I am an owner/co-founder of a media production company. I serve as a producer/writer/director.

We are a small independent production company who wanted to film some of the scripts our team had created. We wanted to film 8 episodes of our web series to distribute online and at film festivals.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to film 8 episodes of our web series to distribute online and at film festivals. This involved working with 8 different directors on 8 different episodes. Style, professionalism and a high quality production was a must.

It was a comedic documentary tone set in an office environment so it was important that the team understood exactly how to deliver that style without sacrificing the tone.

We were recommended by a colleague to meet with them. We met with other production companies but we felt that 2 East 8th was the only company that really understood our vision. They seemed excited about the project and immediately had ideas of how to bring the project to fruition.

The web series was independently financed so the project budget was quite limited. But didn't want to sacrifice quality for cost. 2 East 8th offered us the most bang for our buck. We were able to get the exact look and style we wanted within our budget.

2 East 8th was very excited and hands on from the beginning. They sat down with us and listened to everything we wanted carefully. They weren't overpowering or dismissive. They were receptive.

They knew exactly how to deliver the look and style we wanted. They understood exactly how to deliver the result just from a brainstorming session. They had all of the tools and equipment needed.

Anytime they had a question or wanted to double check on a decision they checked in with us which we all really appreciated. Every stage of the process they were in touch with us and provided detail so there was no guessing what was happening or how it would turn out.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Since they were doing all of the editing and post production for us, they provided us with the footage so we could review all of the takes. We sat down together to pick out the best takes.

They provided us with a couple versions of rough cuts. We sat together and went through what we wanted changed. They also provided us with trailers.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The quality of the videos was better than we could have imagined! The editing was perfect and the videography was outstanding.

It looked cinematic and professional and had the exact style and tone we were going for. They understand the comedic element to our project and delivered that perfectly. They also provided us with a trailer which was great.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They were so easy to work with. The entire process was smooth. They were professional and easy to communicate with. They knew exactly what we wanted. And if they ever weren't sure of something, they asked the right questions until they understood.

During the editing process, if something was right they would work to find a solution. The feedback process, which can be challenging, was effortless. They were efficient yet thorough.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

2 East 8th Productions knows exactly how to deliver what the client wants. They are extremely knowledgeable on video production and filmmaking and offer the best quality deliverables.

They are willing to work with you to stay within your budget as well. Their ability to find solutions and bring their own creativity to the project is what sets them apart from other companies. The team really cares about what their work and you can tell in the quality of the services they provide.

We had no complaints about anything.
