We engaged with MODN to plan & develop the foundational elements of an upcoming project for our large enterprise client. The eventual project is due to replace our client's existing system, which has become unsuitable for their needs. MODN built the authentication facility of the app & the early-stage content editing functionality, which included a seamless preview mode and version tracking facility.

The experience of working with MODN was exemplary. Their attention to detail regarding the deliverables and their level of customer service were second to none. We always felt in the loop on progress. If any challenges presented themselves that even hinted at impacting timescales or our delivery path, MODN were forthcoming & transparent in what they were and how they intended to deal with them. The process was simply a joy from start to finish.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

For such a small team, their depth & breadth of knowledge is staggering. I would have difficulty putting a brief in front of them that they would struggle to deliver. This extent of knowledge & experience in such a small team gives them the capabilities of a larger company with the nimbleness & flexibility of a smaller one.

Are there any areas for improvement or something MODN Studio could have done differently?

My only criticism of MODN, which I share ownership of, was a very faint lack of sharing of the vision for the project from the outset. I felt MODN understood what was needed of them - they must have done as they delivered on it impeccably - I only feel we could have spent more time together in the early stages to better understand the destination before getting started.

I'm the owner of a Drupal development agency. We work with clients who are NGOs, Governmental or Education organisations.

For what projects/services did your company hire MODN Studio, and what were your goals?

We had a project to redesign our website but the project had stalled due to internal resources begin focused on client work. We hired the team at MODN to implement the front end of the site using the Tailwind CSS framework.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were aware of MODN through an international agency community and after conducting due diligence and talking with them were more than happy they had the knowledge and capabilities we needed to push the project forward.

We provided the team at MODN with a brief which included the design of all the components of the website front-end. They then took them and iteratively worked through them developing them using Tailwind CSS and AlpineJS.

Daniel was our main point of contact but Annie was also working on the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to launch our new site on our 6th anniversary which would not have been possible without the work from MODN.

We had weekly check-ins on progress and any queries in-between times were handled via Slack. After delivery, any bugs (and there were only 2 minor ones) were handled via Asana.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The quality of the delivered HTML/CSS components was at a level above our expectations.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing for this project, the delivered it on time, communicated well and managed expectations.

We hired MODN to redesign our website and help to launch our takeaway business.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They were recommended to us by a friend and after researching them, we liked the work that they had done previously.

The new website was built on Squarespace. We wanted it to be easy to use and update ourselves and help us to rank better on google.

They looked at our website traffic and we our now receiving more. We are getting more enquiries from it too. We like the look of the website too.
