This project had the purpose to prove that, through cloud modernization, the Bank’s Technology Center could reduce operational costs by up to 90%, releasing resources for innovation and future growth opportunities. By containerizing the applications and their dependencies for maximum portability and consistency, Zitec demonstrated that our client could achieve seamless, scalable deployments, setting the stage for the Bank’s future-proof digital transformation.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were allocating 95% of our total annual budget solely to maintaining infrastructure, with very little left to the development of new products. This high infrastructure cost limited our ability to innovate. The goal became to reduce these operational costs by up to 90%, freeing up more budget for innovative projects.

The solution showcased how containerization could accelerate app deployment, enabling consistent releases, reducing operational overhead, and automating resource management, ultimately enhancing scalability and security. It also demonstrated the potential to reduce product deployments time by up to 50% and lower operational costs by as much as 90%.

During our collaboration, we redesigned together with them various user interfaces, for mobile apps and payment terminals.

Gift vouchers on occasions like Women's Day or Christmas, along with birthday points, discounts or free shipping, are also offered.

The program extends beyond purchases, incentivising customers to engage with the brand on social media platforms. Points are awarded for various activities such as product reviews, newsletter sign-ups, social media interactions, or friend referrals. The program has redefined customer engagement, fostering not only customer loyalty, but also creating a vibrant and interactive community around the Ivatherm brand.

These backend services were either built in-house or third-party services. Multiple teams would need to collaborate to coordinate efforts so that new APIs would be ready by the time a service was ready to be launched.

The API server published an OpenAPI document which would be used to generate client libraries; one of which was generated for the web UI project.

We were able to go live on time and without any incidents. There were no major issues with the system. Fixes were continually shipped to production on time and customer feedback was resolved in a timely manner. It worked as per our engineering requirements and has helped our clients deploy their software to our hosting platform. The team at Equilobe has been instrumental in helping us get to this point.

Our primary form of communication is through Slack, and project management through GitHub and Linear. They perform well from a project management perspective. They consistently checked in with Fermyon's product team, consistently meeting their deadlines and responded to all of their feedback. When we needed to scale the team up or down to meet project requirements, they were able to do so quickly and efficiently.

First and foremost, I want to share something that, for me, is essential. Some issues were deep hidden differences between VM's and AKS containers but Zitec helped uncover all of them. In the end they deployed the service in a professional way with configurable and well structured automation scripts and also great monitoring tools!

We started the collaboration by discussing the issues our teams encountered in their day-to-day activity. The purpose was to see how software development and business process automation expertise could digitally transform the business, resulting in lower operating costs and more streamlined and automated processes.

Together, we decided that the initial focus should be on the lead generation and management process, as we were seeing a substantial influx of new leads, and using a generic CRM was no longer a viable option to handle them.

We chose Zitec as our partner right from the get-go, because they were able to understand and translate our business needs into practical and engaging software.

Although this was their first interaction with a legal funding company, they realized that this is a very competitive business and that time is our most important asset.

The software that the team continues to develop provides us with more time, efficiency, and agility in the end. One of the projects developed by Zitec is a PHP custom-built platform (known as Orion) which automated the lead intake activities, contract generation, and signing (via digital signatures).

Another functionality is the reporting and decision-making module, supporting managers to act swiftly on real-time information.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

• Lead generation and management data was centralized in a single software application (down from 4 tools)
• Contract generation time was reduced by over 30 times to less than 30 seconds
• The digital signing of contracts increased from less than 10% of all contracts to over 50%. Each contract signed digitally has a turn-around time of several hours vs. several days for paper-based contracts
• By building Orion on top of Microsoft Azure, we were able to comply with new, strict security policies and have a highly available and scalable foundation.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

One goal for the project’s first stage was to build a solid technical foundation that can act as a catalyst for the transition of Pegasus from a financial services company using technology as an add-on to existing processes to a company built around technology, a true FinTech.
