5Gear Studios partnered with Southlake Health Foundation to conceptualize, plan, and produce, a film to initially be shown at the 2024 'The Future Is Now' Southlake Gala, in support of emergency care at Southlake Health.  The 5Gear team was incredible from the get-go. From site visits, to storyboarding, to script development, to casting, to shoot-day execution, to editing and post-production, they delivered on every deadline.  The entire process was so positive.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The successful film supported Southlake Health Foundation in raising $3.68 Million at the 2024 'The Future Is Now' Southlake Gala, in support of emergency care at Southlake Health.

The 5Gear Team are expert project managers.  Their detailed project plan, presented at the onset of our project, helped to guide us through the entirety of the production, and helped us know as clients exactly what our committments were to ensure a timely delivery of the project.  At every turn, 5Gear delivered on their committments. We were very happy with their work.

The 5Gear team feels like part of your team as the client, because of the passion and committment they bring to the project. They were so positive, collaborative, creative, and friendly.  They never let us feel the pressure of what was actually a massive project to be delivered in a very tight window of time.

We wanted to capture the reveal of the project, interview the parents before and after they saw the space and showcase the support from our sponsors to help us market our charity to other businesses who may be interested in supporting in the future.

We were given the opportunity to sit in the editing session which really helped speed up the process and ensured the final product was exactly what we were looking for.

Yes, they did and they were very responsible along the way. I appreciated the quick replies to my emails and the fact that everyone I dealt with was professional and communicative.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The videographer onsite was very meticulous - He took his time setting everything up to ensure he captured everything with the best lighting possible. The editor I worked with was fantastic and knew exactly what I was looking for and had great suggestions. The coordination and support I received from 5Gear Studios' manager was fantastic as well and the owner was very much so involved along the way to ensure my expectations were met.

Are there any areas for improvement or something 5Gear Studios could have done differently?

Honestly, no. I will be back in the future for other projects.

Scope of Work – 5Gear x Waterstarr

I brought 5Gear on board to capture our Waterstarr inauguration event and help us pull together a short video that highlights the day.

Their work included:

Filming the full event on-site and creating one video 
Editing 20+ video clips into one streamlined, 1.5-minute highlight reel
Helping us tell our story in a clear, professional, and engaging way
The final video was created for us to share across social channels and with key partners.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Delivered a polished 1.5-minute highlight video viewed and shared across multiple stakeholder and social media channels.

Condensed over 20 raw video files into one cohesive narrative, helping us clearly communicate the impact and energy of the inauguration event.

Enabled broader visibility of the Waterstarr launch, with increased engagement from partners and community members.

The 5Gear team was fantastic to work with — they were responsive, organized, and very in tune with our needs throughout the process! They vwent above and beyond when timelines got tight. In one case, they worked four days overtime to finalize and deliver a key video just in time for our event, allowing us to showcase it during the launch. Their commitment and flexibility made a big difference.
