The project developed by ABAMobile: REUSEMED APP, consists of a mobile application and its management backend. It is the solution to connect users and managers of the reuse circuits of specific goods developed in the REUSEMED project cities.

The development of the APP and its management tool as proposed.

They always met their delivery dates. They showed a very strong ability to adapt to changes, since, in our project there were some functions that had to be adapted during the development.

We were impressed with their close contact with us despite working remotely.

Even every company that does a really good job like ABAMobile can find things to improve. It would be good if they try to give more advice on how to fullfil the need that you have. They do a great work in trying to understand the need and the desired solution by our company, however, they did not want to step onour ideas, that, with their experience could have been very beneficial.

I'm UX/UI designer in R+D department in a Madrid (Spain) located company.

For what projects/services did your company hire ABAMobile, and what were your goals?

We wanted to migrate out current application from other designer and ABA was the selected team due to their NFC knowledge and design track record. Our goal was to maintain the current code and continue developing new features.

We chose this developer due to their knowledge in NFC and app development track record.

We had the first meeting where we explained the project overall, the provide a detailed specification and they give us development times and price. The project was finished in time and cost.

How many resources from the ABAMobile team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Nerea herself was our project manager and we have an app developer dedicated to the develop of the new features and code maintenance.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

As our application is internal in our company, there isn't measurable outcomes.

Nerea has been very close to the project and in deeply contact with the UX designer to be able to understand the project scope through calls and emails. The tool she use to schedule the meetings -calendly, I think- is very friendly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think the thing has impressed me has been the implication with the project, They have tried to understand our system to provide the accurate solution.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We haven't reached to set some security in the application due to wrong behaviours which we cannot were able to handle with.

I’m the global B2B partnerships manager for a lighting solutions company.

What challenge were you trying to address with ABAMobile?

We needed to have a mobile app developed.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We began by briefing ABAMobile on our requirements, KPIs, processes, and marketing. They then went on to develop the front- and backend of the mobile app, which was made for both iOS and Android devices.

The app was created for sellers and customers. It enables them to look up certain information about our products. Through the app, they can download our catalog as well as pictures, descriptions, and specs of any of our products.

ABAMobile has since done several other projects for us, including scaling the app to be available in more countries and creating an automated catalog that pulls updated information from our databases.

What is the team composition?

I’ve interacted with three people from their team. Nerea (CEO) is my main point of contact.

How did you come to work with ABAMobile?

Several companies submitted their proposals for this project, but ABAMobile’s stood out. Though their company is small, they seemed knowledgeable and offered a good price. We decided to hire them based on that.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested €500,000 (approximately $565,000).

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in Q3 2016, and the project is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app has been highly successful in Iberia, which is why we asked ABAMobile to expand it to be used in other countries. It is now in 22 countries with 20,000–25,000 users. 

ABAMobile has the ability to quickly understand the problems presented and bring mathematic solutions to the table. We’re quite satisfied with the partnership.

How did ABAMobile perform from a project management standpoint?

They have great project management skills, and they are active listeners. From the messy presentations that we give them, they are able to put together an organized timeline. 

We communicate in person and via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Despite their size, ABAMobile provides excellent large-scale solutions as though they were a large development agency. They also bring a personal touch to their work; they make it a point to let us know that they’re thankful for our business and that we are important.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be more proactive in presenting results and asking for the next challenge rather than waiting for us to reach out.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Spend time figuring out the problem before presenting it to them. The more involved they are, the more they can bring different perspectives to optimize results.

We wanted to develop a mobile app for our users to access the information about our bus lines and to provide real-time information.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

ABAMobile was already working on the development of other Apps in our company in Spain.

We had a series of discover meetings to discurss our objectives. We provided the ABAMobile team with all the information we needed to be introduced in the App and they helped us to organize this information and create a design. In the following months, they delivered the first round of the app. They incorporated our feedback and delivered the revised version before launching.

We interacted with the CEO and a main developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The development of our App was linked to a contractual obligation that we were able to solve successfully. Although we have now changed some processes and not all the facilities of the App are working, this is a problem we have to solve internally. Despite this, they have continued to be in contact for anything we need.

The CEO and the developer were easy to communicate with and provided frequent updates. We had online meetings and phone calls as we are in different countries. Despite the distance, communication was always fluid and we never had any problems.

They helped us and explained every step taken in detail, as it was the first time we were carrying out such a process in my team, and they helped us make important decisions.

Overall the whole process has worked well, and the communication and support from their team has been outstanding.

The first versión of the app reached the 80% of our expectatives, which have been completely fulfilled in a revisión stage.
