blog-based, and they designed the layout and color scheme. They also helped us build our shop and integrated a custom functionality where people can search for sneakers by color.

They’ve been managing our content writing and SEO on a monthly basis, optimizing the tags and keywords onsite, and adding backlinks offsite on different articles. Additionally, they provide ongoing maintenance to our website and handle all of our social media accounts: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Quora, and Pinterest.

There are usually 3–4 people from Adaptia in our weekly calls. Sergio (Managing Director) is our main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Adaptia?

It has been a while since we started working together, so I don’t remember how we found them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $25,000–$30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2019, and our engagement is ongoing. We launched the site in 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We went from zero users a day to almost 300 in a year with just organic engagement — no ads.

How did Adaptia perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is good — Adaptia is on point with everything. We have weekly calls over Google Meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Adaptia’s personal touch distinguishes them from other providers; they’re always on top of everything, being communicative and fast to reply.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wouldn’t change anything that Adaptia does. They have their way of work, and they’re good at it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have regular meetings and pay attention to what’s going on in them to keep yourself updated. There may be a lot of things going on, and you could lose track of them if you don’t communicate with Adaptia regularly.

I do PR for Iconic Paw. We produce clever portraits where pets and their owners are portrayed as fictional characters or royalty.

We hired Adaptia to help our company rank higher on Google and other search engines for organic and paid keywords. Our goal was to increase our website traffic, sales, and revenue.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Adaptia mainly dealt with our SEO. The team helped us with blog creation, backlink efforts, and meta-optimization. Along with handling our keywords and keyword research, they also produced PR releases for our company.

We worked with three people from their team.

Our internal SEO specialist was the one who found Sergio (Managing Director). We thought that he and his team were so easy to work with, so we went into the project with them.

We spent almost $30,000.

We started working with them in June 2020 and we’ve just finished up the project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our company is doing really well. Adaptia did everything that we needed them to do. We went from having 80–85 backlinks to now having 400 referring domains. Our keywords have also increased from 370 to 900. Sixty of our keywords rank on the first two pages of Google search results, which is really good. 

How did Adaptia perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated with the team through email and Workplace. They were very responsive; if we had any issues, they were really quick to reply or hop on a call to address it. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

It felt like we were working with them on a very personal level. All agencies have their clients’ best interests at heart, but Adaptia really went the extra mile to coach me and my team when it came to SEO.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything that they could’ve done differently. There were small issues that did come up, but they were able to resolve those before it could turn into a bigger problem.

The most important thing is communication; make what you want really clear. Sergio and the Adaptia team can help you out with anything.

We chose Adaptia because Sergio seemed like a down to earth guy that pays attention to his clients, unlike many large firms.

we discussed website design and strategy for the first year of Kicksguru. We have weekly phone calls to discuss current work and updates.

we have been in contact with many people at Adaptia including a social media specialist, SEO author, operations manager, and others throughout the time working with Adaptia. Depending on the current project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

In less than 1 year we have gone from no website at all to a website with over 2K ranked keywords that is seeing around 200 unique visitors daily from organic search and the numbers are growing every week.

we have weekly calls with adaptia where they go over a full written weekly agenda outlining all of the current and completed projects including dev work, new content, backlinks, rankings, and social.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive and unique thing about Adaptia is their work ethic and the way they deal with their clients. We have worked with other very large firms who have created subpar content, spent ridiculous amounts on advertising, and produced very little results, not to mention barely contactable. With Adaptia we always know what is happening on a weekly basis and they quickly respond to emails.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Adaptia seems to be constantly striving to improve their company, and they do everything great in my opinion.

Vice President of ViP Sparklers. We sell novelty sparklers to nightclubs, weddings and events.

We needed an entire facelift. Adaptia helped us overhaul our entire websites and even create an entire roadmap for SEO and the tools to enhance our website are launch date.

What were your goals for this project?

Increase revenue and gain more traffic volume.

How did you select this vendor?

Meet at an SEO Convention in Key Biscayne, Florida. From there we did an audit for them followed by an entire one-year roadmap to success for the online brand.

They helped migrate our current site on WordPress and move it to Shopify with an entirely new theme. We redid all of our current content with them and went after strategic keywords.

What was the team composition?

Adaptia had three employees at our disposal at all times. Not only could they solve immediate issues or concerns, but they helped groom our company for future success.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They did a very professional job rebranding ViP Sparklers and help open our doors to high end hotels and venues. Our website was no longer stuck with our competition but ahead of them in content, creation and UI.

Seamless, working beside this team has helped restructure our team here in making headway with online presence.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We appreciated how honest they were. They never sold us for the ranking, but instead on quality and effectiveness to facilitate the news. Our previous company was taking advantage of our company and Adaptia help pinpoint that.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Not really they exceeded our expectations.

COO of Pure and Simple Wellness. We are a women's health brand focused on women's hormones, providing programs, books, a podcast, supplements, and essential oils.

For what projects/services did your company hire Adaptia?

We hired Adaptia to create our Shopify store from scratch for the launch of our new supplement line.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal was to get a fully functioning e-commerce store that resembled our WordPress website, with a total of around 12 initial products launched, with all necessary plugins, including the ability for upsells, subscriptions, and lots of other customizations.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

They were highly recommended to us by a trusted colleague and mentor. I had a couple conversations with Sergio and the pricing and expertise seemed like a great value. They had 100% knowledge and confidence with everything that we wanted to do, compared to a few other vendors we considered who didn't have confident answers around a few key areas for me.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

They designed and developed the entire store, set up all the products, all the plugins, and worked with us on many revisions. They were really patient with us as we made some decisions around our launch strategies.

What was the team composition?

We worked with three people directly, Sergio, a project manager and a writer. I know there was at least one other developer working on our project behind the scenes. We felt very supported for this size of project.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The store launched without a hitch, on-time, and to a profitable first month. We are still soft-launching the store, so the true ROI remains to be seen, but so far so good! We likely plan to hire Adaptia for additional development hours to make continued improvements to the store to try to increase subscriptions, conversion rate and AOV.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management deadlines and goals were communicated weekly and on calls. Deliverables were on time, and reviewed with us regularly each step of the way.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Confidence and ease of implementation of everything that I mentioned. They were patient with us and a pleasure to work with overall. They provided plenty of revisions and edits along the way.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There isn't much they could improve. It's hard to predict every little thing that will come up with each client, and they did a good job in the beginning of doing so. However, along the way, due to a few changes in direction from us, we needed some refreshers on our overall launch checklist (where we were and what was remaining).

I’m the CEO of a health and wellness company that offers online programs, supplements, shakes, and bars. We help people manage their weight and overall health.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Adaptia?

Our goal was twofold. The first part of the project involved improving our SEO to capture more organic traffic and keywords. We also wanted to do a better job monitoring analytics to better our content and backlinks. They were also contracted to manage our Shopify store.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

When they started with us, we found that we had been the victim of a very negative, targeted backlinking campaign. So, we had a very low trust score and a lot to clean up. We had several spam sites linking to our company, so they identified those domains individually and got them disconnected from us. They also submitted disavow files for the rest.

It was key that they did this tactfully because disconnecting that number of links from our site could also be harmful to our SEO. They decided to implement this process over the course of several months to ensure our SEO wasn’t damaged. 

They further supported our SEO by leading content marketing efforts. That involved them creating content and placing backlinks in several external sites. Because we’d never focused on keywords before, several of our ranking keywords didn’t pertain directly to our business. They engaged in keyword research and a thoughtful backlinking strategy to intentionally target relevant words.  

Our Shopify store required them to resolve issues with customers, tracking inventory, posting new items, and manage marketing promotions. There’s a minimum of two promotions each month, so they’ve been very involved in those promotion changes for several years.

The goal there was to focus on consistency in customer experience to drive up conversion rates, average order value, and customer retention. Their team also implemented a subscription program through the site. They continue to maintain the WordPress site, ensuring its secure and updated with new content. I’ve worked with them on other projects that involved an entire website build as well.  

What is the team composition?

We interface with two individuals from their team on a daily basis. There are at least six other resources that have touched the account at some point as well. I don’t have direct contact with them, though. 

How did you come to work with Adaptia?

When we noticed that there was a problem with our SEO, they were recommended to me by a trusted colleague. Sergio (Managing Director) offered to do a free SEO audit for us, and that’s when we discovered how badly we were impacted by the negative backlinking campaign.

From there, we put a plan in place with them. He was helpful in helping our executives understand what was going on. They didn’t have a strong understanding of SEO and content, so that encouraged us to keep them on board as a partner.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $350,000–$400,000 with them to date.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around September 2017. They took over our Shopify store full-time in March 2018, and our collaboration is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They went above and beyond just repairing our SEO and trust score. At this point, we’re up 9,600% in traffic coming from our keyword targeting and backlinking efforts. Our trust score is 400% higher than it was when we started the engagement with them. We’ve seen $500,000 of annual revenue coming from that organic traffic flow. This engagement has been a massive success.

We also have a steady $100,000 of revenue from subscriptions coming through each month. There’s a high level of retention on subscriptions as well. That’s due entirely to the functionalities they enabled on our Shopify site. Our rate of returning customers also rose from 69% to 83% since working with their team. We’re very pleased with that as well. They’ve made it easy for our customers to make purchases and stay engaged with our brand.

How did Adaptia perform from a project management standpoint?

I’ve never worked with another agency that can communicate at their level. They put together solid analytics and tracking to help us monitor progress. They’ve also followed through in their plans, updating us on their progress toward goals. We have regular meetings with them, but they’re also looped into our Slack channels for real-time requests. They’ve always been available to us.

 Because of their extreme perseverance, it feels like they’re members of my internal team. They’re committed to resolving issues, completing work on time, and paying attention to the bottom line.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

The depth and breadth of their knowledge have pushed our business above and beyond our expectations. They’re able to recommend areas for improvement that we may not have recognized without them. Their skillsets and expertise ensure that they’ll be able to find answers to just about any question. There’s never a problem that they won’t try to solve. Even if they don’t have an answer immediately, they take the time to research and solve problems. 

They treat our business the way they would treat their own. Because of their integrity and attention to detail, I’m confident and trusting in all of their processes. Their team is kind, thoughtful, and thorough. Instead of just communicating with leadership, they keep in contact with my entire team.   

Are there any areas they could improve?

They have tons of potential to help many other businesses. I’d love to see them scale up to meet those needs.

If you have questions about your organic traffic or are seeing an opportunity for additional revenue through that channel, engage them for a free SEO audit. There’s so much to learn through their analytical, metrics-driven approach to that process.

The audit will provide very valuable insight into your own business. Keep an open mind and give them the chance to show you what they can do. You’ll be surprised at how quickly and easily they can make changes that will impact your bottom line.
