Homegrown Foods is a Twin Cities'-based business that sources local, organic ingredients for meal kits that we deliver to customers' homes.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We send our customer deliveries to Accell, who route the stops so we can add that info to the packages for delivery. Accell comes to our facility one day per week, pulls the packages out of cold storage and loads their vehicles. They deliver the packages by the end of the day. During their route, they pick up return materials (it's a subscription service) and bring them back to our facility.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Routes being processed on time, so we can print them on our labels. Packages being delivered in a timely manner, to the correct addresses. Good communication on bad-weather or bad-traffic days, so we can keep customers notified if their packages are running behind schedule.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Accell is very on-time. They weave our deliveries between their other customers. If there is any disruption from our typical schedule (down a driver, vehicle break down, etc) they are communicative so we can notify our customers. When customers know when to expect their delivery, they are very understanding.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It's been nice that we've been able to build a relationship over the years. They have great customer service and are flexible for small businesses like mine.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Accell Courier Service could have done differently?

Not that I am aware of.
