Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Using a developed script, I asked Abbott Animation to create an amination showing how zinc goes from being mined underground, through the crushing process and then arrives to the processing facility. The animation then explains what happens to the zinc to become concentrate. Abbott had to work with our engineers who provided files as a basis to develop the animation as real as possible.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We wanted an easy to understand, modern-looking video that clearly explains to the general public what happens to zinc at Hermosa and how it becomes concentrate.

Abbott was very reactive to the best of their ability. Sometimes working with our files was not easy and it took back and forth to clearly have what they needed to create a good animation. There was not hard deadline for the project and it was completed within reason.

Our clients require a range of production work, from training videos to explainer videos for complex SaaS products that easily and quickly provide the necessary understanding for investors and prospective clients.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Abbott Animation provided turnkey solutions, from identifying and securing highly specialized talent to video production, including shooting and postproduction. Most recently, they completed a series of introductory and training videos for a sports performance platform.

How did you come to work with Abbott Animation?

I’ve been working with Don (President) on and off for 20+ years. He led production for me when I was in advertising from 2002–2006.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Abbott Animation delivered results we could directly measure. Video engagement on our social channels increased by over 50% compared to our previous content. The explainer video they produced increased top-of-funnel conversion by more than 30%, something our sales team noticed immediately.We also saw a significant decrease in the time it took investors to either move forward or pass. Regardless of which way they went, having a successful explainer video allowed us to quickly communicate the platform's value and focus on explaining the market and the deal rather than the product.

How did Abbott Animation perform from a project management standpoint?

They always delivered on time. Any delays we experienced were always the result of our internal process rather than theirs. Their timelines were rock solid. We communicated via in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and emails or messaging apps.

First and foremost, their organization and structure are the reasons I’ve gone back to Abbott repeatedly across companies and industries for 20 years. While they’re very innovative in their creative approach, they understand the importance and impact of how they work and what they deliver on a business holistically.

I requested a holiday video for our Christmas song. This was my first video and I didn't have the vocabulary to describe everything I wanted. Abbott gave me the characters, scenery, and story flow to work with the lyrics of the song. And I needed all of this on a tight deadline, and they delivered.
