The Regional Centre for Information and Scientific Development (RCISD) is an innovative SME, founded by scientists and R&D managers to carry out scientific research but also to manage R&D projects and to participate in coordination & support actions.

As a fast-moving actor, the flexibility of an SME makes it possible to identify and address real market needs and opportunities. RCISD is an “exchange place” between scientific knowledge and managerial skills which are brought together to establish mechanisms, provide services and set up and manage common activities.

RCISD also provides a forum where several organisations from different sectors can meet, exchange views and prepare themselves for joint R&D projects. With its resources and specialised tools RCISD aims to lower the barrier between ideas and implementation to make it easier for innovative players to exploit research results and contribute to the European Research Area and a sustainable European competitive position in global economy.

The backbone of RCISD is the qualification and experience of human resources having long-standing experience in project participation (both from the scientific and the management side) supported by the European Commission (since 1994).

As a well-established platform for regional and international cooperation RCISD is particularly interested in contributing to the development and integration of support strategies and decision-making practices in strategic international cooperation projects. For what projects/services did your company hire Wozify, and what were your goals?

Our goal was to build a new website for programme organisers of the Hungarian Researchers' Night, at the same time to offer a UX-friendly website for the audience - visitors, where they can browse, search from the programmes and register for the programmes where it was obligatory on a website that is visually attractive, fast and runs safe.

At the same time, we wanted to make sure, the partners offering programmes can create, edit, and publish programmes easily on a platform that is user-friendly and bug free.

How did you select Wozify and what were the deciding factors?

Wozify was recommended by one of our main partners. The deciding factor was that they have dealt with similar needs before, understood our goals quickly and were able to develop a website with such needs.

Moreover, they understood that the timeframe of the project is rather short. Also, they offered to work with us step by step, support our work by advice and explain the functions, process in a way that one without speaking the IT terminology could understand!

First, we discussed our goals and went through our specification, then the website and platform were created with our continuous involvement and feedback. Then it was tested, finally handed over to the partners and made public to the visitors.

Besides the CEO and the Chief Operating Officer, 3-4 developers, one UX expert.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The teamwork and communication were outstanding, the new website was created, we have received many positive feedbacks from the partners and visitors.

We communicated online, using Google Meet; at the beginning 1-2 times in a month, later if necessary, more times a week. The communication was effective and good. The timelines visioned were not precisely met, and the main challenge was reshaping the project because of covid19.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are ready to solve anything :) Also, they think ahead, they have valuable feedback, a great amount of lessons learnt from previous projects, so they can help with constructive & practical advice.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

A website always brings up new problems, bugs, challenges that need to be solved, you have to plan the processes, routes, design, functions very carefully. There are so many things to consider; I would have planned it more thoroughly.

Sometimes tasks were left without a responsible colleague, so was left unsolved and later we realized, nobody took care of it and we had to solve it very quickly. From Wozify's part a main developer dropped out halftime, so a new developer had to take over the whole project.

He did very well, learnt everything quickly, but the takeover meant some delay from Wozify's part.

I know the CEO and I trust him a lot. He is also my partner. I decided to go with them because I felt they were really good, it was by intuition and because I knew the CEO.

It has been awesome, they have delivered even more features than expected. They are really great and experienced and they came up with many ideas along the way, which have been implemented because they were really good ideas actually.

It has been perfect, they are very easy-going people. You can communicate with them very easy and the communication has been perfect. Same for the timelines.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their awesomeness according to the delivered product. It was very sophisticated technology and they did it very fast and well done. They are very creative and smart, and came up with new features! You can see that they really feel the project and put a lot of effort into it. They define themselves very well on their website, when they say that they cover the tech role within a startup.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I cannot tell anything negative about them, it would be very unfair.

I'm an entrepreneur mostly working in the field of written online content. The project where we worked with Propagent though was the set up of a jewelry webshop selling quality handmade jewelry with an emphasis on fantasy and sci-fi themes.

For what projects/services did your company hire Propagent, and what were your goals?

Though we knew we would start small, our team decided to have a self.owned and created webshop so we have room to grow without issues in the future. Propagent advised on this decision already, and after choosing to partner with them, we started setting up the webshop.

Our goal was to have a modern, elegant platform in WordPress in a few months time. By providing them our own - in many cases unique - designs, they built the platform, ironed out the bugs after testing and continue to be our service providers for upkeep, maintenance and any future requests and developments we might have.

How did you select Propagent and what were the deciding factors?

Word of mouth actually. Our graphic designer worked with Propagent previously and she recommended them. Our first contact and phone conversation with their representative was very casual and honest, we were actually discussing if unique development is the right choice for us?

Propagent transparently listed the pros and cons and left the decision up to us. That attitude is one of the reasons why working together is so easy.

Initially we set out to build the webshop in about 6 months. We didn't have all the graphic designs at the time though, and were providing them gradually, and Propagent was very flexible when these caused complications to the progressing development.

The webshop includes a main page, an About me, a Shop, Product category pages, a Blog, a FAQ and several others including Terms&conditions or Privacy Policies. The shop is based on WooCommerce, with card payment through Barion.

Our insta feed is embedded, and the site is multi currency as well as multi-lingual.

I've gotten to know several team members from Propagent. Our main contact was their Chief Operating Officer, but we also had many meetings with our developer(s), and when it came down to the most complex issues, got some help and insight from their CEO too.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We had no hard deadline, so enough to say we were happy with the time taken. We always knew what they were working on and what the prioritized tasks are.

We started off with understanding our needs and the scope of the projects, so they could plan and allocate time accordingly.

Detailed tasks were communicated through ticketing on an easy-to use task management platform. Overall issues, directions were discussed via phone or e-mail, and we held regular meetings at given milestones.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I liked their honest feedback. I really think it overall helps a partnership be more effective if things are stated as they are. Our project was a smaller one in Propagents portfolio, but that never stopped them from giving the tasks proper attention.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

This was our first time developing a website from scratch, so our team was quite ignorant when it came to correlations between our plans and development requirements.

This did cause some hiccups for them along the way, which I now know could have been avoided in some cases. We never felt any disadvantage because of it, though.

Completion of previously named components.

Project management was great, communication was excellent. Quality of work is outstanding (best of class). Delivery of items was overdue, often due to mitigating circumstances, such as the pharmacy wasn't giving them the info that they needed onetime to finish. But they always responded, communicated and delivered.

The quality of their work is best in class. The design and functionality of our website is excellent. We couldn't be happier with it. The guys really did a nice job.

In retrospect, it would have been better to set more definitive timelines with them to ensure more timely delivery. Overall, this was very minor and the quality of work/code/design outweighs having to wait a bit longer for it.

Our main scope with this cooperation to develop our company with a modern point of view about the IT project management. We have a quite large IT directory but we do not had a classic senior developer role who is able to oversee this project. Our scope was to find a good senior developer who is teaching our junior developers, oversee their work and help us to reach a modern and functional source code of our software.

The project main limiting factors are our junior developers's time and their knowledge. They had got everything from the senior developer. If there were any thing which depends only on the wozify's team, it had been delivered on time.

Horizont Media Ltd is a publishing company active in the agricultural and the packaging industry. We publish four print magazines and their online counterparts. I am the managing director.

For what projects/services did your company hire Wozify, and what were your goals?

We hired Wozify for the development, continued operation and maintenance of our four online magazines with hundreds of thousands of visitors.

SOLUTION

How did you select Wozify and what were the deciding factors?

We first started working with them as subcontractors of the marketing agency that was in charge of our web development. The deciding factors were their speed and quality of work. They could solve problems in days that the previous company couldn’t in months.

We experienced this first-hand and it was a no-brainer to hire them for the complete re-development of our online magazines.

When they started, we had our four existing legacy online magazines that were full of problems and critical functions didn’t work properly (for instance, our main source of revenue, banner ads, were practically non-functional).

So repairing the existing sites was the highest priority. Afterwards we started planning together the complete rebuilding of our sites. The challenge was that our legacy sites had several thousand articles each, and Wozify needed to come up with a plan to migrate them onto the new sites without disruption of the service and loss of SEO value accumulated throughout the years.

They rebuilt our magazines one by one, making each switch from old to new completely seamless.

We worked with a project manager and two engineers under the supervision of the managing director.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The new sites are easy to use (from an admin perspective), lightning fast and working as intended. Even our hosting costs decreased slightly. Our slowly decreasing visitor count started growing again almost immediately after the switch on each site.

We were always on the same page, they communicated really clearly and always asked the right questions. Their response time was always really short.

Their obsession with quality, attention to detail, and speed of delivery are impressive in the workflow.
