We're a gaming PR/marketing agency operating in CEE, CIS and DACH regions. We service hardware and gamedev companies reach gamers and beyond. Our task was to deliver community driven www site that tracks gamers progress and awards them during weekly challanges.

For what projects/services did your company hire 2N IT?

We hired 2N IT to deilver the full custom made solution for a community site that tracks gamers progress through API of selected toptier games and shows results of progress and eventually allows administrators of the portal to awards most active gamers with hardware awards.

What were your goals for this project?

We were to build the site as quick as possible and as mostly accurate according to our needs. The developer team had to implement games API to the site and accordingly use the data to show gamers progress during usage of the site.

How did you select this vendor?

We had a couple of companies suggested and recommended and had to chose one. 2N IT seemed to know a lot about gaming industry, had good prices and had best recommendations so we went with them.

As described above the site had to through games APIs gather data about the gamers in-game progress and while participating in a mini-tournament of a weekly challange gamer had to beat certain scores. 2N IT prepared the whole site, implemented every changes we felt needed on the way and was fast on the response.

The team was about 3 people who were up for our needs but I did not follow who was responsible for what exactly.

The project was a big success since it delivered a unique custom mage solution that was appreciated by our Client and his business partners as well.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

It was very effective, 2N IT was quick to respond to any actions needed to be made. They made sure everything was arranged quickly and effectively.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I believe the understanding of the gaming industry was an important factor here. We had to have a partner who knows a bit about games to know what our project was about to achieve.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I think there's always space for improvement but with this case I can't think of any certain area that needed crucial improvement.

It was a successful project. We developed an MVP of the solution, and now we are continually adding features. The app was released to production.

We were using only a scrum master. The collaboration was arranged on Github, Slack, and Jira. We were working together remotely and in-site.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Very professional. We felt they were part of our team.

No. At least nothing I can think of after this project.

We’re in transition right now with our in-house development team and needed consistent technical support. We sought to leverage expertise from a few developers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’re developing a marketplace model with a payment integration in the works. It’s currently operating as a listings or classifieds platform at the moment, but we’re seeking to transform it into a functional marketplace.

The 2N team uses Ruby to build out the pages of the platform. We work in sprints, following a typical development cycle. While the work is still in progress, we plan to conduct testing after reaching a certain stage.

What is the team composition?

We work with a project manager who coordinates between the teams, and there’s one developer assigned to the work.

How did you come to work with 2N IT?

They came highly recommended to me by someone I know.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent somewhere around $5,000 to date.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in June 2019 and the work is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They’ve completed their tickets, which is our main focus. They’ve also been flexible in terms of our needs. Although inheriting a product is always daunting, they seem capable of delivering. I plan to continue working with them.

How did 2N IT perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project manager serves as an effective intermediary. He helps smooth out the communication process, which I really appreciate. The team has also given us additional support to make sure that nothing is lost in translation. Our teams communicate through email, Slack, and our sprint meetings.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’re always looking for ways to speed up the progress, but I think what they do is in fair time. They’ve also given us additional support, so I really have no complaints.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Since they’ll probably be working remotely, I would provide as much detail in outlining tasks so they can work efficiently and accurately. Keep the communication going to make sure that nothing gets lost in translation.

Our company is one of the biggest Real Estate consulting companies in the world. I am the main Market Analyst in Residential Team and I was inventing and describing all functionalities in the project.

First we cleaned and moved the database. Then we were rewriting an application. The application was supposed to present data and provide a way to insert data to database. In addition there were an export module, which allowed exporting data from database. Additional functionalities were:

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The main purpose of the project was met. The new application is much faster when it comes to exporting data and easier when it comes to inserting data into the database. It is still developed and the impact on the work will grow. We will be able to create better reports faster.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

At first, we spend too little time on planning, but we quickly changed approach and was able to provide better-suited functionalities later on. The deadline was usually missed, but it was not that necessary, because the application was fully functional all the time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They had a very professional approach when it comes to warranty. They quickly repaired all errors.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Because of the fact that we did not demand concrete dates as deadline the pace of improvement implementations was sometimes too slow. It could be improved.

2N came highly recommended from others in their local scene. Over and over their name came up when asking who is the best.

We started with explaining what the foundation of our business is, where we plan to go, and what we need to get there. The main factors that were repeatedly discussed were domain expertise, reliability, partnership, and confidence. 2N delivered and continues to deliver on all of the above and then some with the rails backend foundation they built from scratch, after we decided that is how we will get the most out of our partnership in the long run.

Anywhere from 3-5, depending on the phase of our project. This included the founder, senior level developers, and junior developers being taught the ropes. All in all, everyone was easily accessible, and had the knowledge/liberty to suggest what they believe is best for my business from a technical standpoint, to match our business needs.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They delivered on the only thing that matters - confidence. We went from an emergency situation/poor code to now knowing we have the best team (code quality/reliability/availability) to help take us to the next level. And because of this, we now have multiple apps within our business that they have built from the start and continue to manage for us.

Project management was exactly what we were looking for - from the planning, communication, feedback, and execution. Every week we are dialed in with what's priority, currently being worked on, needed from either end, and what's next. And if anything urgent popped up, they made it happen on their end to resolve, regardless of the time of day or day of the week.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Again, it all comes down to the confidence we have knowing that 2N is doing their job as part of our team. It truly feels like they sitting right next to us and allows us to carry out business objectives, without any concerns from the tech side of it.

There are no concerns on our end, 2N IT has delivered everything we asked for and continues to impress us as our business evolves.

They delivered whole application, helped with testing, and introducing quick changes requested by Appstore staff. Everything was delivered on time and on budget. The company was very flexible and quickly adapted to the changing reality.

We worked in scrums, using hangouts for calls, and slack & pivotal tracker for async communication.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

There was always someone available to talk to me. I’ve never felt ghosted by them. They listened to every detail I wanted to tell them and made sure we understood each other very well. They were not afraid to propose a different solution, even if they deviated from the original idea.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Probably, there is always something to improve, but I can’t think about anything in the case of 2N company. I was very happy with the outcome and would gladly work with them again.

We were looking for a trusted, flexible and local partner that is focused only on the backend.

We were able to launch the MVP on time and successfully run the first few complete online medical consultations within days of the product launch - payments, appointment booking, online consultations etc.

The product was a success, validating both our core hypotheses.

Hypothesis 1: We could get users to give us their data vs just skip / cancel (change behaviour)  Of those starting the flow with intent to cancel due to product build up, 66% used Liminal to delay their next order by providing usage data. Brands using Liminal achieved 25% reduction in churn. Having Liminal on site increased conversion to subscription by 60%

Hypothesis 2: Any reduction in frequency was offset by an increase in lifetime value (generate value for our customers, some of which we could ‘tax’ as income)  46% increase in LTV for customers using Liminal
