Sierra Flooring Website Redesign
Sierra Flooring came to us to help them give their website a needed design refresh. They wanted a focus on clean design focused around their line of products and better mobile optimization. Sierra Flooring was also looking to add the option for customers to pay their invoices online through their website.
We cleaned up the design for the Sierra website and put a strong focus on the products they sell. Helping customers explore and navigate through the various flooring options, we incorporated images, videos, manufacturers, and helpful information about each type of flooring.
We also added functionality that allows customers to use the website to pay for invoices online. This serves to help Sierra Flooring reduce some of their admin tasks and provide customers the flexibility and convenience of not having to come into the showroom or call to pay for their flooring.

Expert Training Solutions Website Discovery and Development
We met Gord from Expert Training Solutions through a Facebook Advertising Course YEG Digital hosted in January 2020. After that course, we connected with Gord and discussed his goals and vision for his Online Learning business. After learning what Gord was looking to accomplish, we spend the next few months working on an in-depth digital discovery and strategy process together. From this process, we created a clear outline of what the website needed to accomplish to help Gord grow his business. Once we had a gameplan in place, we set out to build a brand new website for Expert Training Solutions that took potential clients through the process Gord uses to help his customers and helps them self identify where they are at in their own online education journey’s and how Gord can step in to help them.
Our website discovery process is a great way for not only us but also our clients to get a really clear understanding of what they want their website to do for them and how it should function to help further their business. We completed a 30-day discovery process with Expert Training Solutions and at the end, had an actionable strategy on how to design the website to serve as an extra arm for Gord’s business. We knew we needed to have clear content, explanation videos, and a user-friendly journey through the website to help clients understand why they need Expert Training Solutions to help build their online education systems.
Following the discovery phase, our team set to work writing and editing great content for the “5-Step Process” of Expert Training Solutions, the main focus of the new website. We focused the design around leading people through the process and offering a clear understanding of exactly what ETS offers. With the help of explanation videos, helpful imagery, and other resources, we were able to build a website that Gord can now use as an effective sales tool for potential customers.

On The Spot Painting Website Redesign
On the Spot Painting came to us with the need to update and modernize their website. They offer a wide range of services and a number of unique services that set them apart from their competitors but their current site was not communicating this to visitors. We helped refresh their website to focus on their services, drive lead generation, and created an on-going SEO plan to improve their website ranking.
Project Goals
- Create a refreshed and modern design that focused on services offered by On The Spot Painting
- Make it easy for potential clients to get a quote for their paint project
- Improve website performance and outrank competition with SEO
For the website redesign, we focused on a clean design with lots of imagery. OTSp’s former site had information spread across many pages, so we rewrote the website content into easy to navigate page structure. We focused on ease of use, highlighted key services for On The Spot, and ensured there was a clear and easy call to action for website visitors.
For SEO, we focused on content first. Writing full page content for each of the service pages with FAQ’s on each page. We focused on keyword implementation, SEO page titles and descriptions, and Alt Image text. Moving forward, our 12 month SEO plan will focus on continued content development, local citation building, and a number of other key tasks to help improve website ranking on local search results and to outrank local competitors.
We created a new website for On The Spot Painting with a key focus on the services they provide and what sets them apart from other companies in their market. With a refreshed modern design and clean imagery, the new site makes it easy for visitors to find what they are looking for. Our on-going SEO strategy and implementation will help On The Spot Painting grow their business over the next 12 months.

GlobalTech Website Redesign
GlobalTech was in need of a website redesign that would showcase their services clearly for clients and communicate exactly what they can do to help potential customers. Their former site was slow loading and did not offer a good user experience. Improving the overall website performance and UX was our top priority.
The goals for this project were:
- Improve services descriptions and page content
- Drive users to a clear CTA to “Get a Quote”
- Improve overall load times
- Better user experience
- Mobile optimization
We focused the design on a clear, easy to read format. Focusing the homepage on the top services offered by GlobalTech and driving users to specific service-based landing pages for further details. We also highlighted the CTA on every page to encourage users to engage with GlobalTech to get a quote for their services.
We took GloabTech’s old outdated website and gave them a refreshed, smartly designed website that focused on how they could help their customers. By building a website around what the user needs to find and learn, GlobalTech can now use their website as a tool to enhance their business.

Divine and Free Spa
Divine and Free came to YEG Digital to help them build a website to coincide with the new storefront opening of their Spa. They had tried to set-up a website themselves and struggled to achieve the look, feel, and functionality for the website that they wanted their customers to experience. They came to YEG Digital to take over the website project and build out a great website that would help bring customers through the door.
Project Goals
As a brand new spa opening up, Divine & Free’s goal is to get in front of people and get people to come to try the new spa in town. They wanted to create a beautiful website that conveyed the tranquility of the spa and easily communicated their services to potential clients.
Our Solution
We worked with the team on image branding to curate images that convey the essence of the new spa. Once we had this nailed down, we designed a site that looks and feels calm and relaxing while providing the user easy access to important information including spa services, packages, and unique Medi-Spa services.
We also helped start their local citation SEO strategy by making sure their Google My Business was optimized and their business was listed on 100 local citation sites. This will help boost their results on Google and help them compete against their competition.
The Results
Enjoying a relaxing escape can start on your website. By making it easy for the customer to find services, book an appointment, and find the spa, we can ensure that their online experience translates to the bliss they are sure to experience once they walk through the spa doors.

Avalon Dental
Avalon Dental needed assistance in updating their old website to something more modern and fresh. They also were looking for help with on-going website maintenance and on-going website strategy to help gain more clients.
Project Goals
Avalon Dental came to YEG Digital with two main goals:
Refresh old website to something more clean and modern
Create an on-going website strategy to increase website users and ultimately convert them into clients
Our Solution
We took Avalon Dental’s old, outdated website and gave them a refreshed clean, modern, and mobile-friendly website. We integrated videos, online booking, and a services area to highlight their dental specialties. The new website showcases the dental office, why it’s a great place for patients, and helps connect website visitors with what they are most commonly looking for: online booking and information on available services.
We also set up an on-going website maintenance plan with Avalon Dental to help them with monthly website updates that they wanted us to take care of. In addition to the website maintenance plan, we developed some key website strategy tips for the Avalon Dental team to complete over time to help increase web traffic and turn that traffic into converting customers.

Daryl McIntyre Voice Talent
Daryl came to YEG Digital looking to take his website to the next level. His original site, based on the Wix platform, needed some overall design improvements and needed to improve its lead capture and conversion. We built the website on WordPress and worked with Daryl to optimize his content to really tell the story of who he is, his career, and what is next for Daryl Mcintyre.
We worked with Daryl to design a services based website that clearly communicates events Daryl can be hired for and why you want Daryl McIntyre to be a part of your next event. We created clear and concise content, built a clean and user-friendly layout that is easy to navigate, and created a lead capture form for booking Daryl’s services.

Quikcard
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/quikcard
Quikcard needed a website refresh that helped current customers access important information and to attract new customers and help them understand what services Quikcard could offer.
Project Goals
- Quikcard came to us with a number of goals they wanted to accomplish:
- Help customers understand their products better to help drive package sign ups
- Rank on Google against bigger competitors for their top products (ex. Health Spending Accounts)
- Tell customers about their newly designed mobile app to increase mobile downloads
Our Solution
In order to accomplish these outlined goals, we worked with them on a new website design that focused on improving user experience. We made the site easy to use for current members looking for providers, access to claim forms, and an easy sign in to their member portal. As well as for potential new members, we outlined the various products that Quikcard offers and improved the “Get Started” form to increase new leads. We also made sure to highlight their new mobile app first thing on the page to encourage current members to download as soon as they reached the newly designed site.
The keys to success for their first two goals ultimately came down to content and a comprehensive on-going SEO and digital marketing strategy. Quikcard outlined Health Spending Accounts (HSA’s) as the main focus area to increase business. We started by writing an in-depth page on all things HSA. Our goal was to provide a potential client with all of the answers they could potentially need when researching HSA’s. In addition, we ensured the content was SEO friendly and aligned their digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic to their HSA webpage.

Burke Group
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/burke-group
Burke Group came to us initially to redesign their website. They had an outdated, poorly performing website that was not ranking and was not getting great traffic. Their goal was to update the website on WordPress, improve functionality, and increase optimization.
Project Goals
- Burke’s goals for their website redesign included:
- Modern and clean overall design
- Better user-experience and easy to find information for customers
- Increased website traffic
Our Solution
Our website redesign included improving overall speed and functionality, increasing user-experience, and adding over 75 pages of content to their website. We focused on adding page content that explained to their customers what kind of products and services Burke haad to offer, as well as adding FAQ sections throughout the site, and adding forms on each product page to increase new leads.
Once the website redesign was complete, we turned our attention to improving SEO to start ranking on google, implementing digital marketing campaigns with custom landing pages on the website, implementing a new email marketing system for some of their larger clients, and initiating a new blog formula for the internal Burke marketing team to continue.

Coaching New Drivers
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/coaching-new-drivers
Coaching New Drivers is a new driver training program. They came to us looking to launch an affiliate program on their website that would help drive traffic and ultimately increase sales of the training program.
Project Goals
Coaching New Driver’s came to us with two main goals:
- Create a sales page for their affiliate training program
- Drive traffic to the website and increase sales of the training course
Our Solution
We worked with the Coaching New Drivers team to create the main sales page that outlined the details of their training course and affiliate program. We built the page as a leads funnel page with the goal to drive visitors of the website to purchase the training program. By including an overview of the course, highlights of the coaches, video testimonials, and new driver facts and statistics, we built a content-rich website that encourages visitors to “keep scrolling” to find out more information. All of the calls to action either drive the visitor further down the site or to the sales page to purchase the course content.
After the site launched, we worked with the Coaching New Driver’s internal team to build out a digital marketing strategy to drive traffic to the website. As the course covers content relevant throughout Canada and the United States, we created a digital marketing strategy that targets a relevant audience throughout the two countries.

Cranesmart
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/cranesmart
Cranesmart, like many of our clients, came to us with a website that they couldn’t edit. They needed a website refresh that provided additional information to their clients and also allowed them to manage the back-end of the website to keep content up to date.
Project Goals
Cranesmart came to YEG Digital with two goals:
- Redesign their current website so they could edit and update content once the website was launched
- Create a digital marketing strategy to help grow their business
Our Solution
We worked with the Cranesmart team to redesign their website on the newest WordPress platform. We built comprehensive pages for their products, systems, and applications that allow potential customers to find all of the information they need quickly and efficiently. Post-launch, we walked the Cranesmart team through their easy to manage back end so that moving forward, they were able to make any necessary changes or edits to their website.
After the website launched, we sat down with the Cranesmart team to come up with a digital marketing strategy that would help bring traffic to the new website and ultimately, help them attract new customers to their business. Cranesmart operates all over the world, so our digital marketing strategy started with a focus on local campaigns, with the plan to extend to global campaigns once we gained a good understanding of initial campaign results and performance.

Inclusion Alberta
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/inclusion-ab
Inclusion AB needed an additional microsite to manage their donations. We took a static and out-dated landing page and created a complete site dedicated to helping educate about donations, manage the booking process, and automate the communication.
Project Goals
Inclusion AB came to us needing a solution to help manage and automate their donation booking process. Their top goals were:
- Educate people about what can be donated, how scheduled pick-up donations works, and where donation bins are located
- Improve the booking process for scheduled donation pick-ups
- Automate the communication when a scheduled pick up was booked
Our Solution
To kick off this project, we sat down with the Inclusion AB team to get a solid understanding of the process they currently had in place for managing their donation bookings. Through this, we found they were running a very manual process that involved lots of staff hours. We were able to create an entire microsite accessible from their main site that the main goal was to address all of the information around donations.
Through the site, potential customers can schedule a pick-up at their home for their donations, find a donation bin located near them, and learn more about what can be donated. We created a completely automated process to schedule a donation pick up. This included auto-emails, reminder emails, and multiple text message reminders to customers. The “Find a Donation” tool we built allows customers to search for bins located near their homes if they are not on a donation pick-up route.

NCSG
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/ncsg
NCSG needed to update their old, out-dated website to a new mobile-responsive website that could help them grow their business through their multiple locations.
Project Goals
NCSG came to YEG Digital because their website was old, outdated, and far from mobile-friendly. They needed an update. Their goal was to create a new website with a clean and modern design that was completely optimized and mobile-friendly.
Our Solution
We worked with the NCSG team to take their old website to a new fresh version. With a focus on design, mobile use, and optimization we created for them a brand new website. NCSG is a multi-location business, so we also focused on ease of use for each location and highlighting essential information on the main page of the website.
Once their new website was launched, NCSG asked if we could continue working with them to write additional website content, to help develop their Google My Business listings for all of their locations, and to build out an Intranet for their internal employees. We continue to work with NCSG to help their business grow.

Kendal Lighting
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/kendal-lighting
Kendal Lighting needed to update their old Drupal website to a more modern, user-friendly, and easy to update WordPress website. We created a clean and easy-to-navigate for both front and back-end users.
Project Goals
Kendal Lighting’s main goal was to have a website that was easy to use from a front-end navigation perspective and was easy to manage and keep up to date from the back-end.
Our Solution
Kendal Lighting approached us needing to update their old Drupal based website. Their old website was difficult to navigate from a front-end users perspective. It was challenging finding products and did not visually communicate the Kendal Lighting brand very well. In addition, it was difficult for back-end users to go in and update inventory, information, images, etc.
We refreshed the overall look and functionality to create a front-end website that is easy to navigate, highlights top Kendal Lighting products, and is easily searchable. In the back-end, we created a customized integration that allows Kendal to mass upload information and it will all be auto-filed into appropriate fields to push to the front-end.

BeLeaf Pharma
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/beleaf-pharma
BeLeaf Pharma was a new start-up company that needed help with their business right from the start. From brand identity and web design to market research, content writing, and digital marketing strategy, we’ve formed a partnership with this client to help their business launch and grow.
Project Goals
As a new player in the skincare industry, they knew they needed a strong partnership when it came to marketing. On their long list of goals for their launch, their top priorities included:
- Integrate their logo into a clean and modern brand identity for their digital presence
- Assist with market research in the various countries their products would be launching and help write content
- Create a multi-site redirect website platform responsive to where in the world their website visitors were coming from
Our Solution
Our initial work with BeLeaf focused on working with them to gain a solid understanding of the skincare industry around the world. We worked on market research in the various countries that BeLeaf was looking to launch to understand product popularity in those markets and who their competitors were. From there, we assisted in writing some great content for their website.
The BeLeaf website has a unique need in that it needs to be responsive to where in the world the visitor is coming from. Because each country has different products and different rules around skin-care marketing, we needed to come up with a geo-redirect solution based on the IP of the web visitor. Included in that, was the need to translate the website, again based on your location in the world. This was quite a complicated back-end set up but once it was set up it created the automatic geo-redirect and language translation based on the location and language preference of each individual user.

Cole Hofstra Photography
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/cole-hofstra-photography
Cole Hofstra is a Calgary based wedding photographer that needed to take his business online. In a highly competitive market, Cole wanted a brand and a website that would help him stand out from the competition.
Project Goals
Cole Hofstra came to YEG Digital looking to take his wedding photography business online. He wanted to build a brand that would showcase his work and create a website that would show clients his portfolio, share a bit more about himself, and ultimately lead to more bookings.
Our Solution
We worked with Cole to build a clean and simple brand for his business and built a website that focused heavily on imagery. Understanding the audience that Cole was trying to capture, we knew we needed to create a visually appealing website that encouraged visitors to look through Cole’s portfolio.
As a photographer, Cole constantly has new content to upload so ensuring that the website management was easy to use was key to helping Cole keep his website up to date with fresh content and images.

Edmonton Air Show
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/edmonton-air-show
The Edmonton Airshow needed to take their website from an old, out-dated platform and create a new site that communicated essential event information to attendees.
Project Goals
The Edmonton Airshow is a long-established event in Edmonton that needed assistance with their online presence. Their goals were:
Update old site from an out-dated, non-functioning CMS platform
Redesign the website with an easy to navigate front end customer-facing layout and an easy to manage back-end editor for their internal team
Create a content strategy for event ticket buyers
Our Solution
We took their old CMS site and created a new, easy to navigate WordPress site. From the front- end-user experience, we focused on highlighting important information for ticket buyers and event attendees. From the back end, we created an easy to manage editor tool that would allow the Edmonton Airshow Team to easily edit and manage their website content.
Once the site was up and running, we worked with the Edmonton Air Show team to create a content strategy that would provide unique, important, and interesting content for their event attendees. This strategy included social content, blog content, and email newsletters.

Canadian Skin Cancer Society
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/canadian-skin-cancer-society
The Canadian Skin Cancer Society had an old Wix based website that they could not access to update any content. They needed a platform where they could easily manage the back-end of the website while maintaining a user-friendly front-end.
Project Goals
The Canadian Skin Cancer Society really had one goal when we initially met with them: be able to manage the website themselves. Their site was originally built on a Wix platform, but they did not have the capability to log in to edit or manage any of their own website content. They wanted a new website that had a clean, user-friendly interface with an easy to manage backend experience.
Our Solution
We worked with the Canadian Skin Cancer team to migrate the content from their old website to a brand new WordPress website. We focused on easy usability with a mobile responsive design for the front-customer facing website. Ensuring we kept information in an easy-to-find format so that visitors could find exactly what they were looking for as soon as they visited the website. We also worked with their donation platform integration and the integration of the Google Apps Suite.
Knowing they needed an easy to manage back end, we built out a custom dashboard on the back end of their new WordPress website to ensure they could log in and easily manage all of the content on their website. We also spent a day with their team post-launch to train any necessary personnel on how to log into the back end of the website and make any changes that they needed. This allowed them to have the confidence and ability to manage their own website without having to always rely on us to make changes.

My Maz & Brain Campaigns
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/university-hospital-foundation-brain-campaign
The University Hospital Foundation Brain Campaign needed a website built as an information hub and as a portal to collect online donations to help support their Brain Centre and it’s affiliated programs.
Project Goals
The University Hospital Foundation Brain Campaign had their creative identity established, but needed to create a website where they could share more about what the UHF Brain Centre is working on and the ability to collect donations online from donors.
Our Solution
YEG Digital worked with the UHF Brain Campaign to build a website that served as an information hub for the various programs and initiatives that make the UHF Brain Centre a world class facility. In addition, we added online donation functionality to enable donors to donate to the Brain Campaign directly from their website.
Design-wise, we added in some movement, videos, and some custom functionality to create a clean and informative website. As always, with a back-end that is easy to manage to allow the University Hospital Foundation team to be able to edit the website and keep all of the information up-to-date without any headaches.

Turnaround Rescue
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/turnaround-rescue
Turnaround rescue needed a website designed to help connect their brand and their business to potential clients.
Project Goals
Turnaround Rescue approached YEG Digital to assist with two main goals:Create a logo and brand identity for their business
- Create a website to connect their new business with potential clients
Our Solution
First off, we worked with the Turnaround Rescue team to gain a solid understanding of their business and the potential clients they were looking to connect with. From there, we worked with our graphic design team to create a simple and clean brand identity and logo.
Once we had the visual identity established, we created a clean and information based website that helps to communicate not only who Turnaround Rescue is but the essential training and services they offer in the field of emergency rescue. By creating a website that serves as an information hub, we were able to give them an added sales tool to use when talking to potential clients.

Gem Gallerie
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/gem-gallerie
Gem Gallerie needed a website to take their business online. We worked with them to build the overall visual identity, website design, and content creation.
Project Goals
Gem Gallerie is a local Sherwood Park business that came to YEG Digital to help them take their local business online with a well-designed website. Their goal was to build a website that helped connect with customers in the digital space.
Our Solution
We worked with Gem Gallerie to first identify an overall visual identity for their new website. This included colours, fonts, imagery, etc. From there, we put together a content plan on what exactly they wanted to feature on their website. We helped layout the sitemap structure, write any necessary content for the initial website pages, and got them started with a blog.
Additionally, we provided some strategy around their Google My Business listing and helped them optimize their listing so that Gem Gallerie would show up in the map pack for local search results to help drive organic traffic to their website.

Independent Jewellers
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/independent-jewelers
Independent Jewelers came to us to help put together a digital marketing and website optimization plan to increase their brand awareness and out-compete local competitors.
Project Goals
Independent Jewelers came to us shortly after they had revamped their Shopify website. Now that they had a functioning eCommerce website, they needed help with some digital strategy. Their main goals were:
- Increase overall website traffic
- Increase brand awareness and identify unique brand differentiators to help set them apart from competitors
- Create a 6 month digital marketing strategy that would aide in the first two goals and also increase online purchases
Our Solution
Our partnership with Independent Jewelers started with an in-person meeting at their showroom. Being the largest jewelry showroom in Canada we wanted to see this in person! A key to creating a solid digital strategy is to know what sets you apart from your competitors and showroom size is definitely one for Independent Jewelers. We sat down with their marketing team to outline some additional brand differentiators and discuss how their digital marketing could work hand in hand with some website optimization to achieve their outlined goals.
We worked together to outline a 6-month digital marketing plan that included Google Display campaigns, Google Merchant Shopping Campaigns, Google Search Ads, and overall website optimization. We pair this strategy with monthly meetings to review, analyze, and recommend adjustments to campaigns in order to improve performance and learn what campaigns are showing success for the client.

Vision Gallery
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/vision-gallery
The Vision Gallery came to YEG Digital to convert their old, poorly functioning site to a modern, mobile-friendly WordPress website.
Project Goals
The Vision Gallery came to us with three main goals:
- Convert old HTML website to a new WordPress Website
- Improve conversion optimization within the site
- Compete in local search rankings for multiple locations
Our Solution
By converting their old, out-dated HTML website to a new, optimized WordPress based website, we were able to see an almost instant improvement in their overall website performance. Being a multi-location store, we needed to not only focus on highlighting their various service locations to increase foot traffic to those locations, but also improve their online form conversions. We focused on optimizing each product page with a lead form that was searchable from the main page.
We worked with the Vision Gallery to improve site content, implement some SEO strategy, and consulted on some digital marketing strategy that would improve their overall search results ranking. In addition, we worked with each of the Vision Gallery’s locations to optimize their Google My Business listings to also improve search rankings and appear in the Google Map Pack.

Dreams Take Flight
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/dreams-take-flight
Dreams Take Flight needed a solution to integrate their 10 separate chapter websites into one integrated website that gave access to each individual chapter to make content updates and edits.
Project Goals
Dreams Take Flight came to us with a complex integration need. They had 10 separate chapter websites that were not working in conjunction with each other. Their main goal was to take the 10 websites and integrate them into one front-facing website. From there, they wanted to grant access to each chapter individually for them to go into their page and make any necessary content updates or changes.
Our Solution
The Dreams Take Flights websites were all built on an old version of WordPress. Our first order of business was to take the content from each of the separate websites and migrate it into one parent website. From there, access was granted to each chapter so that they could log in to edit their page, but not make any changes anywhere else on the website. This was a lot of custom accessibility set-up on the back-end of wordpress to manage the custom access levels.
In addition to the accessibility build-out, we also integrated a custom donation platform within the site that allows donors to donate directly on the main website. This giving platform also manages monthly automated donations, yearly donation tax receipts, and donor thank you letters.

Haven Shop
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/haven
Haven Shop needed a strategy on connecting their analytics from their main website to their Shopify site and a way to use their analytics to closely measure and report on digital ROI.
Project Goals
Haven Shop is an online eCommerce retailer and came to YEG Digital with a need to connect the analytics from their main site and their Shopify site and to then use those analytics to analyze shopping behaviours, conversion metrics, and overall ROI.
Our Solution
We worked with the Haven Shop team to seamlessly combine the online analytics from both of their site feeds into one dashboard where they would have a high-level look into the digital performance of their online business.
We helped them create a digital reporting strategy to help measure site traffic, track shopping behaviours, track cart abandonment rates, study top visited pages, report on conversions, and ultimately have a clear insight into their overall ROI.

AB Corridor
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/ab-corridor
The Alberta Innovation Corridor needed a website to serve as an information hub for their multiple initiatives. We helped create a dynamic landing page that clearly communicates what the AB Corridor is all about.
Project Goals
The AB Corridor came to YEG Digital with a goal of designing a single-page landing page that would help explain the various initiatives and priorities of the AB Corridor partnership and could serve as an information hub for future projects.
Our Solution
We met with the AB Corridor team to gain a solid understanding of the role of the partnership team – consisting of Calgary Economic Development, Innovate Edmonton, and Platform Calgary. Once we had a clear understanding of the initiatives of the AB Corridor, we set out to develop and design a dynamic information based website that the AB Corridor could use to communicate its purpose, ongoing projects, and important updates.
The result is a clean and simple, landing page with some unique visual elements that clearly outlines who the AB Corridor is, what their goals are, and where they are headed in the future

Shovel Ready - City of Edmonton
Project: www.yegdigital.com/project/shovel-ready
This City of Edmonton initiative needed to translate their brochure to an online, one-page landing page. We took their static content and created a dynamic, information-based website for them.
Project Goals
The City of Edmonton is heading the “Shovel Ready” initiative and needed assistance taking their information brochure and translating that brochure to an online webpage they could use to send to potential supporters. Their main goal was to have a one-page site that housed all of the essential information regarding the initiative.
Our Solution
Having a clear deliverable with ready-to-use content, we were able to turn this project around quickly for the client. YEG Digital essentially created an “online” brochure landing page that communicates all of the information essential to this initiative.
We created a one-page scrolling landing page that ends with a lead submission form to capture information from potential supporters. This site can also be used by the City of Edmonton to garner potential partnership opportunities in support of the Shovel Ready initiative.

The main deciding factor was the competance they were able to demonstrate, integrity to provide the best solution and value, and ability to deliver on what they said they could with other samples of work they completed.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Key deliverables included: landing page, review of business concept, model, and best tech solution to fit the current business stage, site development which included listing, automated responses, answer robot, e-commerce, membership profile, search filters, Affiliate integration, SEO, site revenue strategies.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I mainly worked with one person, but had some contact with a second back-up person. I appreciated this as it provided consistency, clear communication, and streamlined the process. I felt I got the attention needed to deliver the vision I had in mind.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Just launched in October and have gained new members that are considered larger clients. This is a big win for my business and they were impressed with the flow, look, and experience with the site.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
Project management was managed with a transparent tracking and communication system that kept project goals, issues, timelines, budget on target. Also conducted zoom calls to review the project, explore opportunities, and move the project forward. Responsive for urgent cases.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They connect with people on a human level with a real focus on the best solution to fit our business...not their pockets. Integrity and working hard to help their customers succeed. Great team!
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Sure. There were some timeline issues due to unforeseen issues with the code, however, they kept me in the loop with what was happening, set out solutions, and delivered in the end.

Paul worked for us as a online marketing consultant. He helped me come up with a blogging and recipe strategy that has launched us to the top of the google search rankings for high end BBQ and BBQ seasoning sales in our market.
What were your goals for this project?
I wanted to rank well on google for SEO when people are looking for high end BBQ's and BBQ seasonings. We have sold products across Canada thanks to his help and our strategy of regular posting, blog style and linkback and partner strategies.
How did you select YEG Digital?
I have known Paul for over 10 years because we both work in the marketing space and have become good friends, so when it came time to look for advice on online advertising, there was really only 1 choice.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Paul did a competitive analysis of other sites with similar goals to mine and provided me with a comprehensive strategy on how to achieve my goals using similar and improved strategies to the ones that they were using online. Please describe your company and your position there.
Motley Que. We are an Alberta based BBQ company mainly focused on a line of BBQ Sauces 7 Seasonings
For what projects/services did your company hire YEG Digital?
We really wanted to refocus ourselves. Our product line wasn't consistent & we found ourselves not knowing what our identity in the market place was & should be. We asked their help in getting us focused and how to proceed with upcoming product launches.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to have a strategic plan and outline for releasing new products as well as what our social media content should focus on.
How did you select YEG Digital?
I met Paul at a BBQ event and found his passion to learn new things about BBQ and knowledge of marketing to be thought provoking and almost the target demographic for clients I was looking for. It made sense to look at their company as the knowledge he showed about marketing made me confident in hiring YEGDIGITAL.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Members of the YEGDIGITAL team sat down with me multiple times to discuss what my business was doing. We covered what has worked, what hasn't & what they suggested we change. They gave me hard data on what I was doing right & wrong as well as a great simplistic view as to how I should look at my my past, current & upcoming marketing and retail strategies.
What was the team composition?
While I mainly worked with Paul, there was/is a mix of other staff joining us. Being as Paul is personally interested in BBQ, the third person has given me a perspective from someone with "BBQ blinders" on. The person outside of our BBQ bubble often has a way to compare ideas to products in different markets.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Working with YEGDIGITAL has left me feeling prepared for the future. It has helped me to see the bigger picture and not focus on "not making mistakes." I believe their input on how we deal with social media has already helped us gain and keep our followers engaged but has left me with a strategy to keep attracting new followers. The help with the retail strategy has given me confidence and structure that is already showing results & will undoubtably continue.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
I find that I often try to do things too fast and when the time is right, they keep up with me but also they are helpful in "reigning me in" when I fall back into old habits.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Working with my abilities. I'm of an age where I use the internet and online shopping steadily but as a retailer I don't always understand why companies do the things they do. YEGDIGITAL has been a translator of sorts; converting why I buy the way I do into why I should do certain things to sell certain ways. They've helped me bridge the gap between the generation I am & the generations that my customers are/may be.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Not yet.

5onFriday is a platform for sales professionals to practice their pitch. I am one of the co-founders.
For what projects/services did your company hire YEG Digital?
5onFriday.live was a very basic WordPress site that need an overhaul. It was missing overall branding and provided little value to someone visiting.

They setup and configured Elementor and built out new pages and forms for out site.
What was the team composition?

Having the Elementor solution has made it incredibly easy to update the website and make any basic or major design changes without needing a developer.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
The project management was great.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their ability to turn around an estimate and then execute the work. They were also very transparent with what would be entailed. No surprises.

Describe the project in detail.
I had already created a website of my own so the basics of what I wanted on the new version were already there. Paul and Kelsey helped streamline and improve on what I had started.
They also came up with ideas I had not considered to improve the overall look and flow of my site. A couple of meetings and a few emails were all it took. They were quite intuitive.
What was the team composition?

Please describe your company and your position there.
We provide small to mid-sized businesses with Marketing strategy, guidance, and execution. We work with a number of clients across Western Canada. I am the President and Principal Consultant of the company.
For what projects/services did your company hire YEG Digital?
A larger client was struggling with an old clunky website. There was no strategy, no analytics, no metrics, poor search results, and little to no optimization. Without a new website, the client would fall further and further behind their competition.
What were your goals for this project?
The goal was to efficiently implement a new website that is built to perform not only today but into the future. The website needed to have metrics, analytics, appear in search results across Canada and the US and have the best customer experience in comparison to local competitors.
How did you select this vendor?
I've had the pleasure of working with YEG Digital on a number of projects big and small. When this project came across my desk, I knew YEG Digital was the group for the job.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
They designed, developed and launched a new website for the client. The offered consultation, strategy digital solutions and more to various divisions within the business. They also walked the client through implementation and launch offering training for backend management, hosting services and ongoing support and consultation.
What was the team composition?
The project team was composed of two individuals (Paul & Kelsey). Paul lead the project from conception through to launch and Kelsey supported from an administration aspect. The size of the team remained consistent throughout the project.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
Our solution was developed and launched ahead of schedule. The leadership team was so impressed with the results we were offered additional work and consultation.
While the solution is only a few months into the deployment, the client has already seen an uptick in local business leads, an increase in website visits and a decrease in phone calls to administrative staff asking questions the website now answers.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Project management was seamless from start to today. The team effectively communicated with both myself and the client throughout the entire process. YEG Digital made themselves available to us through a variety of channels throughout the build as well from email to phone to text to video chat to face-to-face meetings. This helped move the project forward and minimize downtime.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
We continue to find YEG Digital's expertise the most impressive. We continue to throw problems and challenges at them and they are somehow able to always find a solution that works. We have yet to give them a problems they haven't been able to solve. Very impressive.
Are there any areas for improvement?
There is very little they could do to improve. This was a knock-out project that was deployed ahead of schedule and under budget.

Web Design for a Local Scotch Whiskey Club
“They make the whole process so easy that it doesn’t even feel like work.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
My organization is called the Edmonton Scotch Club and I am the president.
What challenge were you trying to address with YEG Digital?
We just wanted to get a little bit more publicity and get our name out there a bit by creating a website. In addition, we wanted people coming to our site to have an easy experience finding what they needed and for our site to look good while they’re doing it.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We don’t have a lot of technical experience on our team, so when we started, they just asked what we were looking for and what sort of goals we had in mind. From there, we worked towards what we wanted as a final product and he provided us with ideas from his experience on what works well and what doesn’t.
They used WordPress for our site so that it would be user-friendly and easy to edit. Whenever I have any issues, I will fire off an email or a text about it, and they’ll either fix it themselves really quickly or show me how to do it for future edits, and I believe they chose WordPress to allow that option.
What is the team composition?
I just work with Paul (CEO, YEG Digital) directly.
How did you come to work with YEG Digital?
We were recommended to go to YEG Digital by word of mouth, from a mutual friend of ours. We looked at their websites and saw that they were really clean and professional-looking, which was exactly what we were looking for.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent a little less than $5,000 in total.
What is the status of this engagement?
I believe we worked together on the two websites we’ve completed so far from 2017–April 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The website is really clean and not busy, which were my main concerns. It looks a lot more professional than a lot of the websites I deal with. When you click on the site, it’s clear how to find the information that you need, and it’s also clear that it was designed that way specifically.
How did YEG Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
Everything was done in a very good amount of time, and they gave us very realistic expectations about how long that would be. They’re also extremely responsive when it comes to upgrades that I ask for from them. I almost always have a fix to the problem or a response about when we can figure it out within an hour of contacting them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They make the whole process so easy that it doesn’t even feel like work. We didn’t have a lot of extra bandwidth when we started the project, so that helped us a lot.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything he could do differently, whether it’s response times or the appearance of the website itself. I have no negative feedback on the experience whatsoever.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I guess my advice would just be to trust his professionalism and experience. He has seen pretty much every issue you could have, so not only does he have your best interests at heart, he has the knowledge to achieve those goals.

Website Redesign for Boutique Photography Studio

the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I own a boutique photography studio specializing in weddings, boudoir, and headshots.
For what projects/services did your company hire YEG Digital?
I hired YEG Digital initially to help me with management of my website being hosted by a different company as I was encountering problems, and in the end I ended up hiring Paul to re-design my entire website and he now hosts and maintains it.
What were your goals for this project?
I wanted a website that was simple to navigate, visually very appealing to showcase my photography work and attract a modern client, and that I would be able to update the content on myself. I wanted to maintain the content from my current website blog to ensure my SEO ranking wasn't affected, but to still incorporate that content and showcase my newest work first.
How did you select this vendor?
I was referred to YEG Digital by another photographer who had used Paul to design their website. I reached out for referrals because I was specifically looking for a company that would work with me to create a website that I could have a lot of input into, and be able to have the ability to edit on the backend myself after the fact. I was happy with my initial consultation with Paul and felt confident in hiring him.
Describe the project in detail.
Paul and I went back and forth on the design for a while primarily because at first I was naive and thought I'd be able to do a lot of the work myself. He was patient with me and not pushy at all, and was very realistic with me about what to expect. He allowed me to try a few things, and let me come to my own conclusion that it was best to have him design my site. I sent him a few design ideas, and he created something even better than I had hoped!
We had a phone call and an in person meeting, and shared a google doc to be able to address all the functionality I wanted, and for him to clarify what my goals were. While the new site was being created he was hosting my old site and making sure it was still functional so that I didn't have any interruption in service. He communicated very clearly the tasks that I needed to complete (providing content, and updating blog posts) in order to launch the site, sent me a staging site so I could view everything before it launched and give feedback, and then ultimately went live! There were a few minor fixes to be made after it was launched and he took care of them right away.
What was the team composition?
I'm the only team member on my end of the project, and I only ever dealt one on one with Paul from YEG Digital
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Before this process, my blog was at a standstill, and my website functionality was not streamlined. Now I have a much easier time updating the back end, and I'm in the process of catching up on all the posts I fell behind on. Ultimately that's going to have a big impact on my google ranking. The feedback I've received from clients and family and friends is that they like both the visual impact of my site and the ease of navigation.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
This project was conducted at busy times for both myself and YEG Digital, and I anticipate it may have been completed a bit faster if it had happened at a slightly different time frame for both of us. However, we were able to communicate easily about any delays on either end, which I really appreciated. I was able to reach Paul whenever I needed to.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I've been completely satisfied with everything that YEG Digital has done for my website. Mine is a reasonably simple website, but I felt as though Paul gave it the same care that he would have a larger project.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None that I can think of!
YEG Digital was able to deliver the tasks and has also managed to launch the site. The end-users provided positive feedback for the site's flow, look, and overall user experience. The team was transparent and they were able to provide everything in a timely manner.
