Aalpha Information Systems runs the project well, and they're always on time. We communicate via phone calls and WhatsApp, and I talk to Pawan on Sundays.

No, I can’t think of anything they’ve done wrong.

The key is good communication. I’m a very reactive individual, and that’s my working style. Aalpha Information Systems is very similar. We communicate, and when Pawan asks for something, I give it to him.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’re happy with their work. We pushed the platform out too quickly, so we had ups and downs with its design. That was an issue on our side. When we ask for changes, their team quickly implements them.

We primarily communicate by email. The time difference makes a big difference for us. It’s helpful to have them working while we're sleeping. We send change requests and then they contact us when they're made. Usually, we hear back from them by the end of the next day.

We’re impressed by their speed. We would send over changes the night before and they would finish them by lunch hour the next day. They provide good service.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We pushed the product too soon, and our customers experienced errors. Their team could improve testing, which we also conducted. We sometimes made changes that would cause another feature to break.

Aalpha Information Systems did a really good job. We are satisfied with their work. We’re planning to launch the website in September.

Their project management was top-class. They were very cordial. It felt like we were family and weren’t just paying for a project. We were able to reach out to them at any time. The team did their work on time.

They listened to our requests and fulfilled them very well.

No, not that I can think of at the moment. I would recommend them because they responded to requests on time. It was unbelievable that we were able to complete the project in four months.

Be open and precise about what you want from them. Make sure the contract is well spelled out in terms of what you want.

I am a consultant at Broad Teleconsult. I am a math teacher and I will see anyone who needs help with that in a few countries like Nigeria, UK, and US.

Students have been in and out of school because of COVID-19 and aren’t sure if they will be starting in September. We are around to help students who might be struggling, especially those that are meant to be doing their GCSEs. Our goal is to help them in case they aren’t getting enough help.

They created a website and web app on which we can have calls. It has features that allow us to record the information about the person, or the client can record what they need. We can then make referrals based on those records. It is private and no one else can access it.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It has been great. We have launched and have also gotten people from Facebook and Instagram. People are connecting with us from all over. What we have right now is brilliant and we don’t have many complaints.

In fact, I am really impressed with the amount of work they’ve done and how precise it is. There are no glitches, and I don’t think there will be.

If there are any issues, they will correct things. We had done test runs of the whole thing before we launched. We found everything to be okay. So far, it has been good.

At the beginning of the project, we found there were things we needed to add and they were able to fit those in as soon as we let them know. We needed more privacy functionality especially for the doctors who need to ensure there is privacy for their patients, and Aalpha Information Systems India Pvt. Ltd was able to implement that quickly.

They do well when it comes to project management. We can easily get them on the phone or I can email them and they respond without delay. So far, I am happy working with them. There is a friendly atmosphere and I am happy with their services.

They work with doctors, teachers, preschool coordinators, guidance counselors, and opticians from our team as well. These specialists can give advice that Aalpha Information Systems India Pvt. Ltd can implement in the solution.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I like the design of the website; it's really eye-catching. I also really like the privacy functionality that they developed because we no longer need to deal with paperwork. Every client has an online file, making it easy to recall and assess their progress. So, we're quite happy with that.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was a bit of a delay, but now that we've done this once and they know what to implement, it will be easier next time. The delays weren't just their fault — it was a bit of ours as well.

Be positive and let them know what you want. It can be a bit confusing at the start. We had to sit down and talk about what we needed on the website. It was confusing until we started the test run and found more things that we needed.

If we had that discussion at the beginning of the engagement, we would have been able to write down what we wanted and hand it Aalpha Information Systems India Pvt. Ltd. That would have made it easier for them to fully understand what we wanted.

Instead, we just told them what we wanted, and they designed it. As we did the test runs, we found that there were more things we needed to add and they went back and made the changes, which is why there was a delay.

I’m the director of a tech design and construction company. Our team designs and develops products before following through with construction. Some of our projects include internet- and app-based products as well as physical development.

We didn’t have any of the specialized technical skills that Aalpha Information Systems India has, so we outsourced development to them. Their most recent project involved creating an optical Android app for our clients.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Aalpha Information System created a Unity-based camera app that allows clients to view our products in a different perspective. The solution has about 8–9 filters, showing a product in Pantone, inverted color, grayscale, and more. This can help clients see how people might view the product on different digital media forms.

There are at least 6–7 people working on this project.

We researched developers on Google to narrow down a few providers, including Aalpha Information Systems India Pvt. Ltd. Then, we chose them based on their experience and our budget.

The project has cost about $20,000 AUD (approximately $14,000 USD) so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started this project in late March 2020 and are working with them to build out a website for our app within the next month or so. That app itself took about 2.5 months to complete.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve released the app to 2–3 of our clients, and the feedback has been positive so far. Beyond that, we’ve done a lot of in-house testing throughout the project and on completion. It’s a fantastic app that works better than we thought we could achieve.

It was perfect. The only challenge was the time differences, but we sorted that out by marrying our afternoons with their mornings. We used email, voice calls, and Skype to communicate, which has been great.

It just felt like we gelled together from the start. They understood exactly what we wanted, and we didn’t have to spell out all of the nitty-gritty bits in the beginning. That made for a great match.

No, as far as I know, they haven’t faltered in any way.

They were able to build the online platform and deliver it when it was needed. Now the online platform is up and running. They were able to provide assistance at any given time.

I found them online. I was looking for the best IT company, and they were listed in the top ten in organic search.

The platform is working perfectly. I would say they’re 75% there. It has been a gradual process and we’re now promoting it.

Pawan was always communicating with me. They were always punctual and met our deadlines. They were there for every stage of the project so we could ask questions. Any time I call him up, even today, he’s attentive.

Pawan walked me through the entire process and educated me on how the software works. His advice was really valuable.

We’re a large business, but I can tell you that their work on the auditing firm’s website has helped us get more business. They helped boost our website on Google search results. If you Google our company name, especially in Saudi Arabia, we’re at the top, and it’s because of them.

Communication is very good. Whenever I need anything, I just send Pawan a message or give him a call. I receive everything on time. For example, five days ago, I had sent Pawan a message because something was not working; by the next day at noon, everything was fixed. Their service is really good, and that is why I have continued to work with them.

They provide great service. As an auditing company, we need integrity; that means that the vendor should be friendly, polite, and know how to assist us when we need them. Aalpha and Pawan have helped me and are there for me when I need them. We have had a very long relationship with this company.

They have already improved. We had some problems with our previous IT partner, and Pawan helped us fix everything.

We are a startup that is about a year old and we are based in Singapore. We mainly needed an online presence for marketing our presence and awareness of our products and getting in touch with us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They asked me for content, and I gave them a PowerPoint of what I wanted and then they came up with the structure. They helped me design the site. It is a pretty basic site, but it has a nice flow, it is mobile-friendly, and they put it in WordPress so that it is easy for us to edit and things like that.

They have been good in terms of turnaround and making changes. I liked the concept of the initial design, so I think they bring some expertise in terms of that as well. The only element of workflow would be a contact form that would come to our email address.

They have had more of an indirect impact. At least 10% of our leads are somehow looking at our site.

How did Aalpha Information Systems India Pvt. Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

I think it is more of an informal structure but that makes it more responsive. More structure would be good in terms of making a framework and the approach in the initial design phase to guide the end-user thinking. Then again, I like the informality because there is no limit on the changes I could make. I like that agility and that was good.

We used email, as well as a few calls through WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I think they get it more than many of their peers in India that appear online. There are a lot of website vendors in India. I am based in Singapore and if I used a Singapore based business, it would easily be one and a half times the cost as an end customer. Aalpha Information Systems Pvt. Ltd stood out amongst their peers when it came to professionalism.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really. I got what I wanted on time and within budget. There were a few grammatical errors that I think they overlooked such as spelling mistakes. It didn’t bother me, but it might bother some people.

Although I think they did well with their peers, I think they could do more when it comes to benchmarking themselves in comparison to competitors outside of India. They could improve themselves in that regard.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Build out the vision in your mind in terms of what you want it to look like, the design, and have the content ready to go in terms of pictures, wording, and text. I think that will save time.

Sometimes they would come back with a question and it would be a week before I would get back to them because I was caught up on other things.

If you are a small business and trying to do many things at once, I think having your content and some of your thinking done it will cut the cycle time and the back and forth down a bit.

Please describe your company and your position there.

We are specialists in the development of products to help manage vehicles fleets efficiently. My company is innovation, it is energy and talent, a non-conformist team constantly seeking out new and better solutions for intelligent and efficient management of transport, autonomous vehicles and IoT.

I am the Lead Frontend Engineer and the UX responsible at a vehicle management company. I manage the Frontend team which is divided between Spain and Mexico and I also coordinate with external companies when we outsource the development of certain projects.

What were your goals for this project?

The MIS tool had to allow the monitoring and scheduling of weather information, advertisement, ETAs and multimedia in vehicle screens and screens distributed in different locations.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We sent the project specification to different vendors and Aalpha gave us the most detailed and realistic estimation.

They made an estimation and split the deliveries into 4 different milestones. Each milestone we reviewed the status of the tool and provided feedback that was implemented by them.

What was the team composition?

We were in contact with their project manager for coordination purposes and they had a developer working on the implementation of the tool.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Even there is room for improvement in certain areas, overal, we were satisfied with the project delivery and so far we have received positive feedback on the tool.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The communication was fluid and they responded fairly quickly to our requests and feedback.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were flexible to implement certain modifications and additions even if we didn't explicitly specify beforehand. On the other hand, we decided the technologies and framework that had to be used and they were successful setting everything up even if they were required to use a different OS than usual.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We only provided wireframes, we did not provide real scale mockups and they were required to implement the interface taking them as reference, in some cases the received implementation had to be retouched by us in order to meet our expectations. There is also room for improvement in the code quiality, certain areas of the received code can be optimised.
