I'm the head of a flower art school with headquarters in Costa Rica.

What challenges were you trying to address with AACROM?

We offer very advanced courses, even a master's degree, and have students from all over the world. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided we needed to find a way to offer our courses online.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We work with AACROM to create a web-based platform that allows our students to access schedules, videos, books, and take courses, among many other things. In terms of technologies, they used Adobe, and the platform is based on Moodle.

What was the team composition?

We work with the general manager, a project manager, a project assistant, and 1–2 people helping with videos and content.

How did you come to work with AACROM?

They were referred to us by someone who knew about their work. 

How much have you invested in them?

We've spent about $15,000 with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in August 2021, and it is an ongoing collaboration.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The platform has been a great success; it has allowed us to continue providing training on the same professional level we used to inside our school. It is very practical and easy to use, and we have everything we need, which is accessible in a single place.

How did AACROM perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management has been great; they work very fast because we're in a hurry, but the quality is also great. Their team can also understand our ideas very clearly and translate them into the project. Our communications are very fluid; we use phone calls, email, WhatsApp, and in-person meetings. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their animation work is outstanding. I have also seen other courses they have developed for other institutions, and the quality of their work is always top-notch. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We're working on improvements for our platform related to automation and adding dynamism to the materials.

Be very clear on your needs to make a clear explanation so they can provide you with exactly what you need.

We work with them on the development of an e-learning platform for training and career planning.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The platform is based in Moodle, they also used Captivate for video. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with about 5 people.

How did you come to work with  AACROM?

We did some research and contacted different companies. When we asked for references and consulted previous projects, AACROM had the best previous work so we decided to work with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started our collaboration in May 2019. The work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve had great results, this is why we’ve decided to continue collaborating with them. The project runs perfectly and we have never had any complaints from our users. At the moment we have more than 1,200 users.

How did AACROM  perform from a project management standpoint?

They made a schedule that we used for the project, we had a project manager assigned and they always dealt with everything timely. We had some delays from our side but they were very flexible so everything worked great in that regard.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their skills impressed, they were very patient and worked with us on every step of the process. They also provided great training on platform usage.

AACROM helped us develop our corporate virtual education platform.

We worked with 3–4 members of their team.

How did you come to work with  AACROM?

Our company’s manager knew them personally. When this project came up, we had their contact. After requesting a proposal, we started working on the project. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We have been working with them since 2017 and continue our collaboration.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We are pretty satisfied with their work. They always have a quick understanding of our ideas and needs, which shows in the courses they help us develop.

How did AACROM perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate mostly via Whatsapp and email. They always provide attention and feedback when we have a course being implemented. Our teams also have meetings every once in a while. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to customize their services impressed us. They have really taken the time to approach our branches and all areas involved in the courses to have a greater understanding of our content needs. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

At some point, they showed us a technology that would allow them to create 360º images to include in the courses. I believe that they already have it but they could still get better at it.

I am a training specialist at an international development agency.

What challenges were you trying to address with Aacrom?

We had a joint training course with the National Firefighters Academy that was developed by them. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their team was involved in the process from start to finish, working with both our team and the National Firefighters Academy to develop the curriculum and then implementing it on the web platform themselves.

What is the team composition?

They have changed but we have worked with an average of 3 people. 

How did you come to work with Aacrom?

We met them via one of our partners, which is the National Firefighters Academy. They were the ones who had the first contact with them for a joint project we had so this is how we came to work with them. 

How much have you invested in them?

About 10,000 USD from our side.

What is the status of this engagement?

They have been working on this project since last year but started working with us directly about 4 or 5 months ago.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The training course hasn’t been launched yet so it is still early to see results, however, so far the quality has been great, they are very creative, receptive, always provide great advice and have been very generous. 

How did  Aacrom perform from a project management standpoint?

They provided a free training course for everyone involved in the project about Moodle, about the usage of the program, etc. They took the time for this and did it very well. Also, whenever we had any question they would always program a Zoom call. They were always in touch and willing to really understand our needs. All of this with a great attitude. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their warmth and personal trait with their clients, they provided a great personal attention, receptiveness, and a great follow up.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I couldn’t say anything, they are one of the best agencies we have worked with.

We have an e-learning project, and we hired them to develop some of our learning programs and to manage our Moodle platform.

We used to work with another company that employed some future members of AACROM. When they founded this new company, they made a proposal. It was very attractive so we decided to start collaborating with them.

We spend about $6,000 per year, plus additional services that we pay per hour.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in July last year and are continuing our collaboration.

They provide a great service. Whenever we need anything they are always available to solve it.

How did AACROM perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via email and phone calls. Their response is always immediate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When we migrated platforms, they did it in a seamless way—very fast and efficient. We didn’t encounter any issues and had the site working perfectly in just two days.

Their work is very good and they are great at adapting to the needs of the company.

I am a director of quality management at the Central Bank of Costa Rica.

What challenges were you trying to address with AACROM?

They help us with virtual training projects.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They have helped us develop courses, and provide consulting on projects we have developed ourselves, as well as provided follow up on our virtual campus. We use Adobe Captivate to develop the courses. They have also used different design and animation tools.

What is the team composition?

We work with about 5-6 people.

How did you come to work with AACROM?

Some of their employees used to work for a company that we worked with before. We knew that they were excellent professionals, so when they founded ACCROM we wanted to continue collaborating with them and changed our contract to work with their company. We like that they are very proactive, use the most modern tools for virtual training, and are young and creative.

How much have you invested in them?

We pay for hosting the virtual academy for about 8 million Colones per year ($13,400 USD). As for the virtual courses we have a contract of ours per demand so that changes a lot. It could be about 15 million Colones ($25,000 USD) per year.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve worked with AACROM for about two-and-a-half years.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We are completely satisfied with their work. They have helped us create very attractive courses. Even if there have been internal developments for the bank they have been so well received that we have even shared them with government institutions. The courses have been very successful.

How did AACROM perform from a project management standpoint?

We have never had any issues with quality or performance and they have always been available to solve anything that might come up. They provide added value all the time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have professionals of different disciplines so the services they provide are integral. They are well versed in design, technology, etc. Their services are truly comprehensive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We have grown together so we have mutual learning processes, and anything that came up was solved at the time.

I work in the fire department as an instructor.

What challenges were you trying to address with AACROM?

We hired them to help us out with a virtual course about first response to dangerous materials, focused on firefighters. This course has virtual files which are hosted in Moodle, so Aacrom provided us with consulting services so we could instal all the requirements we needed so the course would work fine in Moodle. 

This was part of a partnership with an NGO and the course will be conducted in different countries in Central America. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They used Captivate, a very versatile tool for the development of learning tools. 

What is the team composition?

I worked directly with the manager, two designers, and a Moodle expert.

How did you come to work with AACROM?

They actually found us and presented their portfolio, we liked their proposal and we found their developments very attractive to keep students engaged. We also consulted other companies but in terms of budget they were also the most convenient agency for us, they were very flexible to adapt to our needs and project. 

How much have you invested in them?

In total, the cost was between $2,000–$3,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them for six months on this project but continue our collaboration with other projects.

Their work was excellent. Their team was very flexible, and was always willing to find and present solutions to anything that would come up.

How did AACROM  perform from a project management standpoint?

We had a detailed schedule and they met everything on it timely. There were a couple of delays from our side as we requested changes, etc, but they were always flexible and adapted to our needs. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication was amazing. We were able to transmit all of our needs and they were always available.

I couldn’t say anything negative about the experience.
