Re:Align Tenant Services Rebranding
A place of work is hallowed ground for companies, and it needs to fulfill every requirement beyond all expectations. The right place, for the right price, in the right location: Companies need help getting it right.
When Re:Align Tenant Strategies approached Workshop Built about an extensive rebrand, we dug in and did our homework. We discovered their story, and why their clients love them (and spread the word to others).
The insights were gamechanging and lead to a fresh new idenitity that reflected the outlook of the partners.

“I really enjoyed Workshop Built’s communication and breadth of expertise.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was the creative director at Associa, a real estate management company with over 10,000 employees. In my role, I managed the creative team, which was part of the overall marketing team, so I oversaw our rebranding and website design efforts.
What challenge were you trying to address with Workshop Built?
We were looking to refresh our company’s overall brand and our marketing website. Additionally, we wanted to provide our branch office locations with their own websites as well. We have around 65 branch locations. However, they weren’t getting a lot of traffic.
Our branches were competing with a lot of small businesses. Therefore, we wanted them to be perceived as more local businesses with local agents while having a big umbrella company backing them. We approached Workshop Built to help us out.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Initially, Workshop Built took us through a brand discovery process, during which they interviewed various members of our executive team and some of our existing branches, as well as some of our customers. They broke this process down into individual interviews, giving participants more freedom to speak of what they thought our business needed with this rebranding. This process helped us get a glimpse into what we needed to work on.
From there, Workshop Built helped us do verbal brand work, which included developing our brand strategy, mission statements, core pillars, and values. We also developed both our internal and external marketing copy.
Then, we went into the visual rebranding process, during which Workshop Built helped us refresh our existing assets. This part of the project included designing new logo concepts and defying new colors and typefaces. We ultimately stuck with our original logo, but Workshop Built changed other brand elements.
Once we finished with the rebranding, we went into the website development work. For this stage, Workshop Built’s scope consisted of developing our main marketing website and creating three templates for our branches to use on their sites, applying the branding we had developed.
During this stage, Workshop Built also helped us create the site’s map, its UI/UX, and its copy. We gave them a lot of our existing copy, and they collaborated with our team to rewrite it. They also laid out the website’s structure and did the same thing with the templates.
Moreover, Workshop Built helped us implement enterprise-level features on our site to make it smoother. For example, they implemented an AI-powered search engine so that users can easily find the branch site relevant to their location quickly.
After delivering the site, Workshop built helped us with training and implementation so that my team could manage the website after the handoff. As for the technology stack, they developed everything on Webflow.
What is the team composition?
We worked with around five teammates from Workshop Built consistently throughout the project, including Robert (Founder & CEO), Abby (Managing Director), and Alan (Partner & Production Director). However, I don’t know how many more teammates were involved in the background.
How did you come to work with Workshop Built?
I found them through Clutch. Originally, I reached out to Workshop Built and a few other agencies on Clutch. From there, I had a call with Robert and talked about what we were looking for and the struggles I anticipated running into. Our branding hadn’t been touched since its inception 40 years ago, so although it was a needed change, it would also be a difficult change.
Still, I really enjoyed Robert’s and Workshop Built’s approach to making sure that our new brand would be telling our story. They pitched wonderful work, so we decided to hire them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $60,000 on the rebranding portion of the project, including branding strategy, verbal brand work, and visual branding. We also spent around $100,000 on the website redesign portion of the project, which included UI/UX design and website development work.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together on the branding in January 2022. The website redesign project started around April 2022, and the engagement ended in July 2022.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Workshop Built developed everything so that we could grow our sites ourselves. Our company mainly grows by acquisition, and we usually open 5–10 new branch locations per year. The fact that we now have templates to create new websites has made it a lot easier for us to onboard new branches and make them feel like part of a larger family.
As general feedback, our leadership enjoyed a lot of Workshop Built’s work, especially around the verbal brand and brand strategy work. That work, along with the discovery process, helped us find what was best for our clients and have a more modern brand that speaks better about us. Workshop Built was very successful at capturing how our company has evolved from the small company it was initially to the 10,000-employee company it is now.
We received a lot of positive feedback from customers; they liked our new website design and the AI-powered search elements because they made the site more focused on their use cases. We also received a lot of compliments from individual branch managers because they really enjoyed having their own website and digital footprint.
How did Workshop Built perform from a project management standpoint?
Workshop Built managed deadlines very well, and their communication was very straightforward. Although we had some delays, most of them were on our side due to the number of people involved from our end. Still, Workshop Built was very willing to work with us around those challenges.
During this project, there was a lot of collaboration between Workshop Built and our team, which was nice because we had in-house copywriters who were familiar with our brand and database. Additionally, Abby worked a lot with our internal project manager. Our teammates worked really well together to inform Workshop Built what we needed and answer their questions. Still, we really appreciated having Workshop Built’s outside perspective.
Throughout the project, we had a lot of revision rounds, but everything went well, considering that many stakeholders were involved. There were a lot of hands in the pie, but Workshop Built handled everything very well. They never made us feel like we were forced to do something. Additionally, they compromised very well and helped us manage our executive teams throughout the process.
On top of that, all of Workshop Built’s presentations were very well delivered. In some instances, they had to deliver the presentations to us, and we then had to deliver those presentations to our CEO. Still, Workshop Built did a very good job of providing me with the tools and materials needed to do that.
As for collaboration tools, Workshop Built used ClickUp to manage the project. Although we used Asana internally, I really enjoyed that they were able to share the ClickUp project with us. Using this tool gave us visibility into the project and helped us understand the deliverables we needed to provide ourselves.
Additionally, we were able to see what Workshop Built was working on and where we were in the process. For example, if our team felt that something was taking very long, we could see the status of that part of the project on ClickUp.
In addition to ClickUp, we had a Slack integration together, which helped us have quick access to their team through messaging. Having a direct line with Abby and Alan really helped us keep things moving smoothly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Something I really enjoyed about working with Workshop Built was that half of their team was in the US, and the other half was in Spain. Therefore, it felt like they were working on our project 24/7, which was very nice because everything was always moving.
I really enjoyed Workshop Built’s communication and breadth of expertise. Our company has offices in Mexico and Canada as well, so getting an additional European perspective was a nice addition to our project.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything Workshop Built could have improved on. If anything, it would have been great if they had communicated potential availability issues regarding holidays in Spain that we weren’t aware of. Every once in a while, some of their teammates were on holiday, which slowed us down a little bit. Still, it wasn’t a major issue.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Work with Workshop Built as best as you can on answering all their questions, ensuring that you provide thoughtful answers. They’ll take the time to understand your company, challenges, and stakeholders, so being collaborative from the beginning will be beneficial in the long run.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Morris-Med; we develop and commercialize medical technologies.
What challenge were you trying to address with Workshop Built?
We’ve contracted Workshop Built to provide marketing and web development services to our startup.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Workshop Built is essentially our marketing team. They provide services such as web development, logo development, literature development, testimonial videos, and others. We plan to work with them to incorporate Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter campaigns into our marketing plan.
The team has also helped us with branding. They started by trying to understand who we are and what we do. Then, they designed a branding campaign centered around our vision and mission.
They’re also building our e-commerce website from scratch using WordPress. The website design process was collaborative; we wanted a clean, simple, user-friendly design. The website will enable users to place orders and interact with us. Additionally, they're building interaction-driven features for users to directly identify and review our products via the website’s management tools.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked directly with four team members, including the CEO.
How did you come to work with Workshop Built?
We found them through a recommendation from a colleague. They were uniquely positioned and flexible to handle what we needed for a startup with our resources.
How much have you invested with them?
The preliminary project budget is $100,000; we’ve worked with them on a fee-for-service and equity-based partnership.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2021, and the partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Workshop Built has submitted high-quality deliverables that have exceeded our expectations. They’ve been open to providing us with unique marketing tools that have set us apart from our industry competitors.
They’ve also provided us with branding that has set us up for success with our customers. Their marketing vision for our product and company has helped us stand out. Their web development efforts have exceeded my expectations, and we haven’t encountered any bugs yet.
How did Workshop Built perform from a project management standpoint?
The team has been extremely collaborative and receptive to our feedback. They’re exceptional with regard to project management. Their level of communication and attention to detail has kept the project on point. They manage our team’s expectations effectively, which keeps us aligned.
We meet with the team weekly via Zoom and communicate via email. We also meet with the CEO face-to-face on a monthly basis.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’ve been impressed with their ability to roll their sleeves up and learn about our business, mission, and products before providing us with branding tools. They understand our company and vision and have incorporated them into our marketing message.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The project is still in development, but I have nothing they could improve on thus far.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I recommend signing with Workshop Built immediately; they'll become busy due to the quality of their work and resources. As a smaller company, they’re taking on clients, so if you have the opportunity to work with them, don’t hesitate.

Branding, Website, & Style Guide for Real Estate Company

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the president of a real estate development company. We focus on creating environments for clients in the life sciences industry.
What challenge were you trying to address with Workshop Built?
We were looking to have our visions, objectives, and core values materialized because we were a new company.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They did some background research on our company and discussed the brand with our partners. They helped with everything from brand concept to developing a brand guide and collateral. This included building our website and logo. Their team helped us select a PR firm as well. They also help with branding for individual properties.
Currently, they’re working on a video for us and marketing materials for pitching.
What is the team composition?
We primarily work with Hatsuko (Growth Marketing Director) and Robert (Founder & CEO). The rest of the team is scaled up or down according to our project needs.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested between $250,000–$300,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in 2019, and our relationship has grown since then as our company has grown.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I wouldn’t keep using them if I didn’t think they were doing a great job. Their pricing, customer service, and quality of work are the best of all the companies I’ve looked at. They bring a new perspective and put a lot of thought into their work. They balance a lot of things very well.
How did Workshop Built perform from a project management standpoint?
The team is great about working with a large company with multiple stakeholders. They always deliver on time and handle project management with ease. Even though the work can be complex, they never seem overwhelmed.
We used a software to provide feedback. We also have calls on an as-needed basis. For each project, we schedule check-ins and due dates for each component. There is a great sense of accountability. They’re articulate communicators.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I can’t say enough good things about them. They’re really focused and sharp. They customize the team and their work for each project. They’re also cost-effective.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything. We’ve been really happy.

Branding & Web Development for Real Estate Company
"Workshop's approach was instrumental, they spent time understanding the details surrounding our addressable market."

The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Managing Partner of REvolve Growth Partners, a company (affiliated with KW Commercial) that advises clients in the purchase and sale of commercial real estate.
For what projects/services did your company hire Workshop Built?
Workshop helped with everything from brand development to systems and execution of various marketing initiatives.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goal was to develop a brand, website, systems, and related marketing collateral which communicated to our clients that we are established, we have a "greater purpose" in our advisory work, and we're serious about the "family" segment of the commercial real estate market that we serve.
How did you select Workshop Built?
I was introduced to their work by a family friend. After meeting the principals, understanding their business, and reviewing the detailed proposal that was provided to us, they were a clear stand-out from the crowd of "website developers". We wanted and needed more.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Our scope included brand discovery, naming concept/development, verbal & visual brand development, website design & development, creative package (marketing collateral), growth stack build (systems development & training/implementation), and our first marketing campaign.
What was the team composition?
We worked directly with the founders of Workshop Built, their program director, and a verbal brand strategy partner. Workshop also had a partner office in Spain which helped expedite changes while we're sleeping!! Outstanding.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
