Zitec developed Mirro, a performance management tool that helps companies foster a culture of feedback and increase alignment with clear OKRs. It aims to provide a complete hire-to-retire employee experience, also solving day-to-day administrative tasks in a user-friendly manner.

Process optimization in cloud with Microsoft Azure
Based in Bucharest, Romania, GSX Value Chain is a new specialist consultancy that provides world-class service to international clients. A key client process at GSX is an algorithm that provides insight into its current acquisition needs and then delivers a more efficient way to fulfill the order internally.
GSX moved the process into Azure, with the help of local Microsoft Partner Zitec, which made a radical difference. “With our new software and the help of Azure, search can now be completed in 15 minutes,” confirms O’Connell. The solution is built on top of Azure and takes full advantage of its ability to work with key open-source software, like Linux, nginx, PHP, MySQL, and Redis, and most importantly for GSX, Microsoft Azure Database for MySQL.

Increasing transactions from product recommendations with Recommendations AI by Google Cloud
Vivre is the largest online store for furniture, textiles, and decorations in Central and Eastern Europe, present in 9 countries. Vivre has an offer of over 150 thousand products, over 1000 brands in its portfolio, and over 4 million orders delivered in 8 years.
Zitec supported Vivre with the implementing and configuring of Recommendations AI, Google Cloud’s latest AI solution that provides product recommendations for each customer’s preferences across all touchpoints, anywhere in the customer journey.
Results have shown an increase of over 15% in transactions from product recommendations. Overall, Recommendations AI has increased its efficiency with 50% from project-start and is expected to improve as Vivre continues to build and run new experiments.

Amadeus CARE ERP and CRM
Amadeus CARE (Customer Administration & Reporting Extranet) is a complex ERP tool developed by Zitec, dedicated to administering the flow of internal processes and managing reports with customers (economic agents) from the Amadeus commercial and travel sales network.

The Fundworks ERP
To provide businesses with speedy access to capital, The Fundworks needs technology powerful enough to process, track, analyze, and manage thousands of transactions every day.
The California–based financing provider worked with Zitec and Microsoft to build an enterprise management web portal powered by the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. The implemented solution gave its business teams, brokers, and merchants centralized visibility into submissions, offers, payments, and deal performance. Commitment to innovation in fintech: Instant Factoring, the first Romanian fintech, in Google cloud
Instant Factoring is the first Romanian online fintech platform for factoring, a start-up where Zitec acts as Technology Partner, functioning as an NBFI - non-banking financial institution. Its goal is to provide fast and simple financing via invoice discounting to SMBs in Romania and across the region, helping companies that would otherwise struggle to get financed to have a reliable and predictable alternative to bank loans.
Instant Factoring closed its first year of activity on the factoring market in Romania with a volume of over 1,930 fundings granted to small companies and micro-enterprises, worth 4 million EUR, and estimated ending 2019 with a 300 percent increase in customer portfolio, and a total funding volume of 15 million EUR.

Zitec designed and developed the new Caru' cu bere website and optimized its functionality in terms of user experience and usability.
Caru' cu bere is the oldest beerhouse in Romania and one of the main tourist attractions in Bucharest, with a history of more than 130 years.

Global Learning Semesters
As a special project in the Zitec portfolio, Global Learning Semesters is a software solution designed to respond to the challenges raised by the diversity of processes and the number of users involved in the administration process: students, parents, representatives of the partnering universities, as well as the Global Learning Semesters staff.
As part of this project, Zitec developed a SaaS CRM (System as a Service Customer Relationship Management), consisting of multiple integrated custom software solutions for University of Nicosia, Global Semesters, Intercollege and Medical School.

Latest Thinking
The project consisted of the development of a video platform for Latest Thinking, with the goal to facilitate access to world’s cutting-edge scientific research for everyone interested in science.

Zitec helps Strini Tires A/S expand business to B2C with Google Cloud powered eCommerce
Strini Tires A/S is a Danish company with over 40 years of experience in importing and selling a wide range of tires and rims by brands such as Pirelli, Semperit, Continental, General Tire or Michelin. Strini has an extensive network of B2B customers in Denmark, consisting of tires and rim shops, webshops, workshops, car dealers, and many others.
Zitec partnered with Strini Tires A/S to develop a Magento 2 eCommerce platform on Google Cloud and supported the Danish company with over 40 years of experience in tires and rims B2B commerce to expand its business to B2C.
The newly launched B2C web store manages frequent inventories and fluctuating delivery times, it integrates with multiple suppliers, allowing fast stock synchronization, and is able to offer for distribution a stock of 25.000 products.

Together, we decided that the initial focus should be on the lead generation and management process, as we were seeing a substantial influx of new leads, and using a generic CRM was no longer a viable option to handle them.

Although this was their first interaction with a legal funding company, they realized that this is a very competitive business and that time is our most important asset.
The software that the team continues to develop provides us with more time, efficiency, and agility in the end. One of the projects developed by Zitec is a PHP custom-built platform (known as Orion) which automated the lead intake activities, contract generation, and signing (via digital signatures).
Another functionality is the reporting and decision-making module, supporting managers to act swiftly on real-time information.

They made a complete marketing stategy based on our needs and goals. The plan included: brand awareness and performance campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook and Instagram Ads, Bing Ads, Youtube Ads, Programmatic and Direct Buying on local websites, Outdoor, Radio), social media strategy, email marketing. They also created content and visual elements (including videos) for our online and offline campaigns.

Zitec was tasked with rewriting the Android mobile application, which is mainly used for placing orders. The app has approximately 150 internal users, sales agents and managers, who use the application in their daily job.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We select 3 potential collaborators after a web search. We chose this vendor based on their past projects, and cost estimate.

The Android application was developed using CROSSWALK. Due to the incompatibility with API 31, we wanted to migrate the application to android.webkit. Zitec proposed that we rewrite the application altogether, following a modular architecture, in order to simplify future app updates.

CTO was the main contact person, then the head of Dev-ops and other resources like Security, collegues from dev-ops team and of course the project managers and account managers.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The solution we developed is using the full potential of the cloud services we decided to implement together with Zitec. For example, we had implemented a specific process of ETL which is using Azure functions together with Azure queues that ingest a huge amount of data in a very short time with a fraction of the cost. Also, the solution requires very little maintenance, so is cost effective from dev-ops as well.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow is very effective, we have dedicated persons for each topic we need to address. Of course, the CTO was involved in all major decisions about the architecture and design of various components.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Was very impressive the one stop shop kind of IT service provider. All our requirements and needs for our cloud infrastructure were delivered on time by Zitec.

Proactivity in terms of upgrading to the next generation of services, when they appear.

The Zitec team was responsible for Project Management, Development (mixed team) and Quality Assurance. During the duration of the project, they worked closely with our product team. The technologies used for Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android. The Zitec team had the main responsibility for developing the mobile application, while integrating it with the Rest API back-end which was developed in-house. The main features of the app are the common e-commerce features (marketplace, online commerce, push notifications).

The Zitec team has reached all development objectives agreed in the project kick-off.

The development was done by using Agile methodologies, initially Kanban and later Scrum. The communication with the team was done in Slack and the backlog and issue-management was done in Jira.

I was really impressed with the sens e of ownership and responsibility of the Zitec team. They were real team players who worked very well together with our own developers.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I cannot think at the moment of any areas of improvement.
Since they started working with Zitec, the client has efficiently managed high-volume transactions daily. In addition, the app they use has reduced errors in reports and deal flow. The team understands the client's needs and shares valuable recommendations that help the business in the long run.
