Silver Tongue Development Inc.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CTO of Project Vital, an organization dedicated to working with web developers to ensure that all sites are fully ADA compatible and compliant.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Silver Tongue Development Inc.?

We needed our internal systems converted to work within AI to increase efficiency. We have a very small office and have very little time allotted for many minor tasks. We asked Silver Tongue Development Inc. to help us come up with a way to automate multiple tasks through either AI integrations or automated zaps through Zapier.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Silver Tongue Development Inc. built three AI workflows so that we could audit incoming sites that visitors had complained about and provide a detailed report of the shortcomings of that site. The site owner would be given a list of issues to bring into compliance and would flag us for follow-up and possible legal filing if the site didn’t do its best to make itself ADA compliant to the letter of the law. Silver Tongue Development Inc. developed an AI scanning system that would look at existing websites and verify their current compliance with ADA and WCAG 2.1 capabilities. The system would also flag internal staff for review for a physical eyes-on-the-site check. It would track this review and audit in alignment with complaints we had received from users in the real world and then add this interaction to our CRM for follow-up and future audits.

We spent $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were able to completely remove an interaction from the loop on initial complaints of website noncompliance and free up about 70% of the time of two staffers that had been dedicated to this project and to this workflow. Now, they only need to spend about 30% of their time reviewing flagged sites that have already been audited by the AI system. Our internal staff keeps a diary of their day-to-day hours of what projects they’re working on and what they have open time to take on and tackle. We’ve removed a significant amount of the tedious style of monotonous work of checking new website complaints and turned it completely over to AI, freeing up a significant level of their time and letting them focus on sites that were habitual offenders and hadn’t taken the time to become ADA or WCAG compliant. Since we’re not implementing the resolutions on our end, the only thing we’ve been able to do is speed up how often we can audit the work and remove somebody from our noncompliant list or add them to our next level of complaint list. The AI can audit more sites in a day than the two staffers could in a week. The AI completes a little over 125 audits a day, with deep dives on an additional 20% of those.
